Flash :: Professional - Website - Use The FTP Server To Upload The Swf And Index.html File
Dec 8, 2011
I am doing a simple project for school, and I had to develop a website off of a premade template, the URL is [URL]. If you go to the about page there is supposed to be a video in the TV that plays, when I use the FTP server to upload the swf and index.html file, where am I supposed to put my video file so flash finds it and it plays? also having the same problem on the portfolio page with my pictures not being there. When I click the small icons on the left, the larger picture is supposed to show up in the right picture frame.
I have created a full website in Flash CS5 and coming across a problem when uploading it to my website, it's cutting about 2 inch off the top and bottom. When I play it in Flash CS5 it works with no problems at all also when you publish the website the SWF plays fine but the HTML file lie
I was reading about Flex- JavaScript communication via ExternalInterface.But I had a doubt, it said that the javascript code should be written in the HTML file of the application ? Now which is this HTML file ? Is it the index.template.html file per project or the HTML file created per MXML application ?
Why is it that the flash animation is so slow to upload to the site...Is this something I need to do or something to discuss with the server folks at Godaddy?
If you have an .as file in the global include directory do you have to upload it to your server with the flash file or does it compile the flash file with the included info?
I created a simple flash mp3 player to play songs on my boyfriend's band's website.. It works fine when I test it locally on my computer, however, once I upload the .swf file to the server, it takes forever (5+ min) to load the songs. I am using AS2... here is the code I am using...
var dynamic_sound:Sound = new Sound(); dynamic_sound.onLoad = function() { dynamic_sound.start(0,1);[code].....
I have an HTML form with a file upload element, which is based on Uploadify. Unfortunately, if the browser doesn't have flash installed/enabled (I tested on Chrome and Safari), then the file upload element is completely disappearing, while I would have expected to have at least plain, regular, file upload html element as a fallback.
You can see this behavior even in Uploadify official demo (as of today, 28.2.2011):
none of these work in the situation that flash is installed, but is disabled ! for example, this line:
if (swfobject.getFlashPlayerVersion().major === 0)
behaves the same weather flash is installed and enabled, or installed and disabled I thought about obtaining uploadify API and checking it, but I have found zero examples
I have a website made in flash uploaded on a server. It was working fine tomorrow and today it shows blank page, why so ?? this is the link [URL] . There's an index.html page and main.swf file
I'm doing a test install before we update our old server to 4.03.I've got the server software installed and configured (4.03 server, using iis for web).All the test stuff on the sample index page works, except for the dynamic stream tab.I've eyeballed the .f4m file, and tried putting in a complete url to the samples...but no luck.i just keep getting the stock connection timed out message.
Where do i need to look to start confiriming where this issue may be coming from?I've made made sure I can reach all the test videos by making flash players for them, calling them via rtmp... no problems.It's got to be something dumb with either the f4m file, or the way it's being served (btw, i have added all the mime types to iis , including .f4m as video/mp4....which is one of two ways I've seen it added).
how to password protect a swf uploaded to my website.
I have a swf that is a work in progress, is NOT ready for public viewing, and i need some critique from a friend in the USA, and if i could upload it and give her the password, it would be viewable only for her, or for whoever else i'd give the password.
So, i've looked at a thread from a while back,[URL], which explains stuff that is beyond me, on xml programming.
And, i am aware that the Publish settings has an option to add a password, I tried it but am unsure what that does if anything.
I created a very simple flash intro and I just need the swf file to index2a.html. The swf file sits in the html file. Here is the link http://thinkprint.at/maunz I'm using Flash CS3
The title says it all. Anyone know how I would code a file/pic upload form in flash. I have seen examples that you can use php. However I have tried the php/java I designed for my dreamweaver sites. I think It's time I get with the real designers and us flash for my websites.
when I run index.html (loads the swf file) locally, the 'ID' is not changing when i resfresh the window. I clear browsing history and the ID changes when I resfresh. Is there a way to tell my swf file to ignore the browsing history so that it will change the ID number everythime I refresh the swf file? Is it because I'm using a textfiled to display it? this is the fla file the displays the ID
import com.actions.getXML.*; var feed:XML; var myText:TextField = new TextField(); var modelsXML:loadXML = new loadXML("localhost/a_test2/data.xml");
I am trying to upload a file on server using File class. Its working fine on local machine. But when i a placing the php file on server, it is giving Error #2038: File I/O Error.
Currently working on a site built in Django and i'm getting an issue when they try uploading a file on there PC. In IE it says 'HTTP error' and in Firefox it says 'IO error'. They are using IE 8 and the latest version of firefox with Windows media edition.
I am unable to uploade the file "expressInstall.swf" generated by Flash CS4 AS2.0. DreamWeaver displays the following error message:
"Scripts:expressInstall.swf - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put expressInstall.swf. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem."
I am working on a mac but my question is what files do I need to export out of CS5 to include in my upload besides the index SWF and index html? Do I have to export each individual page? Each individual photo? each individual button, ect? Or is there a main folder I can export and up load to my server. Also for all the photos I have put into the project, do I need to upload them as a seperate folder, if so, is there a specific name I should label it so it registers?
I have a strange problem: When I type the absolute URL to my SWF file it works fine; however, only the background image appears when the SWF is embedded in the home page.
I am trying to upload the files to the remote server using PHP with Flex interface. If it's not localhost, it shows the security error. I have already put the crossdomain.xml in the tomcat web app root directory to allow all the domains. However, the security error is still shown when I tried to upload the file.
