All it does is create a new tweet that says"played and scored #".I tried mutiple things to get it to display what it's supposed to show, but if I replace anything between +'s with something else the buttons stops working. what I should put there to get the score calculated, and have the game title etc. displayed in the tweet?(I don't seem to able to post links yet so all the extra .'s are there for a reason)
It is possible to send the last blog/twitter post to a flash site? Via xml or something else?

The client comes to a .aspx page with a form requiring a username and a password. 2. On the server side I confirm the user credential . Once the username/password is valid I redirect to the mxml file with the config.xml file in the html headers (post).My problem comes when I need to get the post data from the http request. I'm building an AIR application. Basically, what I'm looking to do is using navigateToUrl() to open a browser window, assign it a "name" and then, send variables to that newly opened window using the POST method.
EDIT : I need the window to be visible, this is why I absolutely need to use the navigateToUrl() function
I already know that I CAN'T DO something like this, that the AIR application will send the variables using the GET method...

Anyone know if you can connect, login, post an image to a Facebook account directly from inside of Flash? I grabbed the Facebook API for AS3 and have it installed, created an application definition on Facebook but am having no look connecting to it? I have seen some refereneces to it only working inside of Flex and am wondering it that's the case. I am looking to do a kiosk application where a camera image will be uploaded directly to the persons FB page.

View 1 RepliesI'm currently in the planning/early building phase of a desktop flex application that will be communicating to a Zend Application on a web server.The flex app will basically be like a layout/view in terms of the MVC pattern, it will make requests to various controller actions and display the data returned in a meaningful way, and post data that will update various data in the database on the server. Basically what I'm wondering is what the best way is to go about building a login system for the desktop application.I can't use the regular channels that you would if your users were accessing the application via a browser, so I was thinking I would do this:
Flex app posts login details (email, password) to a login action.The login action uses Zend Auth to check if the details are valid.The login action creates a unique hash (and stores it in the db somewhere along with the user's id) and returns a json object containing the hash along with the user's id to the flex app.Whenever the flex app makes requests to any action in the web app, it also sends along the user's id and the unique hash so the web app can verify the user.

I can't use a proxy server. Can't use google app engine etc. I can't use server side code. No php or python. I need to be able to do logins to twitter and post status updates to twitter through an Actionscript 3 web application. The biggest thing is obviously getting around twitter's crossdomain. Is there a clean ajax version of this or something?

Here's the code I'm using...

The problem is that it always sends as GET, and the data in vars.html is too long for my server to receive.
To make matters worse, it seems like AIR can only send GET via navigateToURL.
The issue with this is, I need to open a new browser window and send the POST data so that a script on my server can create a PDF file for the user.
I have a need to build a flash login page. No big deal, but I need to have six seperate login accounts. For example:
Username: user1 Password: pass = link to [URL]
Username: user2 Password: pass = link to [URL]
Username: user3 Password: pass = link to [URL]
and so on for up to six users.
Again the usernames and passwords would not change, but need to redirect the particular user to a certain page.

View 3 RepliesI am trying to post a "tweet" to my twitter using Flex (using the Flex 3.5 SDK and Flex Builder 4 if that makes any difference). On an mxml file I've created a button simply to make it easy to call an AS3 function, and in the function, I'm making a URL request. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, because my tweet ain't posting. I got these variables in the curl request provided by Twitter themselves, which actually worked. My guess is that I'm formatting something incorrectly, but I don't know what that is. Here is the code I'm using:

I'm trying to display the profile images from both facebook and twitter. For facebook, the URLs I'm receiving are something like this (not actual urls):[URL]... Which is then redirected to the 'actual' url like this:[URL].. I'm also doing this with twitter, with the same issue (redirected url).
So, when I load the image, it loads fine. But when I close the container that the image is in, then I get the security sandbox violation. I can get this all to work if I add the URL from the 'actual' image url like this:

I have a facebook application where the user choose 4 of his friends and then it creates a video (swf) with the pictures of your friends in it (loaded via xml). So I need to share this video on the user timeline. Everything works fine but the video is not embedded in the post on his timeline, there is only a post with the link to the page in it.The weird thing is, if I post the url directly on my timeline, the video is embedded, but not if the same link is posted via the application.here is my code called by the share button in js :

The flex project already has login system but I want to bypass that and use the login system created in php. For testing I created a simple mxml file and one html page. Using the object tag and flashvars I passed the username and password into the swf and displayed using label. But my project is very big and want to pass username and password without using the swf of the project.

I have a Flex login page that uses HTTPService to communicate with server side php script. Once user's credential is verified, a session will be created and the login page will redirect to the main Flex page with that session info. I'm not sure how to implement the session logic.
