Professional :: Test Movie --> Close It --> Minimize Flash --> Wait A Second Or Two --> Crash?

Has any one experienced a crash when using "test movie" in Flash CS4 on Windows 7?For me, it started when I began working on an Actionscript 2.0 project. It happens every time I test a movie, then minimize the window.I have tried re-installing Flash, but the problem still remains. The weird thing is, it waits until I minimize the window. No other time.

My buttons only work when I click on them on the stage while having the "enable simple buttons" option on. They do not work if I try to "test movie," "test scene" and publish it to a SWF. Nothing responds whenever I am in these modes. I am using Adobe Flash Professional CS5 Actionscript 2.0.

I� am creating a 4 frame application demo which stops on the first frame and lets the user navigate to other frames using buttons. I've done something very similar before and didn't have this problem.� Now with this new project I've created the pages in photoshop and imported them onto the stage. The dimensions are� 1024/768 px.�� When I go to Control -> Test Movie -> In Flash professional.� The window pops up very small , but the page looks nomal size so i get the top left portion of the design. Then when i expand the window, instead of seeing the rest of the design the desing floats to the bottom right as I pull the window open leaving all this white space around the top and left margins.�

I created a graphic on one layer in my timeline in FLASH CS4 and then added a new layer above it with text to create a zoom out effect. When I click Control>Play the movie plays fine with the text zooming out as it is supposed to but when I click Control>Test Movie the movie shows white with the text constantly visible and the graphic flickering on (visible) and off (not visible) so fast that it's barely visible.

Suddenly tonight once I have finally worked through so many bugs in transfering things into the thing, I can't get the "Test Movie" option to work to view anything. I even tried to view just the scene. It keeps making these flashes and then basically stays where it's at

Intermittently when I go to test a movie, Flash CS5 will crash. I usually get two this-program-is-messed-up boxes about the crash from windows before the program shuts down completely. If I try to open my .fla after this point, Flash tells me that it is an unexpected file format and refuses to load it. These are often projects I have been working on for several hours, and since it corrupts the .fla - all my work is wasted.

how I export the thing (as an image, or a movie, and in any format) I can't see the text. This is especially frustrating because text forms the entire basis of my animation.Tried converting text to movie clips, no difference. The weird part is, I was able to test the thing early on with no problem-- text displayed and everything. I should add: I have used MULTIPLE fonts... and I think this was about when things started not working.I'm working on a deadline and if you know how to fix this, it would make a big difference to my life.

The only thing I get is a swf file.I don't really know why Flash CS 5.5 refuses to generate my project's apk file since I've never encountered a problem like this before. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? My player is set to AIR for Android,I have my certificate,I don't get any errors, and debugging on my device via USB works flawlessly.

i have a movie that has worked fine in past during Html test but ive been doing some dubugging using the flash test latly and it runs fine here but when i go back and try to test in Html mode no errors come just the movie never fully starts (starts up about as much as if there was an error).

I have created a SWF file that plays/stops sound. The SWF file works great when previewed in Flash CS4, but does not work when inserted in the HTML file.Here are the 2 files that are automatically generated when I INSERT>MEDIA>SWF in Dreamweaver CS4:

I'm working with Flash CS4. When I test a scene, all work just fine, but when I try to test movie, or export the swf file the process stops suddenly and nothing happens.
In my fla file I have 7 scenes and the file size is about 193mb.

When I go to test my movie in Flash Pro (control>test movie) nothing happens except a window thats just white.why this may be happening? I just battled some sot of memory problem which is mysteriously resolved ( i didn't do anything). Another funny thing being when flash pro is set to flash player 9 action script 2.0 all is fine...anything else it makes my whole project dissapear from the stage? Getting pretty sick of these funky things happening randomly.

Today one of our artists started experiencing a crash in Flash CS4 Professional when scrolling the workspace around in one of his .fla files. All he has to do is hold down the spacebar and scroll around with the mouse; or use the scrollbars to scroll around. It has crashed about 10 times in the last hour, and we copied the file over to another machine and saw the crash there as well. We've only seen it occur with one particular file.
The machines are both Intel Core i7 machines with 8GB of RAM and two different video cards, one running Windows 7 and the other running Vista; and the crashes cause the Adobe "let me report this crash to the mothership" dialog box, so I don't think it's video card driver related; I think it's just a bug in Flash Professional.�We're running version 10.0.2 with no updates available to Flash Professional when choosing "Updates..." from menu.

opening included templates in Flash CS5 and then telling the program to test the movie within the environment shows Flash trying to export an SWF file and then crashes. the program will alllow the movie to be played inside the environment, however.

I recently installed the CS5 Master Collection on my MacPro for work. I need to use Flash CS5 in order to work on some projects in the office, however I'm encountering several issues that make it near impossible for me to use the software. First of all, when I start the program and select "New..." and select any type of new file, I'm greeted by nearly every button being greyed out, to where I cannot select them. I've found out that I can make these buttons usable by changing my workspace in Flash.
The issue that's causing me trouble is that whenever I select any sort of "Drawing" tool, Flash CS5 crashes immediately. Whenever I click on the line, pen, circle, rectangle, pencil, or brush tools, CS5 freezes briefly (about 2-3 seconds) and then immediately closes. I can still use tools such as the Pan tool, zoom, text, and selection tool. Also, whenever I select the Spray Can tool, I get the following error:
Unable to load the script. The file <filepath>/ProScripts/sprayBrush.jsx does not exist.
I have already tried updating my system, updating every Adobe product on this machine, reinstalling, and even using a seperate installation CD, but everything thus far has yielded the same results.
Info on my system:
MacPro running OS X V. 10.6
2 x 2.26 GHx quad-core proocessors
12 GB DDR3

I had updated to Flash CS5 recently and as a result Flash Player 10.1 was installed as well. The problem is, Flash Player 10.1 has a small bug that's a nuisance to me. I can change what version of Flash Player is used in my browsers, but I can't seem to figure out how to:
1) Change the version of Flash Player that Flash CS5 uses when I click "Test Movie"
2) Change the standalone version of Flash Player when I run .SWF's locally (outside of Flash and outside of a browser)
I'd like to update the Flash Player to the LATEST release candidate of Flash Player 10.1, but if that's for whatever reason impossible, Flash Player 10.0 is okay too. I realized I used the phrase "Flash Player" more than "Flash CS5" in this post, but at it's core I felt it was more of a Flash CS5 question than a Flash Player one.

I am using CS5 Flash and have developed a very large system with several thousand lines of code, a main timeline, and some dozen classes. Sometimes when I test it, I get get the error message below.Error creating SWF fileBe sure the destination file is not read-only or opened by another applcation. Also check that the file name is not too long.It appears to happen at random. Many times it doesn't appear at all and the FLA simply complies. Other times it may appear several times before the FLA complies. If there are errors in the FLA file, normal error messages are displayed. If there are no errors in the FLA, I get this random error message.

I created a button symbol on the bottom layer, then added action script code in the first frame on the top layer. Clicked 'test movie' so that I could click the button to generate the code:

I had been using Flash CS5 as a trial for the past 6 days without issues. Yesterday, I made a change to a file, and went to preview it, as I had several times before. This time, when I slected preview movie, Flash crashed umexpectedly. When I launched it again, it came up looking very corrupted - window as messed up, and any an all attempts to load any of the workspaces resulted in Flash crashes. I had to completely uninstall it including all prefs to get it to work again. I am hesitant to try a preview movie again.

I have a really really annoying problem with Flash CS5 (11.0.2.489) on winXP.Everytime I place a bitmap (jpg, png..) on stage, Flash crashes.It occurs with existing fla, as well as with new documents, but only as3!(with as2 new documents, it seems ok!)I tried deleting preferences (reg key and AppData folder), nothing changes. Rebooting does nothing.

I was working on a large website in Flash CS 5.5 on my hard drive Mac Pro V10.6.8, 6GB of memory. 176.78 GB of space left on the drive. I had set up the project in the Flash projects panel. I was opening files with"File open" and working on them. I have my fla files in a src folder and my classes in a com folder. This was the setup of my com folder. I was working in Flash and it crashed, when it started up again. It didn't offer me a temp file and all the files in the com folder have been deleted except for the greensock folder. But even the greensock folder was missing files. I went to the recent files when I click a file name I got this error.
I have searched my hard drive by name for the files and can't find them. They are not in the Trash. I have talked to three different Adobe tech support people in India they all tell me the files can't be recovered and they don't know why it has happened and don't even seem to care that their program has deleted hours of work. I am waiting on yet another tech support person to call me back. Does anyone know why this has happened? I have been working in Flash for 11 years and never had it delete 186 files when it has crashed.
