I have a Flash projector in CD. Besides having an autorun file, if I want to create a shortcut automatically for this projector when the CD is inserted, how do I do ?

The problem is that i want to open the 'File' menu automatically when i press Alt+f key.I could capture the keyevents on the view.But how to open the File Menu of the MenuBar (what is the function that needs to be called from MenuBar Class to popup those sub menuitems) ?

Is there a way to automatically maximize the Flash Player window when using a projector? In other words, when someone double-clicks the projector EXE, I want it to start in a Maximized window.
I am developping a as3 project for a kiosk that should run in full screen mode.I am using eclipse for the programming and Flash CS4 to prepare all the swf library assets.Once I publish the swf, I open it in the flash player and export the file as a projector file.
When I open the projector file it doesn't go full screen automatically.
Where can I set the project to go full screen?In the code?Or is there a preference setting for the projector file?Or another way to publish the projector file that will allow me to set the full screen mode?I remember using fscommand in as2 but that doesn't seem to work anymore.
Does anyone know if there is an option to not create a shortcut to an AIR application after its installation?
Currently, all I have found is an option to choose the location of the application shortcut from within the start menu (in the application descriptor file, using the programMenuFolder option)
I cannot find Pan anywhere in the shortcut key explorer thing. I want to add the middle mouse button click to the Pan behavior.

So the projector would basically launch the swf that is within the assets folder from outside of it.
I do not have access to an .fla for this project.

Is it possible to use AS3 to create and save a swf file automatically?By this I mean that I have a folder of images (100+ sequential images) which form a full animation sequence. I could import the sequence directly and use the IDE to do it - but I have 100+ folders so that not really an option!
So as a theory, could it be possible to create an app that inputs the parent directory, reads through the folder, imports each image onto its own frame and exports the swf to a designated area?Its possible using php but MING is unreliable and wont precess interlaced jpg file and other swflib functions are quite poor.

View 2 RepliesI am currently trying to create a function (or set of functions) that automatically fades in a button for each cue point in a video the first time a video loads. This way the buttons only become accessible once that point in the video has passed. The buttons should stay active once the video is loaded.
The code below is what I have so far. Essentially all I have managed to do is trace the name of the cuePoint. I believe what I need to do is somehow assign the cue point name to an object, pass that reference to the "fadeIn" function and run the "fadeIn" function.It is worth noting that the buttons I am fading in are already on the timeline, so I do not need to create them in code. I just need to reference them.

I have attached a zip file which has a main.fla and a folder pages which contains 2 fla's p1.fla and p2.fla.The main page loads the first page which is p1 and as the main page has 2 buttons i am using _level script to know which page to load, actually i wanted to create 3 buttons. Since i have already created 2 buttons the first page automatically loads but when i click on the 2nd button it does'nt the p1 page goes but it comes back again.In the main there is a movie clip which has an instance name of page_mc and the code inside it is:

I know I can create both projector formats for windows and mac using the export feature in Flash Professional. But this is not an option since it's Flex.Is there any other way rather than switching to windows to create the file?

However, I would like to now create an animation that automatically draws a line onto the movie clip which ends up being curved, but I can't figure out how to convert the x, y coordinates of the pixels on the stage to the corresponding x, y values of the movie clip. I managed to make some code that works perfectly which, when the flash game is launched it randomly inserts a picture from the list you give it (word1.png, word2.png etc.)It works fine! But the problem is the place in which it appears, when i start the pictures appear in the top left corner of my flash game, but I want them to appear at preferably the location of a symbol or the x & y coordinates I specify (In actions obviously, i dont want to type these coordinates in game :P).Btw here is the code

I have a text box inside the MC which autosizes depending on how much text is inserted from an xml file. This should then obviously increase the height of my 'news_list' movieclip.What I want is for the next instance of the 'news_list' MC to be placed directly underneath the current one,no matter the height of the clip.Currently,I can only get it to position a specified distance below the current instance.The code above is what I've currently got,but I can't quite grasp how to grab the height of the current instance, and then use that in the code to place the next instance below it...
