Is there a way to make the default item renderer in a Datagrid look like a text input field?
I just want to tell the user, that he can change the value of this cell.
i have a text input box in which i want to insert Hebrew (RTL language) text. now, the RTL support i need is basic, and thats easy enough to do. however, for entering hebrew in the box, the user has to set hebrew in his windows language bar. is there a way of making the default input language in the box hebrew, regardless of what is currently set in the language bar? note - the hebrew characters are showing just fine, its just that to enter them you have to make sure the language bar is set to hebrew as well.

Ideally I would want to do something like

I have to put 2 numeric stepper components in one column of a datagrid. I suppose I need to write my own item renederer code for that. How to write a code for putting 2 numeric stepper components in one coulmn of datagrid.
The 2 numeric steppers would work as time (Hour and Min) components. I cannot use readily availabel time components, and hence have to write something of the above for my own time component.
Getting error while run the checkBox item renderer in advanced datagrid with out data.
Error: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

In datagrid i shows number of checkbox for example 20 checkboz ,in 20 checkbox if i select any 15 checkboxs then remining checkboxs will be disable (enabled="false" But 15 selected checkbox accessable ?

View 2 RepliesI have an issue with font scaling of a dynamic text box.
Currently i have one input box named input_1 with a variable attached to it named "choc_1".
Also, i have a dynamic text box named dynamic_1 with variable "choc_1".
When the user types something on the input box then the dynamic box changes instantly and displays what the user has written.
auto scale-size the fonts to a smaller size if the user types many letters.
The input_1 box has a 13 character limit. My initial font size is 200, i want to scale down so when the user types 10 letters they fit the box and they don't go out of screen. I want to use one line, so wrap or multiline is not possible.

how to make a label appear inside a input text field. As of now I am just using a static text field to the left of the input field, bt due to lack of space I would like the text field name to appear inside the actual input text field and when the user clicks to insert their text the title or label for that input field dissapears.

View 5 RepliesI'm creating a mobile app in which I need to show a calendar with months at the top. The months are part of a component that extends from SkinnableDataContainer (and has some custom scrolling/behaviour - which is why I did'nt use a spark list). I need the months to be shown as a 'trapezium' shaped tab and so I'm using a png image as a mask in the item renderer for the component.
When the mask is not applied, it all works well - the months render, the list/data container selection works when I click on a month and so on.When the mask is applied, it renders well, scrolling and everything else seems to work well - but when I click on a month, nothing happens visually. And from the trace statements in my code, it appears list item selection is not changing. Looks like mouse clicks are not working.

Is it possible to login through flash using one Dynamic Text Field and one Input Text Field and no buttons? If so how? I have seen many tutorials dealing with logging in to PHP using flash but it requires you to make your own php scripts which i am not familiar with. Can some one tell me how to do this with PHPBBs existing php scripts... I want to be able to login thorugh a Input Text Field box and have it verify it in PHP and also be able to register and view other PHP info such as users online and FAQ..
View 2 RepliesI'm making a calculator using Flash MX that works the same way as the basic calculator found on windows (not the scientific one). But having the user input a number, store it as a variable, store which function the user wants to perform and clear the text field then store the new input in the same text field as a different variable and multiply or add or divide or subtract the 2 numbers and getting the equals sign to display the answer when clicked is harder than I thought it would be.

Using AS3 to create a basic number guessing game but for some reason the input text field won't accept text input. I can't figure out which piece of code is causing the problem and it's driving me nuts considering it's from a tutorial.

What I'm trying to do is to write something in an input field and then it should show up in a dinamic field. I can make this happen, but the problem is that the dinamic field shows its new text in the same format as the Input field. For example, the input text is written in TimesNewRoman and the dinamic text is in Arial, but when the dinamic text shows the input, the text is still in TimesNewRoman when I want it to be in Arial.

I have a single textfield, that oncesubmitted via "Get" method, sends the data to the site (Think of a google search field in a banner).In any case, I have some default text in the field. But when someone clicks on the submitbutton, the default text gets submitted as the search string. Is there a way to get the result from submitting the form without entering text into the textfield to be a default URL, and not the text string? See Below:

In the Spark DataGrid the default row height is about 22 px. I would like to set the default row height to 18 pixels and I can do this easily enough with the rowHeight property but what happens is when the rowHeight is set to anything less than 22 px the bottom area of the text in each row is cut off. It seems that the default grid itemrenderer or grid label has a min height set to it. Since I have multiple columns and want to have shorter rows but not have the bottom of the text cut off in each row how would I do this?

Now when i click Rename a popUp should be shown like
OldName : Parent1(Text Input showning present Name)
Enter New Name: Parent1NewName(Text Input for entering New name)
OK | CANCEL Buttons
Afetr Entering the new name,click OK,popup should be closed and need to get the value in the treeItemRenderer.
I have the logic to rename the Parent1 in TreeItemRenderer and also I m able to get the Parent1 in the popup OldName TextInput.But after entering the new name i m not able to get that new name in the TreeItemRenderer.
