Sep 24, 2010Some Time movie is not loading even refresh. It uses ExternalInterface to post/get some events. Where I need to verify. It is very urgent. Is any work around.

Sep 30, 2010I had an issue with my index.html testing on IE and the preloader just stalls on "loading 0%". he told me that locally the progress event doesn't have time to load and to try uploading it to your server and see if it works. It worked just fine. Rah Rah Kglad.
So today I'm fine tuning the swf/ fla to clean it up. Reduced some picture sizes and deleted unused files and reduced the swf from 4000 KB to 350 KB Rah Rah Gene. replaced the swf in Dreamweaver and re-uploaded with Filezilla. Rah ah Filezilla.
Everything working great and my preload went from 23 seconds to less than 3. So I'm real happy except for one small issue. Firefox and IE both do this. If I hit the refresh button, it stalls on "loading 0%" once again just like it did locally.
If I hit the refresh several times it WILL refresh randomly....2 times refresh......10 times refresh etc.

Spoke to my hosting company who said everything seems fine on the server. BTW he said Chrome did NOT have this issue Rah Rah Chrome.

Mar 18, 2011I want to load a image lets say example [URL] I can get the image to load no problem in flash. I also have a timeline so it will go to 10 frames and start over. My problem is it keeps loading the old image.png file untill I refresh my browser. Is there a way every time Uiloader is displayed in flash it dosnt like cache the image without refreshing the page.

I am publishing the movie from Flash CS4 and using all the code it spits out in the html page. It works fine in IE and FF but not Safari.

All are loaded using an preloader (another swf file), one for as2 games and one for as3 games... the thing is that for some time now when you load a game the flash player shows a black screen even when the game is loaded, and it stays like that until I rescale the browser window... there is some problem with the flash player refresh I think..

Aug 20, 2008This seems like a simple script I want to write, but for the past 2 days I can't seem to get it started...
Here's what I want to do:
I have a flash movie that I want to play once. If someone refreshes the page, I want it to check to see if it has already been viewed that day and if so, just go to the last frame of the movie instead of playing all over again.
Here's sort of a flowchart:
1. Start a flash cookie
2. Set a variable for a "check date" and "if viewed"
3. Check "if viewed" - no=play yes=checkdate
4. If checkdate = today=don't play goto last frame newday=replay movie and set played for that day.

Aug 31, 2009I have created a little virtual shop that reads the amount of money a player has and then enables different products to be bought. Eg - if someone has 200 points they can buy a ball for 20 or a bat for 200. This all works fine for one purchase. All of the items check the score and are enabled or disabled fine. However, say I purchase the ball - the points reduces by 20 to 180 - not a problem - but the bat is still enabled even though the variable has reduced so they can't afford it.Is there a way of refreshing the variable so that the items are constantly monitoring the variable amounts?[code]I put it in an mc so that if they buy the item it goes to a different frame where there is no mc to check the myscore var and therefore they've bought it!

Got that done.Then call and replace the first movie clip with another, got that done too.This is for a menu i am making, I am not too great in action script. I am working in AS2.Problem is after I call the second external movie clip into the main SWF, it all stops working.Is there a way I set this up that no matter what it keeps loading and unloading the external movie clips? This is what I have so far.[code]This starts with the "king_menu.swf" already loaded, i have it unload it and load "dqueen_menu.swf" to the call point named "load_king".I am guessing I need to have a universal call point for all my external movies to load and work in a random chain.

If I look at a site in IE that use lots of flash, my RDP session can even hang sometimes or more likely become completely unusable.
Professional :: Disabled Combo Boxes Don't Display Properly After Loading Movie
Mar 16, 2010I have a main movie that contains some combo boxes. Some of them may be disabled.By pressing a button I load another movie using loadMovie. The loaded movie also contains combo boxes.When the button is pressed, the clip that shows the combo boxes is removed from the stage and the loaded movie is displayed. By pressing another button, the loaded movie is unloaded and the clip with the combo boxes is displayed again.Well, once the other movie has been loaded, when I go back to the clip with combo boxes, the disabled combo boxes have a small gray button covering the black down arrow.I have determined that so long as the loaded movie contains combo box in the library, the problem occurrs, even if there is no actual instance of it.The combo boxes that are not disabled are not affected. The combo boxes are disabled by setting "cb_name.enabled=false".If the combo box is enabled, it displays correctly, but if disabled again, it goes wrong again.My project is targeting Flash 8, so it uses AS2.I'm using Flash CS4.

I have a flash piece which simply renders only on the first initial load. After that, if i refresh or visit the page, it does not load correctly. It seems I am having this problem with the swf only on subsequent loading of the page or whenever a refresh happens.

Jul 15, 2004I created a Flash movie (header.swf) that did some animation then at the end, loaded another into it using this command: loadMovie ("scrolling3. swf","_root.dropZone");It loads and plays just fine. Then I created another movie (video2.swf), that loads a movie in the same fashion: loadMovie ("tom2.swf","_root.mcTom");By itself, this movie (video2.swf) runs just fine.But now, when I wanted header.swf to load video2.swf it loads it, but the movie clip tom2.swf does not run. It just shows up as a white square in the corner. What am I doing wrong?I have tried many of the examples from threads that I have read hear and cannot get it to work.

Currently, I am well able to load one movie into a movie "loader" clip, but thought maybe there is a way to load additional movie clips into that same "loader" clip, as i am starting to accumulate several different graphics that i need to have be inside movie clips so that i can make them change colors on the same frame when needed.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Displaying Loading Progress Of A Movie Loaded Into A Movie?
Feb 25, 2003My _root movie is nothing more than a interface with navigation buttons. When someone clicks a button another swf is loaded into an empty movie clip on _root.
My Problem:I understand loaders and use them all the time, however, I still to this day have never gotten a loader to work with loading an external movie into a currently playing movie. (ie: in my _root movie you press the "Searching" button and searching.swf is loaded into _root.contents --> contents is the empty movie clip)So anyways... where does the loader go? The only results I've ever had is as SOON as the loadMovie method is called the movie hangs until the entire movie clip is loaded. Then the loader runs... thus making it totally useless.
