I was wondering if there is a function/method to get next and previous date of a selected day
something like getpreviousday hh or something? All I could find is function that people created themselves, I thought maybe there is already a built-in function.
I have some code as follows:

In essence, I am trying to add 5 days onto the selected date in df_date, and put that date into df_dateDue. This fires off via an EventListener on a combobox. Both df_date and df_dateDue are dateFields.
OK, so the first time that I run this, it works fine; df_date stays the same and df_dateDue is set to 5 days past df_date. However, the next time that I run it, df_dateDue increments by 10 days from df_date, the next time by 15, and so on.
So, stepping through the code shows that somehow df_date has become linked to the temp var, and that the temp var is not resetting itself each time the function is called.
Example: df_date = 01 Jan, df_dateDue = 01 Jan.
Fire off the event, df_date = 01 Jan, df_dateDue = 06 Jan Fire off the event again. At this point, var temp = 06 Jan (even though df_date still shows 01 Jan), and df_dateDue is then set to 11 Jan Fire off the event again. At this point var temp = 11 Jan (even though df_date = 01 Jan), and df_dateDue is then set to 16 Jan

Each piece of work i'm displaying resides within a mc on the main time line, and within that each piece of my work lives in its own keyframe, so the site has a basic 'mc.gotoandstop("label")' navigation. I can get my images to fade in using a AS tween, but I want to get the previous image/piece of work to fade out before jumping to the selected key frame and fading in the selected work. Currently, the innards of my button function reads something like:
tween (fadeout)
gotoandstop
tween (fade in)
but this clearly not the right way to go about it? Is there a way of putting slight delay after the fade out tween in the function? To let it fully fade out before fading in the new work?

I am experiencing a very strange behavoiour of Flex Date object. My web service is written in .Net 3.5 and all object which I am retriving or updating have Creation Date (Date Type) in .Net code.
But when I am calling .Net web service and displaying data in Flex, Flex displaying a different Date than what stored in web service. When I update my object using Flex UI, every time update time is very different than actual update time set by .Net code.

my program is i can choose several movie to load and the movies are save in an array... For example: i choose movie 1 , 2 and 3. Movie 1 was loaded. I'm using flash CS4 and actionscript 2.0. I have a situation where I need to locate and check the date of an external file (either .exe or .swf) and return that date string to a variable in flash. I then need to display that date to a piece of dynamic text within the flash file. Is there a function within action script that will check and retrieve the file date of an external file.

I'm trying to determine the difference in time between todays date and a future date. I only need to determine how many months and days it is between todays date and this future date. Anyone know of any prebaked scripts anywhere for determining what todays date is and subtracting it from the end date would be? [code]So if today's date is less then the end date I'd like to determine how many months and days are left until the end date is reached and display the number of months and days until that end date.
