PageFlip v2.25 from UrL...Need to have the book automatically open to page 4 when loaded. Or open and skip to page 4 in the animation. It seems there is some commented out actionscript to do this but I am not sure how to put it into a working function.[code]

Tried this, but it's not working:

The pdf file opens in a browser window, but not to page 605. It opens to page 1 of the pdf.
I am able to pass a variable from an html link that loads a separate html file and instructs the embedded file to go to a specific frame.But - I now need a link within an swf file on one page to open a new page and tell that swf to start on a specific frame and it is not working. Here is the code I use for the first example - works like a champ:

I bought one of those templates, and i was able to get around most of the stuff. But one last thing that I have issue with is that there is an AS2 script for a button, where you can change the page that you want to be updated. But every time that I click that button, it opens the new page. but then if I use the same button in the new page, and click on it, another page will open and that current page will get closed.

I am trying to have multiple links off site but have hit a brick wall. If I have the code listed below, it opens the second link as soon as you open the links page, If I have the"function onLinkClick (evt)", above btn6_btn I end up with the duplicate error message. Is there a way to have multiple link buttons on a page. I have played with this for hours.

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to figure out if it's possible to save a specific set of open files in Flash so that when you close the app and then reopen it, you would either see the files that were open when you closed Flash or at least have the option to select it and it woud then open those files in the order that you left them.
With all my class files open at one time, I hate having to reload them into the order that makes sense to me every time I launch Flash.I was looking into the Projects panel which seems like it's in the direction of what I would like but I can't seem to find anwhere that saves open files.

I would like to be able to open a specific browser and then go to a URL. What I mean is if the user has a Flash website open in IE I need for them to click on a button and this will open the link in Firefox. Is this possible?
Background...Our company uses Internet Explorer 6 as it's main browser on all employee PC's and for technical reasons IE cannot be updated. The problem is that the website App that I want to open has to be opened in a modern browser, the App will not run on an old browser such as this. Firefox is installed on all PC's, for this reason, but I cannot be sure the user has opened my website up in Firefox therefore I must check that they are using Firefox if not then it has to be opened first.

I would like to have an action script that permits me to click on a thumbnail and to load the genova.swf to a specific frame, that way if the user need to see immediately photo #3 without having to cycle through photo #1 and #2
he would click on the thumbnail photo #3 in the main website and the genova.swf will popup at image 3 from the slideshow.

Ok - i have a main movie template. It simply contains 'loaders' to load in other swf files. There are a total of 6 different movies being loaded one at a time. It's a magazine of sorts.
So page 1 will load swf 1, and so on.
How can I configure this that if we want a user to go directly to page 3 of the movie - we can give them a URL to do it.
Neiman Marcus does something very similar.

I am still learning Action Script but I have a problem with writing the full script for combing navigate to new URL and gotoAndPlay. More specifically what I want to do is use a button which when clicked will open a new page and then start playing my Flash movie at a certain frame on the Timeline. I have used buttons to navigate to a new URL and used the gotoAndPlay ( ) ; command to play a certain frame, both have been successful but when I combine the two I run into trouble. What happens is the new page loads correctly and goes to the specific frame but then opens the browser in a new window with the movie playing from the beginning. The correct sequence within the correct Webpage is playing but only if I close the current page, in other words what I am trying to achieve is running but in the background.

What I am trying to do is to disbale the page flip when the user clicks the corner of the page on a specific page, and rather have a button that when pressed will flip to the next page. I only want this on a few pages so do not want to disbale all the pages.

We use in HTML line (target"_new" or_XXX) I cannot find a way to open new page from a script .I had try target comment it do not work. Here is a button command

When the button is pressed, it tries to open in a new tab or in a new window (depending on if you are using Firefox or IE) and first gets blocked by the pop up blocker.

It there any way of displaying videos on a website that would allow me to show just a clip of a video without physically slicing the file into actual clips? Specifically, I'd like to play the clips using an open source flash player. I could make specific clips, but that is time consuming and a maintenance nightmare.youtube won't work because it is very important we be able to control who views these videos. Also, this web application is running off of a classic LAMP stack.
View 6 RepliesI'm aware of the .click() method but the click must be on a prezi loaded (flash) so don't really have a html element to use.
What I have instead are the exactly coordinates of the place I want to simulate click on. Is there any way I can do that?
The click must activate a flash element. (A play button)
Note: There is a similar question around that have an answer witch require swf control. I don't have that so that method is not applicable.
One other quick question... what happens if I simulate a click on an element that has display: none. It click on the elements "under" it? (as a normal click would do; and yes I know this sounds funny but I don't know how to explain it otherwise). If yes I was thinking of making a position absolute div, put it on top of flash and use .click(). The problem is that i have a feeling that the click won't be applied on flash.
This is somehow a combination of javascript simulate mouse click on specific position and mouse click somewhere else on page (not on a specific div).

The movie stops.However, whenever I add getURL(http:url]....); The looping continues and never goes to the site.I have tried seperate layers putting each command in a seperate keystone, and I have tried using both of them together.Also I am using CS4 and it gives me an error code for getURL---- The error code says sendtoURL

and I would like the link to open the new page in the same tab. In Safari it opens the link in a new window (when the default is to open links in the same tab). In IE it opens in a new tab, and also in Firefox (though in Firefox this is the default behaviour for me). Is there a way to override default settings and get the link to open in the same tab for all browsers?
I have read through several posts and threads on this subject and I'm still confused a bit. I have a flash menu that is working just fine. I want to put this menu into an existing web site that uses frames. I have a flash website that opens in fullscreen mode (this is a customer request). Now I need to create some dynamic pages (php+mysql) but I cannot do them in Fles+php (I have no time to learn it). I just created some getUrl links that open in _blank targets but this is causing some problems: - in some browsers (firefox and safari) the link opens BELOW the movie, so, you don't see it until you close the flash website. - in other browsers when you click the link, the fullscreen mode will revert by itself to normal screen and the link opens in a new tab (chrome and IE 8) Is there a way to open links in front of the fullscreen mode?
In the past I created a flash website [URL] that, once you set it to fullscreen mode, allows you to see images on pop-ups (lightbox) in front of the fullscreen. I would like to do the same with php page, and not only jpg/gif/png images.
