I start to work on new web 3d engine. I call it IGood engine.As can be seen from the video, it is already possible to create a simple application of visualization without lines of code.Base on for alternative 3d.I am waiting your opinions.

I place the graphics in an array and tell them to move in an Enter Frame loop, then, I want to remove the graphics that surpasses a set position on the stage and move it to the start of the array.[code]...
And how I would move the graphics to the start of the array, I simply don't know :( If I get this to work, I also want to figure out how to make more than one layer of looping graphics, if possible. But, do you think what would slow down the game a lot?

View 1 RepliesI can create a MovieClip using the follwiFirst, select rectangle tool from ToolsWindow and draw a rectangle by dragging through mouse.Then press F8 by selecting the drawn rectangle, select radio-button with "MovieClip" and click "OK". Now give the instance-name to this newly created Movieclip(say,myMovie). Now, we are able to use this MovieClip.But, I need to create a custom-sized MovieClip upon which I place text-fields(not known i.e., it is dynamically known(say, "x" no. of text-fields are required)). Hence the MovieClip size must be increased/decreased as per our requirement

I'm trying to create a flash program that uses it's own code to send and create images. Each square has a colour and that colour gets added into the array. A black, then grey, then white is:
filecode = ["Bl", "Gr", "Wh"];
That works fine, but when I try to paste it into an Input text box it will only fill in the first part of the array.
filecode = ["Bl,Gr,Wh"];
So the program has NO idea what I want.The only ways I can think of fixing this is by putting in 402 text boxes to suit every box...But every one of them needs a Variable Name.Or by sending the information straight into the array. But this way you are just looking at what you just drew, and that is not at ALL practical.

In most cased when I press a second button, both numbers change to the second button that was pressed. Press the two and "2" is displayed. Then press four and it changes to "44". When using system fonts this doesn't occurr. This behavior only happens on the iPad. It's fine in the test window on my computer.

I've used Flash before to create animations but it has been a long time. I've been asked to create a very simple animation using two images, one of a broken PC and one of a fixed PC. I want the broken PC to come in from the left and then fade into the fixed image of the PC which will be centred. I know this is very very simple but I can not for the life of me remember how to do animation, motion tweening etc. I have the two images and I've tried importing them, converting them to movie symbols etc but it doesn't go to plan. The animation needs to be between 1 - 3 seconds long at 12 fps. The document size is 550 x 400, standard I believe. I am using Macromedia Flash 8 Professional.

So far from what i gather, flare only allows the graphing of defined datasets rather than allowing a user to modify the dataset and thus creating a new dataset.

View 6 RepliesI am having trouble getting a hitTest to work. My two MCs are lines, one horizontal, one slanted. When the horizontal line gets within the "bounding box" of the slanted line the hitTest is true, but it's not touching the slanted line yet. I saw that the shapeFlag property comes into play here, but only when using coordinates... I'm not sure how to apply it to these two lines. I want the hitTest to be true only when the lines actually touch. I have attached a simple FLA of the problem.
View 1 RepliesA while ago, I created a replacement shell to run as a front end for a cybercafe. It was nothing fancy; just a flash movie that had button links to IE and a few trusted applications.
I'm trying to develop it further now and am wondering two things:
1. Is it possible to send an application to a frame within a movie? For example, have a static movie at the top with links, then when a button is pressed, the menu remains but the application opens below without overlapping. I know I can use HTML and frames but really want to keep it all in one movie/swf.
2. Is it possible to build on the above and have some sort of application lister that will allow you to switch between the two applications you have running. For example, a user may open IE, then open Word. Word has now replaced IE and I want the user to have a simple click button to go back to an existing window rather than open another instance from the menu.
I am a Flex/Java developer, in the process of creating a Financial/Trading website for a start-up company.The default look and feel of Flex (out of the box) is pretty plain and bland (in terms of the default styles). Can anybody recommend the easiest way for me (as a developer) to make the website look as polished and professional as possible?

I have a huge code execution with many loops and pre-rendering processes and I was wondering if there is a way to tell the flash player to take a little pause on the code side and do a render.
Basically I have my execusion that takes a while, and on each step I make a call to a screen and then modify the scale of a loading bar. Now the problem is that the user only sees the progress at the end, I know this is due to the fact that flash does code execution and then render, i tried to make calls to stage.invalidate to force a render but it wouldnt work until the whole execusion if finished either. Is there a way to force flash to render between two lines of code?
Anyone know of a program or way to point a program or script at a directory and count the lines of text (code) in in and all sub directories? Just curious as we have completed a fairly big project.

but when this is run, it wouldnt go into some of those if statements. So i debugged it to see what happened. and at some points, it just wouldnt go into the statement even though its conditions were true.
I've toyed with this script for some time now and I am having issues removing lines of code and still getting my script to work. Basically I want to keep how this code loads and centers the parts of that code that refer to "mc" but I want to take out anything that refers to "bkg". I have gone through the code step by step to comment out areas but when I get to the very bottom, if I comment out this line:

I am trying to create a simple floor plan that highlights where the computers are on the floor.
1. Each computer has a name for e.g. Comp1, Comp2, Comp3 etc.
2. The computer names are in a list on the left hand side.
3. On the right hand side is the simple floor plan with computer images (or clipart)
This is what is expected:
1. As the mouse is mover over the item on the list, the computer associated with it must light up (or highlighted) For e.g. when the mouse is over Comp1 in the list then computer1 image (or clipart) on the floor plan must light up
2. When the mouse is over a computer on the floor plan, then the associated computer name in the list must light up For e.g. when the mouse is over computer2 image (or clipart), then Comp2 in the list must light up. I was trying to get some ideas from [URL]. I was able to make the image for a computer. It doesn't go far enough to tell me how to accomplish the above. Using Excel, I did this nearly five years back, by putting the clipart in specific cells and hyperlinking them. Now we want to make it available on the web.
