I'm trying to make a button to load an input text field for email addresses. I've been trying lots of different approaches but nothing seems to be working.Code:Quote:

way to convert an email address once entered in a textfield as an object like shown in this image on MS office outlook ;
the point is that now in outlook as my cursor is positioned just after "user2@gmail.com" if I click backspace I will delete the entire email address, as if it was one object and not simple text entered.
How can I send email to several email addresses by clicking the submit button one time. I am using Flash AS-2 .Shall be glad for any reference.

View 3 RepliesI've got an input box within a movie clip that will store several paragraphs of text. I'd like to store the text entered into this box into a MySQL Database using PHP (which I've found several helpful tutorials for) but I'd also like to load this same text into the input box to avoid the text from being lost if the browser gets closed.
So is it possible to dynamically load text into an input field from, say, a Flash variable? If so, can anyone give me a short code example or at least some tips as to where I can find out how to do something like this?
I'm having trouble with correctly implementing an input text field where the user can enter a URL that will open a new browser. Right now it IS working: enter URL, press enter, the browser opens the website... but only on the FIRST run-through. Once anything else is entered into the field, another browser window opens, but only goes to the default homepageI am stumped as to why this is occurring.My code is probably quite messy, too.

how to make a label appear inside a input text field. As of now I am just using a static text field to the left of the input field, bt due to lack of space I would like the text field name to appear inside the actual input text field and when the user clicks to insert their text the title or label for that input field dissapears.

I created two buttons named button_B and button_G, and an input textfield named in_Text.when a student presses button_B, the letter "B" is entered into the input text field; if a student presses button_G, the letter "G" is entered into the input text field. More than one letter entry is acceptable as a student's answer: for exmple the entry BBB, BGB within the input field is okay.I have no trouble writing AS3 to accomplish this task, however:For a student's solution to the input text field to be correct, it has to contain the four values BBB, GGG, BGB, and GBG in any order. I created an array named solution_S with these values. I also have an enter the solution button named enter_btn. The student can check their solution by pressing the enter_btn button; if the input textfield is correct, the quiz moves on to the next frame in my timeline; if it is incorrect, it moves to a different frame in my timeline.

When I fill the text field my plus button becomes able and I can press it for another text field, an so on. My problem is when I press the minus button, because the fields have to rearrange and I don't know how to do that.

Is it possible to login through flash using one Dynamic Text Field and one Input Text Field and no buttons? If so how? I have seen many tutorials dealing with logging in to PHP using flash but it requires you to make your own php scripts which i am not familiar with. But having the user input a number, store it as a variable, store which function the user wants to perform and clear the text field then store the new input in the same text field as a different variable and multiply or add or divide or subtract the 2 numbers and getting the equals sign to display the answer when clicked is harder than I thought it would be.

Sometimes the text is greater than the text field so I want to be able to show a page up and page down button. However I do not want these displayed if the text does not exceed the field.
Currently the buttons are always displayed.
I understand how to get the text field info, I do not understand the "easy" bit of only loading the buttons if the text field size is exceeded.

What I'm trying to do is to write something in an input field and then it should show up in a dinamic field. I can make this happen, but the problem is that the dinamic field shows its new text in the same format as the Input field. For example, the input text is written in TimesNewRoman and the dinamic text is in Arial, but when the dinamic text shows the input, the text is still in TimesNewRoman when I want it to be in Arial.

Well, I'll make 4 input text boxes, and a button in the middle. 1 text boxin the north, (power effect the body from the north) one on the south, one on the east and one on the west.(I've done that part).

i did a flash form for the first time.I have a multi line input text, it works fine when u type in the content.But when i hit sent, and I checked my email, the whole message is in one single line. All my other fields work fine cos they are single line input text.All my Variables are sent to my asp and then to my email.I guess my asp file did not capture the vbCrlf and convert it to <br>, am i right?
