I dont have flash experience but would like to create a navigation bar like the one on this website http:[url]... I like the way the menu pops onto the screen but dont know what that effect is called so am having trouble finding a tutorial.

View 1 RepliesI'm working on this flash site This is my first time using the loadVars command, so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong with it.I have a movie clip that acts as a window, it has an animation of popping up, once it does it has a text box in it thats set up to display html. It then loads the html from a txt file, which works fine. The problem is, when the user clicks on another page, the window pops out, starts over from the beginning and pops in, this time loading a different txt file for the html. This also works, however, if you select the text or click on it at all and then switch the page, anywhere you click next will make all the text in the box vanish. You can click and hold onto the scroll bar and scroll down, but the second you let go it vanishes.

I am making a Flash website and I need to know how to make my Menu on left and Logo on right stay on left and right as the screen size is changed. A similar example I am trying to accomplish is this well know site. [URL]. Notice how the menu and logo stay on the right and left...I have been searching for days on how to do this. I have everything built on my stage but cannot achieve this and thought someone may be familiar with this technique.

i am a beginner in action script / flex framework and i am facing a problem: i would like to have like a menu bar always anchor the bottom of the screen in normal and full screen mode... i try to set my component with bottom = "1" (so it should alway be at 1 pixel from the bottom of the stage ... The problem that I'm facing is in regards to the width of a sliding menu that I've created. The menu slides based on mouse x position and width of the movie. I would like the menu to fit to the entire screen regardless of the users resolution. I wanted to know if there's a way to detect a users screen width and then adjust the variable for screen width within my actionscript .fla if necessary.

When I view the animation in full screen the small fish seem to be wiped off the screen at a certain point. The tween box continues to follow it's path but the symbol disappears. This only seems to happen with larger objects.

I made a custom button-class (called CustomBlitButton) where a button is defined. The roll over-states of the button are defined inside of the class CustomScreen. That's because a custom screen holds one or more buttons. I can create a button when using the createButton-function of the CustomScreen-class.

I'm working on a flash website which is published as a 100% x100% with no scale but I want to add a menu wich has to been shown always at the left of the screen. At home I've got a resolution of 1024x768 but on my work 1920 x 1200. In both cases I like to see the menu in left. Because i like to design some sort of paper strips wich are only visible for like a bit. On a mouseover it will be totally visible. Do I need to add some actionscript with a screensize detection and then some code with _y _x and stuff to place it or do I need to change the settings for the html publish? When a button is selected it moves to the middle of the screen and all the other buttons slide over one, filling the empty space. If a second button is clicked the current one in the middle of the screen moves to the end of the line (position 7).

Its so that a menu will move right across the screen if the variable is true, and if its false, it'll move left back to its original position.... i achieved this using a motion tween and telling the mc to go to the frame and play, but that didn't work in the end because if the menu bar was on the left side, and it was told to move to the left, then it would disappear,and appear on the other side.... so in other words it screwed up
I have discover dis site makes flash menus the way i want.It wourth 50€ for it or there is a better way to do menu and sub menu in flash ?

when using a timer to fade volume, I get clicks and pops in the sound.The fade goes from 1 to 0 in 30 ms. Is there any way around this? Could it have something to do with the fla file's frame per second? This is set at 100.The fader timer is inside another timer (which varies from 150 to 1000 ms)
