I want to have an input text box with the instance name "answer1_input."If the user types in "one" I want it to go to frame 2.If the user types in anything else, I want it to go to frame 3.
This code corresponds to a quiz question where the correct answer is either blue or green. I get the #1009 error if I input "blue". The answer "green" seems to work ok. What's wrong with my code? Is there a better way to make is so more than one answer works? Something like "blue" or "green" or "otheranswer", etc..?

This is about fill in the blanks in flash 8 as2. In this i used input text fields and three buttons.In first frame i used multiple input text fields and a submit button. After filling all the blanks we click on submit button then in the second frame we will show the result like if the blank is correct it should change the color to green and if it is wrong it should change to red.and in the frame i have check button when we click on it will display all the answers. And when we click on analyse button we have to display the answer which the user types and the correct answers.And my problem is when we click on submit there is no difference in the blanks color all are in black only.

When the user types something on the input box then the dynamic box changes instantly and displays what the user has written.
auto scale-size the fonts to a smaller size if the user types many letters.
The input_1 box has a 13 character limit. My initial font size is 200, i want to scale down so when the user types 10 letters they fit the box and they don't go out of screen. I want to use one line, so wrap or multiline is not possible.

I have a problem with Input Text boxes within an exported swf. The font (Arial Narrow) has been embedded via Text > Font Embedding (Uppercase, Lowercase, Numerals, and Puncuation checked); but, upon export, certain characters do not register (specifically j, q. u, z, 8, and 9) or automatically take one case or the other (B, M, W, and X are always Uppercase; while k always appears as Lowercase).

I basically need to store a string of characters from an input text box and have them displayed at the last frame of the quiz. I declared the variable holding the input text as _global.player in the first frame, and upon clicking the start button the code is:

Yes, I know the global.correct coments are not yet complete, but i dont think that should be causing any issue with the playerdisplay.text (the dynamic text box to display the player name). If anyone could give me a hand that would be great. Nothing appears in the dynamic text box when the final frame of the movie loads.
I made a trivia game app that lets me enter text into input fields when the app is fullscreen on my trivia laptop. When I try running the swf on my home laptop, sometimes it lets me enter text, sometimes it doesn't. I can't remember what I did on my trivia laptop to allow text entry under full screen. Can someone please shed some light on under what conditions Flash allows it? I'm wondering if I set up the trivia laptop to run swfs using a debugging version of Flash or something, but I can't remember. As far as I can tell, it's just using the Flash player.

I noticed that the if statement is constantly failing because the variable is tracing back as HTML.The trace of the variable looks like this:

im trying to load an swf into another swf that has a variable in the text input field. Im a designer and not a programmer but I am using this tutorial to get started in loading a form with a variables in it.[URL]..
What im doing is trying to duplicate is the text box so that when i want to load new_box.swf (with a variable name "company") into main.swf into a movieclip with an instant name "loader." using this:

I can get the movie to load but it loses the variable "company" in the process and when i send the form it doesnt work. If i just keep it in the main timeline it works but not when i loadMovie.

the last of many problems, is that at the very end of the test, you're shown your score, and you have the option to type your name in a text box and click "save". Doing so will apply you score data (time elapsed, date, correct answers and percentage) along with the name you typed in, and output in a form, that you can save or print off, or whatever. The problem is, the input text box will not let you type in it. If you mouse over it, the mouse stays a pointer, you don't get the text tool. We're seeing very different results from the same files being packaged for iPhone verses iPad. Not having a lot of luck getting things to run smoothly on the iPad when they work great on the iPhone. The iPhone versions also run great on the iPad even though it has to scale down all the retina quality images. I feel like I'm missing some important difference between the two?

i created an input text box that puts the users input into a global variable, but when i test it it gives me not only what i have typed in but all the html formatting for the font that my input text box has on it.I only want the text that i have typed in to go into the variable but the wackload of html is going in there too. ive tried a few different things, rewriting my code, recreating the text box, changing settings, dont know what im missing.
