I have a Flex and Java application and i am using BlazeDS between flex and java. Generally my application works fine. I observed when ever i try fetch data little faster(not giving gap between two fetch commands) then i am getting the error "Server error :faultCode:Channel.Call.Failed faultString:'error' faultDetail:'NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed'"

I have tried just returning "hello from grails" and that works just fine. I have alos tried the following return showInstanceList the JDO docs say the query.execute() returns a collection. Why I cant just return that to Flex I have no clue. after playing around with this some more I was able to get a result event back by have grails convert the object to JSON or XML wish I could just return a damn ArrayList.

View 2 RepliesI have a grails application that will be rendering an html page into a pdf file and I have a flex application sitting on a server that is going to accept REST parameters and construct a graph based on the parameters (which will be formatted in JSON). What I want to do is make a call to the flex app with my parameters and have the flex app create the graph, render a JPEG of the graph, then send an image back to grails. In other words, I want to put an HTML img src=that will render the image directly to the page so that my PDF Plugin in grails will render it into the PDF.

I'm looking for a way to collect the file dependencies from Flex ActionScript and MXML files. I was hoping that mxmlc could spit them out (like gcc's -M option), but its option list doesn't seem to have anything relevant. I could write a parser, but would prefer not to reinvent the wheel if it has already been done, particularly given the two very different languages involved. In particular, star imports and in-package implicit imports could be troublesome.

However, the smaller of the Applications does not require much of the code that the larger one does. I'm trying to ensure that code that isn't required by the smaller application isn't getting compiled into it.
View 1 RepliesI'm used to building applications using pure AS3. I always pass dependencies into the constructor of classes I make, but this method seems to not work out well for Flex MXML views. It seems like I should define setters on the MXML class, which map to attributes in the tag/class instantiation. But using this method I cannot specify which properties are required and in what order I expect them etc. What is the preferred method to give a Flex view it's dependencies?

This vo is also a BlazeDS entity and is mapped to a remote java object. When shell loads first module everything is ok. The second module is a list of ShopRegionVOs and item change is handled with the following code:

I'm using Flex 3.5, BlazeDS 3.2.0.3978 and EJB3 for backend. There are two RPC which are important to the problem. The first call will get a list of ThirdParty objects, this works fine. The second call happens when the user clicks on a ThirdParty, the details of this object (lazy collections) are retrieved. A single object is returned with most fields serialized. I say most, because for some reason, 4 boolean fields are not serialized and are put on false by flex by default.[code]I've set blazeDS logging to debug and all fields but these booleans are shown in the output. Next, I've tried stepping through the serialization process but it's fairly easy to get lost in there.

The task is to try to connect directly to a stateless EJB deployed on Glassfish. I have already done this via Web Service and I can also connect to the EJB by calling a remote java object which uses JNDI to find and load the bean.
