'URL missing from Media tag' on FMS4.5 HTTP Live Stream playback.I have spent a whole day trying in vain to publish f4m live http streams from FMLE using FMS 4.5, and almost everything I try results in the error .The F4M document contains errors URL missing from Media tag...in both Flash Media Playback and the fms videoPlayer app.Other people seem to have seen this and solved it, but I've found nothing that helps. I have tried to publish a single stream, and with multiple bitrates. For the latter, I followed the Adobe video tutorial as follows:

I am using Flash Media server 4.5 and i read the tutorial if i want to stream the live feed, i may need to use the media live encoder.
but what i found in media encoder is i have to manually setup everything and it only support camera devices. But in my case i have multiple video files keep received from another program and place it on file system (server),my goal is use the Flash Media server to perform a live boardcasting with these video file one by one. That means when client watching a live streaming, they will not notice the server is playing mov1, then mov2, then mov3, then mov4... and so on.
You can imagine i am trying to boardcast a live footage say for 60sec, but the video file will not recorded entirely after 60sec, instead for every 10sec i will save a new video file, so that when client watching the live by HLS [URL]when the time reach to 10sec, a mov1 video file available and FMS should boardcast this video on live123.when the time reach to 20sec, a mov2 video file available and FMS should Immediately follow the mov1 boardcast on live123.and so on...Also can FMS dynamically create a new streaming session (invoke by code), so that when client A uploading some video files to the server, the FMS open a new streaming session only stream cilent A video files?the configuration to boardcasting like screen size, bit rate, etc should be pre-defined on the server. I want to use customised encoder to publish live steams to a FMS4.5 server?Is it possible to connect encoder and FMS4.5 server on HTTP protocol?i read in other articles FMLE can connect to FMS on RTMP protocol.

As seen the tutorial [URL].. I have successfully implimented the steps. However the problem comes when the stream is disconnected and reconnected again due to network problems. Once the stream is reconnected the video stops coming, even though all 3 streams are succesfully publishing the stream to Flash Media Server but on the client side where I'm using OSMF media player the stream gets stops. Is there any setting that I need to impliment in the OSMF player to resolve this issue ?

I have Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 (not Interactive) running on RHEL5.5 x86_64 Linux.All is working well, however how do I prevent unauthorized access to connecting to the live stream and streaming content?How can I setup the server to require a user and password to stream live media to the server?I am new to this product and I have been reading some documentation but I have not found a clear cut answer on how to force a username and password to connect to the server to stream live content only.I am using the Adobe FMS Apache install, what files need changing?[code]I want to lock down a person from connecting to the server on the public internet and starting a live stream?Can this be done with a user name and password?

Beside Flash Media Encoder, can I use a live stream from Windows Media Services?We have live streaming with Windows Media Server, but now want also offer to mobile devices, but we dont re-encode the entire streams (tvs) again, it would be great if we can use a stream from windows to tunnel it to flash media server.

I'm new to Adobe Flash and I'm just trying out the Flashe Media Server 4.5 to stream live video on a local machine. I'm using a FLME 3.2 to capture the video from my digital camera, which works fine, and I can connect to the server with no worries as well. But I have issues streaming the content in the Sample Video Player that comes with the server.

I've also tried playing some sample videos on it. it even refuses to play those. What could be the problem??

Currently we have updated to FMS4.5 and doing some evaluation on HDS. We published our RTMP streams to the livepkgr application and successfully setup and playback HDS. However, we found that a we can't access some onMetaData Properties during playback. Our player use onMetaData - "videodatarate" and "audiodatarate" properties. We are trying to migrate it to playback HDS, however, we don't seems to be able to get back the two fields?

My Encoder is setup with three streams: Vid: 500 kbps - Audio: 48 kbpsVid: 800 kbps - Audio: 48 kbpsVid: 1500 kbps - Audio: 48 kbps I start the encoder and everything looks fine in the log. In my browser (Safari or Firefox) I go to my html site and the stream starts after 6-8 sec. But anytime with the lowest bitrate 548 kbps and nothing look like the stream is switching to another bitrate. I tried it with the smil playlist and the result is the same. Only the lowest bitrate is plublished.

I'm having a problem with recording a live webcam stream. The last few seconds of the stream is getting cut off.
The recording is stopped with the following piece of code:
vid.attachCamera(null);
vid.clear();
ns.attachCamera(null);
ns.attachAudio(null);
ns.pause();
What could be causing this? Is the stream cut off too soon? Is the client unable to send buffered data to the server?

I'm trying to stream a HDS live multi-bit stream, it seems to push to the FMS but my player doesn't display the stream.Are these settings and files correct? The documenation is confusing on what and which files need to be edited and/or created.
Encoder settings:
Bit Rate: 150,500,700
FMS URL: rtmp://myserver/livepkgr
Stream: liveevent%i?adbe-live-event?liveevent
FMS 4.5
I see the following directories being created when I start encoding and each directory has a single file with a .stream extension in them. Are these correct? fC:FMS-HOMEapplicationslivepkgrevents\_definst_liveevent1[code].....

i am wondering is it possible to get embeded timecode from HTTP Stream?Flash Media Live Encoder contains a special built-in handler, onFI, that subscribing clients can use in their ActionScript code to access timecode information. The following client-side ActionScript code shows how to get timecode information using the onFI handler. The object ns is the NetStream object. I am trying to config custom encryption key for different pieces of content at streaming level using jit.conf for On-demand Apple HTTP Live Streaming.I tried to set "HLSEncryptionScope content" in httpd.conf and placed jit.conf in ../webroot/vod but not success, the m3u8 generate not contains EXT-X-KEY.and, I tried and got nothing in access plugin log file while i http stream a m3u8 file, is it possible to log HTTP Live Streaming using plug-in?can plugin got any event triggered by http streaming?

I have a HD Camera streaming a live feed through FME 2.5 to FMS 3.0 using the VP6 codec and it works fine. I have now been trying to get the same stream running via H.264 and althogh FME 2.5 connects to the FMS 3.0 server and the stream starts with FMS 3.0 reporting the stream no problem. The Client application crerated with Captivate 3 using Flash Player 9 for publishing no longer dispays the video. Switching back to VP6 works again.

I'm running the Interactive Flash server 3 and I'm wondering is there a way to give people a user & password to limit who can live stream into the server.I can do this with the Real server and Windows media fairly easily but having problems figuring out how to on the flash server.Currently if you have the Servers IP and the flash encoder you can stream with no Username or password required. I would like to restrict this.

i have an urgent question for the following purpose. We plan to develope a solution consisting of a sender software for streaming live video to the streaming server. Now more than one client should be able to connect to the stream of the server. Because the different clients are connected with different bandwidth rates the server should be able to convert the video stream (e.g. the video width and height, framerate and quality) on the fly. Maybe a client with a better connection than DSL should get the video in a resolution
of 640x480, a DSL client should get the video in 352x288 and a client with ISDN in 176x144.
Is there a possibility to do this with the FMS server on the server with server-side ActionScript? Or can I limit the requested stream size on the client side? Or anything I can do?

My fmis server is 3.5.4 and I use flvPlayback to play the fms live stream.
I want to let the live stream stopping status after be load completed.but after I set the autoPlay=false, the fms live stream is not stopping status after be load completed.
However I try the fms vod stream as the autoPlay=false ,is can stop .
what's different the live stream and vod stream. why the vod stream can stop but live stram can't stop?

Is there anyone who has a HTML example (or can give an URL with a page) that has the Adobe Flash player displaying a live stream (and not a file)?There is one in the installation under "Flash Media Server Start Screen" but it was too complex for me to understand. I just need a simple example on how to display a live flash stream in Adobes own web player.

I just upgraded to FMS 4.5. I'm able to stream live event via HDS but I can't stream live events via HLS. I can use VOD via HLS but not live events. I tried access the HLS url directly on my iphone and even tried embeddeding the <video> tags in a HTML file and get the same results. What I did notice is that in my application folder on the server I only see the HDS files being created. I do not see the .ts files that I beleive are supposed to be created when streaming to HLS devices.

I'm recording a stream from a webcam as an f4v file using FMS 3.5. The file is created in the live folder, and i can stream it back to the client no problem, however when I try to play the file in Adobe Media Player (or anything else) it won't play. I've used the f4v post processor which claims to run successfully, but with no joy.
