IDE :: Go To A Specific 'page' Within Movie?

Ok - i have a main movie template. It simply contains 'loaders' to load in other swf files. There are a total of 6 different movies being loaded one at a time. It's a magazine of sorts.
So page 1 will load swf 1, and so on.
How can I configure this that if we want a user to go directly to page 3 of the movie - we can give them a URL to do it.
Neiman Marcus does something very similar.

i need to change the colour of a graphic in a specific movie in a specific frame. if i have a movie clip instance-named "sidetext" thats 15 frames long, and i want a graphic in the movie, called "letterp" to change to one of four colours that i want it to randomly at frame 10 and stay that colour uintil frame 15, how can i do this?

PageFlip v2.25 from UrL...Need to have the book automatically open to page 4 when loaded. Or open and skip to page 4 in the animation. It seems there is some commented out actionscript to do this but I am not sure how to put it into a working function.[code]

I am still learning Action Script but I have a problem with writing the full script for combing navigate to new URL and gotoAndPlay. More specifically what I want to do is use a button which when clicked will open a new page and then start playing my Flash movie at a certain frame on the Timeline. I have used buttons to navigate to a new URL and used the gotoAndPlay ( ) ; command to play a certain frame, both have been successful but when I combine the two I run into trouble. What happens is the new page loads correctly and goes to the specific frame but then opens the browser in a new window with the movie playing from the beginning. The correct sequence within the correct Webpage is playing but only if I close the current page, in other words what I am trying to achieve is running but in the background.

I have been working with this beautiful pageflip script kindly provided (opensource) by Macc [URL]
What I am trying to do is to disbale the page flip when the user clicks the corner of the page on a specific page, and rather have a button that when pressed will flip to the next page. I only want this on a few pages so do not want to disbale all the pages.

Looking for getURL syntax /parameters that will let me open/display a specific page of a PDF in a new browser window.
Tried this, but it's not working:
pdf_btn.onRelease = function() {
getURL("pdfs/sample_file.pdf#page=605", "_blank")
}
The pdf file opens in a browser window, but not to page 605. It opens to page 1 of the pdf.

It there any way of displaying videos on a website that would allow me to show just a clip of a video without physically slicing the file into actual clips? Specifically, I'd like to play the clips using an open source flash player. I could make specific clips, but that is time consuming and a maintenance nightmare.youtube won't work because it is very important we be able to control who views these videos. Also, this web application is running off of a classic LAMP stack.

I'm aware of the .click() method but the click must be on a prezi loaded (flash) so don't really have a html element to use.
What I have instead are the exactly coordinates of the place I want to simulate click on. Is there any way I can do that?
The click must activate a flash element. (A play button)
Note: There is a similar question around that have an answer witch require swf control. I don't have that so that method is not applicable.
One other quick question... what happens if I simulate a click on an element that has display: none. It click on the elements "under" it? (as a normal click would do; and yes I know this sounds funny but I don't know how to explain it otherwise). If yes I was thinking of making a position absolute div, put it on top of flash and use .click(). The problem is that i have a feeling that the click won't be applied on flash.
This is somehow a combination of javascript simulate mouse click on specific position and mouse click somewhere else on page (not on a specific div).

I am able to pass a variable from an html link that loads a separate html file and instructs the swf embedded file to go to a specific frame. But - I now need a link within an swf file on one page to open a new page and tell that swf to start on a specific frame and it is not working. I have reviewed and applied this wonderfull explanation contained in the post thread response from Mr. Catbert303 "linking to specific frame number or label from an html page" about the javascript and actionscript code combination wich allows the swf movie to force-jump into specific framelabel or framenumber and it also works perfectly whenever i go from the link "back to swf" on my plain html page to the movie content page (also html). But i need my swf movie content page to start playing from cero whenever it is played from start and not begining always at the specifyed frame in the actionscript code:

I have tried everything within the "if" & "else" conditionals and i can't get the swf movie content page to start playing from frame 1 everytime it is called up, but instead it looks like it reads the actionscript code described above and always takes you to the specifyed framelabel, not playing it from the start. I have a hunch i'm missing something extra on my actionscript code wich must determine if the swf file is to jump to the specified frame or start playing from cero, because if i remove the above AS2 code from frame 1, it then starts playing from cero normally like it should but won't jump to the specifyed frame when also needed from the HTML page.

the only "Home" button that works is on the "Theory" page, which is where the actionscript happens to be located(frame 76).. In other words, if I click on the "Theory" button, I'm able to return to my home page. However if I click on any other button, it plays straight through the remaining frames and loops back to the beginning.

The specific webpage is this [url]... the user select a week and the app reads the "Date" colum and uses the numbers in the same line in a calc... But when i Import this webpage it displays all the text in the webpage... how can i solve this? Can i specify wich data to use?

I have a website that I originally began to design in flash but later started developing new pages for it in html. The flash part of it has several pages on different frames and I have created links from the flash part to the other html pages, but, I can only link the html pages back to the main flash home page, and not the other pages in the flash part of the website.

I have an HTML frameset with a leftFrame and mainFrame. My navigation has been built in Flash and the SWF is embedded in the leftFrame. Is it possible to link to a specific part of my flash movie from an html page. Is there any way to link to a frame number or label? The site is html based, but the intro/home page is flash. I don't want users to have to see the intro every time they go back to the home page from somewhere else within the site. Is there something that I can append to my link on my html page to make it go to a specific frame in the swf?

I am making a flipping page book in flash and have had to create sections in different movies because it kept crashing when i tried to have all the pages in the same movie. I have 3 movies 'page flip4', 'pageflip4-2', and 'page flip 4-3' . I have used the code below to go (flip bacwards) from 'page flip4-2' to the frame label ''backflip'' in 'page flip4'..This works fine

Does someone have a working fla to illustrate how to load an external movie and zoom and pan to specific location of this movie (with easing)? With actionscript, not necessarily with a control for the user. I am looking for it for some time and unfortunately my programming abilities are not yet sufficient to find it out from scratch (but I am working on it).

i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

A lovely client of mine just decided after we had completed his flash presentation that he would love to be break the presentation into smaller chunks so we can link to the different parts of the presentation directly even thought it's one movie.
