Professional :: Clear Photos In Full-screen Flash Sites?
Jun 22, 2010
i've been working with flash for a long time, but there's still something that i don't quite think i'm understanding fully. i see many of these sophisticated photography sites programmed so that the photo fills the whole screen (such asand the photo is crisp and clear on any sized monitor.i know how to set the site to be programmed to fill 100% of the screen, and i know how to "trace bitmap" inside of flash so that the photos work a little better. they then act more like vector images than bitmaps which tend to pixelate when proportions are enlarged. but when i use the "trace bitmap" feature, the flash file often becomes very large size in terms of KB, even when some detailed smaller images are traced.
I give users the ability to put album in my Flex application. I want to add a feature when they can click a button to view photos full screen slide show.
I am creating a full screen projector with flash CS4. In the projector I have more videos, starting from an swf player-
The problem I encounter is this:
The projector starts correctly FULLSCREEN (using AS). The video plays 900x506 correctly. If I click on the player, to get the video full screen, it works. But when I press ESC, not only the video, but also the PROJECTOR looses full screen.
This is a bit annoying. Is there a way to apply the "back to normal size" only to the video? I do not want to prevent the app to be exited from full screen, it's not a problem if the user wants to exit the projector full screen. But not when the user exits the video from fullscreen mode.
i would like to hear some feedback on how to seo flash sites using deep linking. I am using swfAddress and swfObject but the urls generated by swfAdress with # anchors are not really seo friendly, google just ignores enything behind the "#" and this could be end in cloaking.
am trying to figure out how to fix a problem. I have my computer hooked upto the television to watch shows and movies. However playing flash related content always freezes when in full screen mode. This includes if something is playing or if the movie has ended and the player is staying in full screen mode.I have tried on IE8, Firefox and Safari. It happens at random times and on all flash video players
I have recently upgraded to Flash Player 10.2 (correct version for Windows 7) which will operate satisfactorily on BBC/ITV players in small (part) screen mode. Whenever I click for full screen, the screen goes completely black (blank), though the sound remains. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player 10.2, twice, but to no avail. Has anyone come across this problem and/or can anyone tell me a solution? All other functions on my laptop (Dell XPS) seem to be fine.
I'm running Vista, 32 bit, and the latest version of Firefox. Any time I enlarge a video I'm watching on a website that uses the Flash Player, (youtube and others) to full screen, the computer eventually locks up. The video continues normally, but hitting escape does nothing to reduce the video back to the smaller size. I then hit CTRL ALT DEL and still nothing changes. The mouse can't move the cursor, hitting tab doesn't work, nothing.
I've tried uninstalling the Flash Player using the offline uninstaller, and reinstalling the latest Flash Player using the offline installer. I've gone to the Flash "about" page after each of those 2 actions to make sure that Flash is completely uninstalled, and reinstalled. I've also run CCleaner after uninstalling Flash Player just to make sure no registry entries, etc. remained.
I tested my skin for YouTube Chromeless player, and seems it worked properly.All graphic elements, including TLFTextFields, are stored in external SWF, all the AS3 code - in loading SWF.I use ProLoader class to load SWF.However, when I tried to attach Player skin code to my Home Page code, I immediately bumped into two issues:
1. TLFTextFields ceased to display proper font;
2. YouTube Chromeless player ceased to enlarge up to Full Screen width in Full Screen mode, whereas all publishing settings were kept the same...
Although I managed to cope with TLFTextField bug by replacing instances with vars in loaded SWF, I have no the slightest idea what to do with those paddings in Full Screen mode... Neither removing all children on stage before loading YouTube Player skin, nor compulsory resetting player's size can't make it work...
i am wondering from this code, it makes the stage full screen, does it also makes the content of my movieclips scaled to full screen? i have tried this code and it does not seem to do that, how can i make my content to scale to fill a stage's full screen? i have a Movieclip containing a background with a class to make special effects on the background, i am having trouble making the background be "fullscreened" nicely with the stage.
// for Full Screen stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;// for the normal screen stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.NORMAL;But this code does not fulfill my requirement. I need Vertical Scroll Bar, even I go to the FullScreen, but I don't find any Scroll with this code.Even I tried "window.open" of JavaScript with ExternalInterface, but I couldnot succeed.
Ive imported an FLV into a Project. Some computers wont play the video back if the Flash Player is set to Full Screen. The screen goes black during Full Screen. If you set the player to regular, you can see the video playing (embedded into design) but once you set player to Full Screen the video plays on its own right at centre of screen. Im working on a Touch Screen Display that has the display set to Portrait mode. Im investigating if the display card is causing the problem.
i am creating an interactive application that will run independantly on a computer.I have implimented the full screen stage display state to a btn, and it works great!
-------code----- import flash.display.StageDisplayState; function goFullScreen():void {
[code].....
however as soon as i add a video [i will be adding several] the video takes on the full screen property, and that is not the desired effect.I have used several diff ways to import the video but as soon as i call the full screen, it goes to an all black screen.
I'm just finishing off a project that has to run in full-screen mode, but I'm having trouble adding this feature. couple of quick details.I'm using Flash CS3, ActionScript 2.0, targetting Flash Player 9 (this could change, but I have to stick with AS2 and CS3)The movie will be the only thing running on a touchscreen installation, Windows PC.I tried using this:
fscommand2("FullScreen", true);
but it didn't work for me. I get this compiler error:Scene=Scene 1, layer=Navigation, frame=1, Line 1
The currently targeted Flash Player does not support the FSCommand2 action.I've tried changing the target player version, but all seem to generate the same error.
I'm working on a site right now where the flash player fills the browser window up to 1600x1200 res. The developers I hired are having problems with AS2 when it comes to scaling things and positioning them as the browser window changes size. While it works, the biggest problem is the aspect ratio, keeping the layout looking nice, and the footer keeps dropping off the screen at certain sizes.
Screen res closer to 16:9 looks better laid out than 4:3 and they keep telling me that it has to be proportional when it comes to positioning and scaling, although positions aren't really changing from whatever code they've used. To me, there must be some way so that if looks nice on 16:9, when it goes to 4:3 it will look good too, or even some in between size, they should be able to use code to figure out where things belong, even if it's not perfect. Instead, there are big gaps of dead space on 4:3 and it just looks like crap.
This is also true of background images which fill up about 1/3 of the page on the left or right. As we go down in size they say only a proportionate scale can be used, but sometimes the images are staying too large based on the size of the browser window and should be scaled more. Some of this may be attributed to much of the content being loaded dynamically as the client has us building a CMS, but to me, it's still coordinates and scale when it comes down to it and I don't know why raw percentages must be used instead of some more complex math.
If someone knows how this can be achieved, or can at least point me to web site that has this working properly, I can make sure they investigate further and figure this out before the deadline. I'm adding attachments to illustrate what I'm talking about. I'm using colored blocks to define where dynamic text boxes, icons, footer, images and navigation are. Arrows show where i'd like things to move dynamically.
What's the best practice to scale images in full browser sites? I am new to Flash and have a pretty good understanding of how most things work in Flash. My newest goal is getting Flash to scale 100% on all browsers. But when I do, my pictures become pixelated and I'm sure videos would do this as well. So my question is - what's the best practice or actionscript to keep this from happening? Sites like [URL] that have utilized their abilities to scale their images on any browser are great examples. How can I achieve this?
I have an AIR application that will go full screen when the application starts: stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE; The stage size is 2560 x 1024. And I have 2 moniters (1280 x 1024 , 1280 x 1024) When I start the application, it shows my application on one of my moniter only.
I need the left side of the stage to be shown in moniter 1 and right side of the stage to be shown in moniter 2. Currently, both sides are shown in moniter 1, and in moniter 2, it shows nothing but my default desktop. *The blue color line is a divider for better visual purpose. How do I make the left side of the stage to appear in moniter 1 and right side of the stage to appear in moniter 2 when the application starts in full screen mode?
Is a command for AS2 to make my movie file play fullscreen (stretch, fit to screen, anything).
goFullScreen(); is great but it leaves white bars left and right. What's odd is that I'm using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder and it seems to display a perfect widescreen that I want as an input and output but once compiled in flash, it's more square leaving me with white bars left and right. The frame for the video in flash is also widescreen looking.
edit: I ended up stretching the width of the frame but if there is a better way through a command that would make my life easier so I don't have to adjust to every monitor that I run this on.
My question is what needs to be done in order to make a .swf file go into full screen without falling to a black screen when a movie is played? I have tried coding it, however I come up with the following error.
[Code]....
What should I do to fix this? This is not going to be an HTML file, however, so the initial thought of changing the publish settings does not seem to work this time.
I have a Mac (intel) CS3 flash fla that I am exporting asprojector. The exported Mac projector and windows exe file will notopen full screen w/o the flashplayer's top toolbar. I have testedthe projector file on Mac 10.4 and Windows XP and all show theflashplayer's top tool bar. The only way to go full screen is tomanually select view/full screen in the player toolbar. I havetried the fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); toggle (true/false/true)workaround w/o any success. Any other workarounds I can try
I'm trying to create a Macintosh full screen projector. Easy, I know.WHY the hell doesn't it go full screen... I keep getting the title bar at the top of the projector. Windows projector works perfectly.Some software called Zinc will provide me with the solution to this problem but it's expensive and the free version adds a watermark to the file, which is not good.
I'm using the standard... fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); I found a thread which suggests a workaround of adding Frame 1 - fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
Attempting to get a flash virtual tour to go fullscreen when embedded in an html page. Have no knowledge of html coding ... Have an embedded button on the tour and a p2q_embed_object.js file (both generated out of Pano2VR). Created an html page in Dreamweaver CS3, the code of which is pasted below ...
I am putting together a presentation for some in flash and will be exporting as an .exe file so they can play it fullscreen on there laptop. Its all working fine apart from one slide where I have included a video (FLV) which is loaded externally. Where I have the .exe in full screen mode the video automatically jumps to full screen mode and I cant see any of the the other images/text surrounding it. How do I go about not letting the video scaling to fullscreen and the rest staying as is?
I want to upload flv files to my website. I have got it worling fine - insert media - flv - progressive download - etc. When I view the file in the testing server it does not have the option to "view in full screen" which I need as I want to keep the preview windows small and have several videos on the one page. Is there code I need to enter in addition to that generated by Dreamweaver? I'm not familiar with Flash Pro or Media Encoder but I do have access to them if t makes the whole process easier.
I'm creating a flash site. I want the flash movie to fill the entire browser window. What size should I make the canvas, I've been experimenting with sizes and a canvas size of 750*370 fills my browser well on a resolution of 800*600
How do you accomodate different resolution settings? What's the most commonly used canvas size for this type of project.
I'm translating a program from AS2 to AS3. I've got a simple animation drawing lines between balls which are moving on the screen, but I can't figure out how to use the clear() to remove the old ones. This is what I'm getting:
I´m working on a project for a presentation, but there is a weird bug...When I test the project in Flash, it works properly, but when I open the .exe or .swf file in my pc, it apparently does not work.The proyect is set to be in full screen, but while testing the .exe, if I press (ESC) to leave full screen mode, then it works perfect!
I need my proyect to be full screen, so removing that feature is not an option.The bug makes my proyect to stop in a frame, but if I press ESC, I can see that the project never stoped, and it's in the frame that it should be.I uploaded my proyect so you can download it if you want and help me. It weighs 3Mb, and contains a video.[URL]
I made a trivia game app that lets me enter text into input fields when the app is fullscreen on my trivia laptop. When I try running the swf on my home laptop, sometimes it lets me enter text, sometimes it doesn't. I can't remember what I did on my trivia laptop to allow text entry under full screen. Can someone please shed some light on under what conditions Flash allows it? I'm wondering if I set up the trivia laptop to run swfs using a debugging version of Flash or something, but I can't remember. As far as I can tell, it's just using the Flash player.
