I have a directory that contains a .swf and assets. What I would like to do is put all of these in a folder and then have the projector outside of this folder.
So the projector would basically launch the swf that is within the assets folder from outside of it.
I am trying to create .txt file dynamically from a Flash projector exe on to the local system for a game, Wherein the score and the players name should be stored.I have tried using the Loadvariable POST method to no avail. CAn anyone please help me through with this problem.
I have a Flash projector in CD. Besides having an autorun file, if I want to create a shortcut automatically for this projector when the CD is inserted, how do I do ?
Am I able to publish a Windows/Macintosh projector from Flash Builder 4? I would like a solution that stays within the IDE, rather than having to open FlashPlayer.exe and export the EXE/App.
I have a presentation that I'm trying to create and export to a projector file. My problem is that I have gone beyond the allowed 16000 frames so the presentation stops in the middle and loops back to the beginning.
I have a flex application (.swf) and want to create a projector file. When I choose File-> create projector I get the .app file because I work on a Mac. I know I can create both projector formats for windows and mac using the export feature in Flash Professional. But this is not an option since it's Flex.Is there any other way rather than switching to windows to create the file?
I used to make fullscreen Flash websites, using 100x100 width/height and "No Scale" on Publish Settings.Everything is ok on a browser, since I can position elements using relative coordinates for liquid layouts.Now I have to make a fullscreen standalone .exe projector.To get fullscreen I use fscommand("fullscreen", "true") on the first frame and it works.
The problem is:If I create a 1024x768 Flash movie, even with 100x100 and "No Scale" activated, the movie remains at 1024x768.So, if I trace stage.stageWidth and stage.stageHeight, those remain respectively at "1024" and "768", but I need for the movie to get the max width and max height available on the system.
In the browser it happens automatically, but in the Flash projector it doesn't. how can I get the movie to match the exact size of the screen where it runs?I've tried with Capabilities.screenResolutionX and Y but there is no way (and I think it's normal) to set the stage.width and stage.height properties on runtime.
The problem is when I publish it, the SWF version works fine on the Mac, and the PC EXE version runs fine on a PC, but the Mac Projector doe not. When I double-click the icon, it opens the Flash player (red square with the "f" in it) showing the name of my Projector in the dock, but nothing happens.It is not hung, I can go through the menu items at the top of the screen for the flash player, it just isn't loading the project for some reason.
I have read several posts where people discuss TOPMOST and SWF Studio as options for keeping applications running in the top of the z order.
My question is: Is there a way to create a projector that always stays on top (e.g. even if a windows update occurs) without purchasing SWF Studio? As I understand TOPMOST is only for launched applications, not for the application itself.
make something appear on the monitor/screen of a computer or laptop, but have a projector ignore it? I've seen it done before in presentations where the speaker has "cue cards" on the laptop screen, but these don't get projected so they remain hidden from the audience.
I am still running Flash MX (04). Because I find flash a little more useable than other progs, I am using it to create a presentation. I am creating a project that I intend to only use as a standalone SWF (not uploadable to a site or anything). I intend to play the SWF full screen on a laptop and output to an LCD projector as a presentation. I have the stage set at 1024 x 768 and am using movie clips imported/embedded (which arent the full 1024x768 but slightly smaller ), text, photo's and audio. I am nearly 2/3rds the way through and the SWF file size is growing (currently at 16 meg). I expect it to be in the region of 90 meg + or so as some audio yet to be loaded and still photos are quite size heavy. Is there any way i can get the audio to sound a little clear as when the SWF is published the sound seems to lose a little quality in the compression. Also, what is the maximum size you would recommend a standalone SWF in this scenario should/could be?
I need to make a hybrid CD-Rom that has PDFs. I want to launch the PDF in Acrobat, not a browser (they interactive and have bookmarks etc). I can get it to work on the PC side with no problem but am having trouble on the Mac.
I've made an applescript that works, and have it in the "fscommand" folder.
However, I can't get the Flash projector to launch it. I'm using this code on a button;
quote:
on (release) { fscommand("exec", "testing.app"); }
It's a disk image. I can't work out why it doesn't work and it is driving me insane.
I have a AS2 based projector compiled into EXE using mprojector. I need to add spellchecking to the textboxes, is there any spellchecker available for AS2??? I have only found valid solutions for AS3.
I'm doing an interactive kiosk and the FlashPlayer on the screens we're using is like a modified Flash7 or something and it has a lot of trouble reading even the most simple actionscript (extremely frustrating). So I'm trying to load an external projector file (.Exe) from the SWF, which would solve everything.The file that calls the Exe MUST be a SWF.I've tried to wrap my head around possible workarounds for a while now, but haven't much luck.
I am trying to do something really simple but I think there may be a bug in flash. I want to create a fullscreen projector which does not scale the stage and contains movies, the movies should not play fullscreen. I want the videos to stay exactly the size as I have set them up on the stage as they have titles above them. The issues I am facing are as follows;
1) If I place the movie on frame1 of my timeline along with the code
I use a variable (say x) in all the flash files i create. And then i create projector of these files..Now I wanna create another flash file, that will read whats the value of x directly from the projector.In x, i store some kinda password, or something like that,which i dont want to show the user... And this x unlocks the full capacity of the program, like some master control... And also every one of the file has different password...So, there is a probability that i may forget the password... So i am attempting to create some type of extractor/cracker to get this password (value of x).[code]
abc is the file which from which i want to extract the value of x.. This code loads abc.swf into the movie clip (whose name is z) at the root level.The x in the extractor takes the value of x from the loaded movie, and then displays it later... I cant figure how to get this working with my exe(s)??
I recently was assigned to make an interactive CD using Flash. However, there is some content that needs to be downloaded, or loaded from the CD such as .jpg's, pdf's, .doc's. I've looked at some ways to do it, such as batch files to load files, but the instructions were unclear to me. (I also work on a Mac and need this to be cross-platform) Also, the content cannot be loaded to the web and use a getURL command. The client wants the user to be able to download or load it from the CD by the click of a button.
I have been doing tests to make sure my interactive cd works correctly on all computers, however, I have run into a problem with the Flash Mac Projector. It seems that on one mac the file requires unziping before being used? On another mac the computer cannot open it, simply ignoring clicks on the file.I am publishing the file on a pc, and the winzip icon appears next to the mac .hqx projector file, would this create a problem?
I have created a cd-rom in flash which autoruns and opens up as a fullscreen projector. The cd launches various powerpoint files from without the movie, however, once i close the powerpoint file, the projector is no longer fullscreen.
Is there any way I can keep the flash movie running fullscreen behind the powerpoint files, so when i close them, the flash movie is the same.
what I'm using in a Mac projector that's on a CD-ROM:
Code: protected function get urlRequest():URLRequest { return new URLRequest("http://www.kirupa.com");
[code]...
Basically, all I want is a thing where:a user puts in a CD-ROMopens the projectorclicks a button and the user's browser goes to the specified web pageThis works fine on a PC projector. On a Mac, it never opens the page. It seems like the Mac puts the focus on the default browser program, but never goes to the URL.
I'm creating a flash projector file and need to scale background full-screen. The background is a gradient shape. I made it full screen and resized background so width and height is stage width and height but it still won't work.
I need to run a script if a user "x" out of the flash projector. This script is a LoadVars() script that sends info to php it does not need to receive anything, just send._root.onUnload does not seem trigger or the LoadVars script does not have enough time to run. I am not sure. Does anyone know how to get code to run if the user "x" out of the program?
Code: //this script does not run //even if I select a specific movie to check for the unload, it doesn't run
I swear, this problem alone is the toughest issue I've ever had to figure out with Flash.Let me explain... You created a preloader to show a loading external swf's bytes loaded, which is to be placed in a empty movieclip once fully loaded.Your overall size for your fla.is around 40 mb. Create a windows projector.exe and the loader doesn't work, the movie loads but you don't see a loader. I've exhausted every possible solution I can think of.
