Flex :: Inserting Objects Into Database From App Not Working?

I am trying to make a mobile app that inserts information into a database and while I have it pulling information and I have created my services, when I use the standard create service that Flash Builder 4.6 automatically makes, it just does not insert anything at all into the database.
Now, as far as I am concerned, this should then be writing to the database the items of SesID, Lat and Long using the created service token, but when I do this, nothing has entered into the database at all.

i'm not very good with PHP but after doing some research and reading some tutorials i think that is good to go. my text fields in flash have the variables that i'm using in the POST_VARS commands in PHP and similar instance names. how would i go about writing the actionscript to collect this data and insert it into the database in flash (or make corrections to the PHP i already have if it isn't ready).

I know this question is vague, but I have a school project, which works with HttpServices that call to PHP-files to insert and retrieve data from a database. Now the teacher told me I have to work with valueObjects to work with the database, but I haven't received any further information.

That part works fine and I can run a SELECT query on my database and return the results to Flash - No problem!However, I get constant errors when I try to use the INSERT command. I must be clear that the INSERT command is working fine and it DOES update the database - It's the callback to Flash that brings up error:ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property length not found on Boolean and there is no default value.at main/onReturnSchoolPupilsSetup()My PHP code is as follows:

I want to create a Flex 3 application running in Adobe Air that accesses an SQLite database and I need to keep this database in sync with an SQL server 2005 database running a website.Is this something that Flex supports or is it going to be a custom script? Also, has anybody done anything like this?
Edit: The synchronisation can be done on a daily basis rather than real time. The data will be read only from a front end perspective with a CMS to do updates on the website.

I have researched this issue all over and most people say use the .refresh() method to update a datagrid after updating or adding a new record. This does not do anything. So, my issue is this. I have a mySQL database hosted I am connecting via PHP, I have 1 mxml file and 2 php files (I know I can use just 1 but I am learning and this was easier for me to use for troubleshooting). The issue is no matter what I change on the datagrid the update does not show on the datagrid unless I close out of IE and reopen it. I can refresh or open the page in another window and the update does not show. I have to exit entirely and restart in order for any updates or additions to show.Here is my licenseTracker.mxml

I have updated the mxml code to only show the needed code for the program to run the update.
I am new to Flex and have an issue I hope you all can help me out with.

I am planning on using Flash Builder 4/Flex to write an AIR application which is primarily based around recording, storing and analyzing data.I'll be creating charts etc that need to update in almost real time.It's essential to me that the application be able to function without an internet connection so I need a local database of some variety,but I would also eventually like to build in online synchronization of the data where either database can be update each other based on newer information. Moreover, some type of encryption would definitely be welcome, and speed is a large concern
Synchronization: Primarily updates/additions/deletions will be done on the offline database, but ideally I want to have a web interface that will allow the same updates/additions/deletions and will be synced (beyond that I'm not sure exactly how to do it as I can model that based on what is most achievable).I'm wondering if there's any prebuilt engine that could handle the synchronization of 2 databases. I may end up having the web interface only be for additions, which would be significantly easier to sync.. and I may start that way, but i want to build with technologies that will best allow me to implement full online crud at some point.

Here is the issue: a client wants his entire equipment inventory accessible by persons navigating to his jquery mobile site. The inventory that exists on the desktop site was, as I understood, built with Flex. Is it possible to access this database for the jquery mobile site? I believe it is. I have a very simple test going with shared objects in flex with mobile I have a person class.

Can shared objects even store an array of objects properly. It is the same with the persistanceManager I believe.

I come from the Delphi school. I was really used and pleased with Delphi grids with the plus features of InfoPower. Not just me, my users loves all features that include grids. Some motives for that are: With grids they have the ability to insert detail information using only the keyboard. Input, Tab, Input, Tab, Input Tab (automatically insert new row), input, tab, etc. They were able to simply click in a row and edit itīs data. They could navigate between records using only arrow keys. In my flex apps Iīve being working arround this quite often, sometimes using a popup to insert data, sometimes using repeater instead of grid. But now I really really need some intuitive, fast way for my users to insert this data.
I am trying to use DataGrid (or AdvancedDataGrid) with inline editors and I am living a real hell to do that. For the last 3 days I am struggling, tweaking and workarrounding in order to try to mimic the features that I had with Delphi.
Having all these problems and not getting substantial material to solve them makes me think the (now obvious) fact that it is just not the way grids are intended to work in flex. My question is: what are the patterns used in flex applications to make sequencial, intuitive, fast, keyboard only insertions in a detail?

How do i save an array of objects, like this: [{n:1,bb:4},{n:2,bb:4,r:1},{n:6,bb:7},...] to a database? I was thinking i would have to convert it to string, but if i do that, when i retrieve it from the database, how am i going to use it?
EDIT: forgot to mention that the objects can contain an array of objects as well, but there won't be any more arrays beyond that point.

So, here is the question. I have a small flash application that sends some variables to a php script (via POST), and that php script sends them to a mySQL database.
This works fine when I'm testing my flash offline, I go to phpmyadmin, and the registry is done. When I upload the swf to a online html, this stops working. It no longer creates another registry in the database. I have no ideia why this happens.
I read a bit about it and found out about cross domain policy, and thought it might be the problem. Thus I made a small .xml file and uploaded it to both servers (the one the swf is on, and the one that has the database), and its still not working.

Internally Flash obviously keeps a list of the primitives drawn using Graphics so I wondered if you have many such primitives in a Sprite, can you re-position/remove/alter individual items rather than clear and re-draw everything? Or is this deeper into the bowels of Flash than you're allowed (or recommended) to go?

I'm using Zend AMF to send my remote objects to Flex. I've defined a Constant class and created getASClassName() method. Then I've created Action script class in flex.
Objects are send successfully, but they are deserialized to generic Objects in Flex instead of specific ones. EDIT: On network monitor in Flex I can see that AMF value is set to com.my.project.valueobjects.Constant. Although array from event.result contains Objects.

I have a service which returns an Array of ObjectProxy objects. I would like to cast this to a custom object (a value object) and create an ArrayCollection. I will try to give as much detail as I can. I am creating an CRM application using Flex(Cairngorm 2)/Java/Hibernate. The basic problem I am having is this: I have a Customer class in Java that has an ArrayList of Address classes. I have a Customer class in Flex that has an ArrayCollection of Address classes. When I make the remote object call for a Customer I get back a Customer object in Flex, but the ArrayCollecion objects have a data type of Object instead of Address. If I try to call for a List of Address classes I get the same result. If I try to call for a List of Customer classes I get a list of Customer classes in Flex. Using tomcat 6 with the following jars:

I have a datagrid which is editable and I need to send that back to the database via a CFC for insertion into the database after all the editing is complete. Dumping the array collection to cfdump tells me that I have an array with items and a structure but i cannot understand how to "loop" through each and insert into the DB.There seems to be very little written which actually works! My MXML and CFC are below but give me the error of "You have attempted to dereference a scalar variable of type class coldfusion.runtime.Array as a structure with members." -which is nice

I am working on a function to generate a form at runtime in Flex based on a call to the DB. The call to the DB returns the field types, id, tooltips etc as an arraycollection, the arraycollection is then parsed in order to ascertain what control to display based on the type field in the array - this bit works fine.However, i am stuck on trying to save the form fields back to the database using a CFC.my form rendering code is as follows but how do i save values entered back to the database? rendering code..

I am preparing a navigation (using panning) movie in Flash. There is very big (6000x4000) image (area photo from top) on the stage and it's position moves once user moves his mouse. Thus, user can navigate on the area.But flash really drives me insane while working on this movie. It usually suddenly stops and quits with error.I'd like to ask what can i do? should i use a different method???It seems, Adobe becomes stupid on large files and there are bugs in somewhere Flash. For example; how can i use a method like Google Maps (it loads an another image when you move another position. Not loads all images together and doesnt consumpt large amount of resources.)?

When I click on any of the chairs, the appropriate text loads in the textfields. But when I try a different items like tables. It shows up undefined.

I have all the info in 1 txt file seperated appropriately with the &. As I said, all the chairs load up each part of the text file as it should but every other item comes up as undefined in the textbox. I tried giving each loaderTxt a number to differenciate as seperate variables, yet no avail.
