I want to create not complex interactive web application. It has some pinboard and user can create many simple objects on this pinboard (e.g. many small circles). [code]...
I think that I can use Flash/Flex or JavaScript/SVG/VML for this purpose. Disadvantage of Flash is that user must have plugin. Minus of JS/SVG/VML is that there aren't such powerfull developing tools as in Flash case, but if we use some library (url...) application won't require flash plug-in.
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a loading testing tool for interactive apps like a chat app. The reason I asked is because the company I worked experienced some issues where cores where crashing and we are trying to determined if the issue is load.
I've been playing with the Jpeg encoder now for a while and haven't come much further than just realising how to turn an image into a ByteArray of numbers. The code below is incredibly useful at turning a movieclip on the stage into a Jpeg and downloading it to the user. Unfortunately I need to amend the Bytearray first with a crop tool before creating the jpeg. e.g. delete the array value if the image is outside of the rectangle? And a rotate tool, e.g. all the values in the array switch places 90 degrees!? (the X and Y values switch over). Also it downloads to the user, but I need it to save onto the server so I can keep using it in flash, before then emailing the jpeg to a known email address.
(E.g. if a 10px x 10px bitmap, would have 100 values in the array, to crop it into a 5 x 5 image, I would delete array entries where X < 2 and X > 7 and Y < 2 and Y> 7. Or to rotate it, X for 1st pixel becomes the Y for the 1st pixel and vice versa)....
I'm looking to build a very simple (hopefully!) interactive game.
- A number of balls are situated at the bottom of the stage.
- There are several dropzones which the balls can be placed in.
-Once a dropzone is occupied with a ball, its not possible to populate that the dropzone with another ball until the present one has been removed. -Depending on which balls are present in the dropzones, the balls animate differently. the red ball is placed in a dropzone. There are currently no other dropzones populated with a ball.
I am trying to draw a simple bar chart for our interactive annual, and I thought i would try to learn how to use the api drawing tools, but I can't seem to get it to draw more than one line successfully.below is what I was using for one, but how do I tell it to draw more lines that are different colors? I attached a screen shot of what I want it to look like.
I am trying to build a simple tool tip information for anchors on an image.I have about 50 of these anchors and I can figure out how to code each of them but I figure there is a simple way of doing this, I just dont know how.If I code them like I have done now, I will end up having endless line of code.
I'm trying to create a simple interactive animation for a website that consists of three rollover areas on a page. When you mouse over an area, a bit of explanatory text is revealed by animating a mask over some text. The text is left displayed until a mouseover of a different area occurs.Let's call the three mouseover targets A, B, and C.A MOUSE_OVER event listener is registered for all three targets. In the event handler for each, I'm following a pattern like this:
Open a video file embedded in the application.open some pdf files, preferably embedded in the application, but if it will have to open externally, it's no problem.Work in fullscreen on the user computer, with a minimum resolution of 1024x768. I'm thinking about a resolution of 1024x768, centered on a black background.
I was thinking of using Flash, but I don't have much experience, so if there is another easier IDE that creates a Flash application, I would prefer that.
My question is can this site's [URL]..flash animation architecture/ interactive infographic be made or adapted into something more accessible like an app?
What would it take do to something like this. I need help wrapping my head around a project like this.
I would like to build a video conferencing app that supports H.264. Is there a way to use Flash to do that? I understand that Flash natively supports the Sorensen Spark video codec and that you need to use Flash Live Encoder 3 for H.264 encoding. I can't seem to find any documentation that shows me how to use FLE3 with ActionScript.
I'm wondering, is it possible to access shape data with actionscript. I want to draw simple lines with "line tool"somewhere in my movieclip and then to access information about my lines with actionscript to get startX, startY and endX endY of every line.
I am trying to make an interactive flash application that works by detecting mouse overs and clicks on various buttons/movie clips and then moves to the appropriate part of the time line. But I am having an issue when I use more than one addEventListener in any one frame. I have attached the code for one such frame below. When I comment out the addEventListner and the other code relating to the followBall function this works fine and directs the user to frame Inlet_Valve_Open_Frame but now only the followBall function is working and when i try to click on the Inlet_Valve_Button movie clip nothing happens.
I have never read all the help files on the adobe flash CS3 as i don't have time and i have built this code up based on examples i have found online. I wanted to include my fla file but it's to big 6Mb. But i have attached the swf so you have an idea what i am doing.
It's compiling all fine, and when I try to send I don't get any errors, but also no result. No message is received. Am I on the right path? What's the logic behind the endpoint uri? What port should I use? Should I configurate Web.config? (beyond the flourinefx configs that enable RemotingService?) I don't get any response in the flourine.log.
I want to use vkontakte's new wrapper feature, that enhances your application abilities by running under SWF wrapper. This is a sample application that uses this mechanism. It uses pure action script to display it's contents rather than an mx:Application.
Using the wrapper on my mx:Application failed due to the following error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at mx.managers::FocusManager/activate()[C:autobuildgalagaframeworksprojectsframeworksrcmxmanagersFocusManager.as:702] at mx.managers::SystemManager/activateForm()[C:autobuildgalagaframeworksprojectsframeworksrcmxmanagersSystemManager.as:2493] at mx.managers::SystemManager/activate()
[Code]...
Unfortunately - it also failed, and the question remains, how to start Application from a simple AS file?
Maybe it is a bad habbit which still i have from Flash Professional, but : I am trying to add a simple Sprite or/and Bitmap on just created, empty application, and it just not hapening.
I start to work on new web 3d engine. I call it IGood engine. As can be seen from the video, it is already possible to create a simple application of visualization without lines of code.Base on for alternative 3d.I am waiting your opinions.
I am trying to implement a simple chat application in adobe flex 3 with php as back-end. I have found few frameworks on net, AMFPHP and WebOrb. But I see that both these frameworks do a polling to the server at regular intervals.
I want to write a simple application which passes data between two remote computers over the internet. The application I really have in a game where moves are passed between two remote clients. what server can I use to my game moves to my friend boris?how can i communicate with this server in actionscript?
i have a mobile application that i am attempting to use to load an interactive .swf file. At first, i was just going to use the .mxml applications from my other project file in flex, but they're for desktop apps and running on Flex 3.6, and Mobile apps can't be built on less than 4.5 :P
so, i figured i'd export the first project to a .swf, and load it in my mobile application, but nothing i do will get it to show up. anyone know a solution?
I'm building an interactive flash application that will be used on a projector and projected onto a floor. The flash application will be showing a pool of water that when the cursor moves it will disturb the water, this much I have working fine so far. What I want to do however is add two things:
1) Display messages within the pool either by using a text file as a flat-file database or by typing them into a web page form and then submitting them in real-time to the flash app. Looking for ways of doing both (examples would be awesome)
2) Instead of using the cursor I'm looking to track a persons movements using a camera, is there any good software/plugins I could use to help with this?
I found that .fla files do not save in Flash CS4 when the Deco tool or Spray Brush tool is selected. Is this a bug? Or is there a workaround to this issue.
Working with senocular Transform Tool - How to remove/disable tool for objects Im new to AS3, and i have to use it for my current project. I have used the AS2 Transform tool extensively, but needless to say, the AS3 version works entirely differently. The way i understand it, the tool applies to and every Sprite , movieclip on stage
I get a working application in Flash made that lets the user click to create blocks which subsequently gravitate towards the mouse. I made the exact same thing in Processing too, just to compare speeds. However, when I run the Flash version and add around 15-20 blocks, the framerate drops to 5-10 FPS.In the Processing version I can add ~60 with no noticeable slowdown. What's the deal, Flash?
Links to each version's source:
Flash version Processing version
Here is the source for each in case you are a wizard and can help just by glowering at the code sternly and telling it to behave:
im making a bone animating system in flash but then i want to give it a more vital animation by manipulating its z y x position how is it possible using the 3d tool?im doing everything needed but when i get to that point nothing seems to work,i dont get 3d tool options.
I want to create a line tool exactly like flash line tool. But the code that I am using shows the line when we release the mouse button. How can I show the lines while it is drawing
Flash is not in my toolset, but I am an old Director jock and have spent some hours dipping my head into the Flash manual. I suppose that makes me a promising beginner-level poster. I'm working in CS5.
I need to make a simple Flash-based sound player for a website for a newly-released novel (http://www.bearriverbooks.com/index.html). I want the user to click on what appears to be an icon (or image), which kicks open a simple controller and starts playing a sound file (a radio interview, which I will probably export using Flash's voice compression). Nothing fancy. Just want the visitor to hear the sound and be able to apply simple controls (stop/start/rewind/volume).
I can learn ActionScript, I suppose, since I used to dream in Lingo, but my life would be a lot simpler if I could just publish a controller without having to roll my own. I'd like to think there's a magic button somewhere that can do this, but I haven't found it yet.
I have been creating a gallery for a client that changes preview images in response to thumbnail images being clicked, I have the basics working but now my client wants further interaction in some of the previews that include using buttons on the preview images that either open a web page in a new window or switch between more preview images. The problem is the new buttons that appear are embedded on the initial preview images (which are set as movies), and for some reason the interaction that has been added to these movies is stopped when run in another movie. Sorry if that sounds complicated!
I do know how to use the oval / rectangle and oval / rectangle primitive tools in the tool bar and find them quite useful, but one thing I find confusing is. A oval / rectangle primitive object can be edited later but the oval / rectangle can't. So the point is,how do we use them properly ? when to use ? Why does Adobe Flash still keep the oval / rectangle tool in their product instead of removing them with the oval / rectangle primitive tool ?
