Professional :: Fade Transparent Images To Background Image?
Sep 14, 2011
This is probably an easy task for most of you, but how do i get a transparent image to fade to a background image in Flash? I have several transparent product images (.png or .gif) and a patterend background. I import my .png or .gif image and convert it to a symbol. I drag the symbol on my layer but as soon as i add a keyframe, the product image background turns white and loses it's transparency!
I have a background I want to fade out. It has multiple colours so as far as I can tell I can't just use Alpha to fade it out (because it changes the whole background to the same colour). Is there anyway I can fade it out to about half-transparent?
I imported a video into flash and have a transparent photoshop layer to create an iPod skin. The video works fine, but I cannot get the "stage" to be transparent so that you do not see the flash background color behind the iPod skin.
I've read in the forums and have followed the instructions here from Adobe. If you look at my code, I have
I want to embed some video into my HTML page. As background I want to use big picture. And above it I want to insert loop video with (i.e.) walking man.So, can I embed video (without flash and any player controls) in page? Can I decode video with transparent background? Is there any codecs which support transparent background (alpha-channel)?
I have 5 buttons that need to, when clicked fade the image in the background out and fade a new picture in. each of these buttons has a specific image related to it. how can i achive this smooth transition in and out for all of the buttons?
I want to make background of image transparent. Image is called from dynamically from the visitors computer.and I want to remove background color of image. provide me solution for make pixel transparent of image uploaded by visitor? anybody have solution of these criteria? For an Example: I am attaching image here and I want to remove gray color so I can see through transparent area of Picture.

Currently I have link on an HTML page, and when the link is clicked, it opens a flash movie with slideshow and a semi transparent black background. The way I have it set up is as follows
CloseButton.as (the close button for the slideshow) FullBackground.as (the black background) MainContent.as (loads the slideshow)
then I have
main.fla (loads the CloseBtn, FullBG, and MainContent) preloader.fla (loads the main.fla .swf)
I have 2 images that need to fade in and fade out so after 5 seconds image1 slowly begins to fade out while image2 slowly begins to fade in. My first image does not fade in because on the start of the flash movie I want to directly see the first image. But when image2 is done (so the whole movie is almost done) and it's start fading out.... I get to see the background (just a black empty background) while I actually want to begin fading in image1 (so looping the 2 image constantly).
So how can I immediately see an image on the start of the movie and still getting a fading in effect of the first image when the movie is almost on its end (so during the fading out of the last image)?
I've read a Flash tutorial which states in order for your published swf. to have no background you have to:
File - Publish Settings - HTML tab - Windows Mode: Transparent Windowless - Publish
I have then exported the file as a swf. and mounted it in a HTML container expecting the Flash movie to have no background. This did not happen, there was a plain white background in the container instead.
I have a web site project created in Dreamweaver. On the home page I need a swf file that is transparent and will animate over the dreamweaver backgound.
I know how to do this with html, but im trying to use fash catalyst program which doesn't let me edit the html. i found this video saying to go to file, html, change the window to transparent, then click publish & okay & your good to go! But, after I click publish i get a pop-up saying applications & installer settings & it asks for a code signing certificate?
I'm wanting to create a moving object that will be exported into a tv commercial. Object has already been created in Adobe Illustrator, and now will be dropped into flash for adding movement. The destination commercial will be created in Sony Vegas, with the settings of (Australian) PAL television (25 fps, 576x720 pixels, lower field first). Thus keeping it simple, I want to set Adobe flash with the same output format, meaning that the canvas will have to be 576x720 pixels at 25 fps. So far this seems to have worked okay. Now I'm wanting to get rid of the canvas colour, just like I have here in this photoshop screen shot.
Judging by the colour palette in Flash Professional, it looks like it can't be done. I've checked "transparent palette" through yahoo and google, and had no results. The adobe documentation only details how to remove a background in Photoshop.
I am trying to reposition a flash element.Go to [url].....I would like the badge and the cup in the center to be centered in the blue flash background.I would like the blue flash background to be transparent, so the web page can showup around the badge. How can I do this? I have attached the .fla and .swf.
EDIT-I was able to reposiiton the element, not sure why what I did earleir did not work. Still need to know how to have a transparent background on the flash.
I've created a flash to go in an html page with a colored background. When I put images with the appropriately desinated colors in flash, it changes the color ever so slightly when it runs in the page. It's JUST enough for it to be noticable. Is it possible to designate a transparent background?
yesterday i made a Flash with CS5, and i wanted to export the Movie as Animated Gif with a transparent Background but this does not work, no matter if i selest transparency due the Export as Movie or if i set it in Publish Settings, the Background will be always opaque as in the Flash App itself, so White or whatever Background is set to the App...I am on s Mac, the only way it worked was to export the Movie as PNG Sequence but i don't know how to easily combine them together as an animated gif?
I want to make my animation have a transparent background instead of a blank background so that it can blend with my presentation. Is it possible to create the movie like this?
Don't ever tell me that its the window mode set to transparent in the html setting in publish settings and don't tell me I need to change the html code of the published product in dreamweaver because I don't have dreamweaver. How is one to make an swf file file that has no background in it without Dreamweaver and without a publish setting that doesn't work? After that can be answered, how then are you to make an avi. file thats transparent? How do you edit your discussion so I don't have to post the same topic twice with new information?
On the stage I have a movieclip with an animation inside it, at the moment I've given to its background the same color of the stage to simulate a transparence. Now I've added some decorations to the bottom left corner of the stage and this movieclip lays a bit over the decoration showing that in truth the movieclip is not transparent because it covers part of the decoration. Is there a way to make the movieclip background really transparent?I've checked where I apply colors to elements, but there is not a "transparent" option, or at least I havent seen it.
i've been mucking about with flash for a couple of years but only doing some animations and stuff however now i am trying to build my 1st website and i need a mp3 player with playlist and with a transparent background.i've been search the net for a freebie (although i would be willing to buy if i found the right one)or i am happy to try and build my own in flash but could use a good tutorial.
Is there a way to set the background color for the stage to transparent instead of a color? I only see color as options when clicking in property manager for the background.
I have a script that fades in a random image from an array, and then loads the same image in another MC in the layer below so the transition from one image to the next does not show a white background.
The problem is that while it works perfectly as a standalone .SWF and also in Firefox, I'm getting a white flash between images in IE, and it's erratic in Opera also. Anyone know a reason for this?
This is the main code, and I've also attached the .FLA. You will need 5 image files in a subdirectory called "images" to run it. I'm sure the code could be simpler, but right now I'm just concerned about why it won't run the same across different browsers.
What would be the best way to get my random background to fade in? It is loaded using an XML file, and the images are large so when the site loads it takes a sec then... BAM - - image, lol.Heres my code:
I have some stock footage of smoke on a black background (.mov format) that I would like to convert to a flash file with a transparent background, which I will be overlaying over a PNG image on a webpage.
I have managed to remove the black background in After Effects using a plugin called UnMult, but when I try to render as a FLV file in AE, even though I check the option to preserve the alpha channel and encode using the On2 VP6 codec, I still get a black background.
So I am wondering what else to try, whether it be with AE or Flash CS4. Is there a way of achieving this effect by directly importing the MOV file into Flash CS4 and removing the black background there, or do I have to use AE, and if so, how to achieve the effect I am looking for?
I cut up parts of a web page background to do some menu animating in Fireworks on the left side, and the right side to have a slideshow on top of a transparent PNG background. Then I bring both together in a Dreamweaver file, within a DIV so it looks seamless. This has worked fine before, and it exports okay, but I noticed that putting the two "parts" back together side by side that the SWF background is somewhat faded compoared to the Fireworks HTML. I've tried changing the Publish Settings and I've tried changing the PNG file property in the library to both "enable smoothing" and "Lossless Compression", but nothing seems to fix it. My next option is to make the PNG the background image of the page when I bring it all in to Dreamweaver, but I'd like to know if this can be fixed for future reference.
I'm about to put my fist through the screen when trying to smoothly fade images together or lower an image opacity. The alpha is all the same throughout the tween. If I slide the alpha down on one keyframe, the entire tween's opacoty lowers instead of changing over the tween timeframe. I've resorted to using mask wipes.
Is there anyway to fade an image into another one or lower the opacity on a jpg? I'm stuck and can't figure it out. When I drop my image into the stage, it's a bitmap. There is no option to change it to a movie clip.I think when I create a tween, it allowed me to make a movie clip, I switched the graphic to a movie clip, but the alpha still didn't work.
