I have a tile list that loads images from a folder within the app.
When i load images with a transparent background it gives the image a white background is there any way to get the image to be transparent? [coded]...
I have an Image object that gets resized to the containers size when the image loads.The images that it will load are dynamic in size so after resize I end up with a sliver of the image object's white background showing.How can I make the Image object not have a white background and be transparent.Parts of the PNG's have transparent parts but show up as white due to the white background of the object is it loaded into.

I am using a horizontal tilelist in flex to display an image gallery with only one item in horiz. tilelist being shown at a time. I have next and previous buttons on both sides. The problem is I want to display a particular item/image in that list when user clicks on a thumb image from another thumbimages tilelist at bottom. I used someTilelist.selectedIndex property but it just selects that particular index in list, it does not show that particular item/image. I want the list to show that particular image, not just select it. Please take note that the horiz. tilelist shows only one image at time.

I have several transparent product images (.png or .gif) and a patterend background. I import my .png or .gif image and convert it to a symbol. I drag the symbol on my layer but as soon as i add a keyframe, the product image background turns white and loses it's transparency!

Currently I have link on an HTML page, and when the link is clicked, it opens a flash movie with slideshow and a semi transparent black background. The way I have it set up is as follows
CloseButton.as (the close button for the slideshow)
FullBackground.as (the black background)
MainContent.as (loads the slideshow)
then I have
main.fla (loads the CloseBtn, FullBG, and MainContent)
preloader.fla (loads the main.fla .swf)
Can a Flex Air Android app have transparent background, like the Android Theme.Transluscent? I've tried adding:

I imported a video into flash and have a transparent photoshop layer to create an iPod skin. The video works fine, but I cannot get the "stage" to be transparent so that you do not see the flash background color behind the iPod skin.

I have a button in my flex app that creates a popup overtop of everything. However, it seems like flex automatically puts this transparent overlay overtop of the stage when this happens. How do I disable this? I have tried contentBackgroundAlpha="0" and backgroundAlpha="0" with no luck. anyone know what the proper syntax is for disabling this transparency? View 1 RepliesI almost got it, but the part that's giving me trouble is making the header background transparent. I am making a custom MXML skin based on the default Spark DataGrid skin. I tried setting the contentBackgroundAlpha to 0 on the columnHeaderGroup and the headerRenderer, but that didn't work. I tried setting visible to false for either of those, but that made it so that the text didn't show up either, so that didn't work. There is no setting for backgroundAlpha in either of those two, so I'm not sure what else to try.
