We have a Flex, Blazeds & Spring based Web application. The requirement is that if the browser is idle for 30 minutes, we have to popup an error message to the user and then redirect to the login page.

View 2 RepliesI have an application where the home page is an aspx page. It redirects to the flex application with authentication information in the url. The problem here is, if a guy copies the link for the flex application (which appears in the browser after redirection) and pastes it again, he will be able to access it. Is there some way to prevent this? That is, can we check whether the link was redirected from aspx or copy pasted?

What I want to do is when the app has finsihed loading I want to change the preloaders text to "configuring".Then I want to go and do a bunch of setup stuff in my code.Once I've done all the setup I wanted how can I get the Preloader to dispatch its Event.complete from else where in my code?I tried Application.application.preloader but it comes up null.So I guess my question really is how to access a preloader from anywhere in my application. Would a better approach be to have all setup classes as members of my preloader class?
In my rails controller, I have a show and save action. The show is for showing the flash application. The save is for saving the flash application. When the flash application calls the rails save action I would like it to redirect to a new view in the rails app and no longer be inside the flash application.I have a redirect_to some_path in the save action. The server log shows a successful redirect to some_path, however, for the user there is no redirect and they are still stuck inside the flash application.

Recently my client requested real-time-like connectivity between the applications to replace what we currently have; refresh buttons which have to be clicked to refresh data.So effectively the server needs to push data to the client when something changes. Flex app posts login details (email, password) to a login action.The login action uses Zend Auth to check if the details are valid.The login action creates a unique hash (and stores it in the db somewhere along with the user's id) and returns a json object containing the hash along with the user's id to the flex app.Whenever the flex app makes requests to any action in the web app, it also sends along the user's id and the unique hash so the web app can verify the user.
I have a LineChar, with one LineSeries, on which i am drawing values ( Y axis ), on specific time ( X axis ).The problem is that i don't wanna the points which is distanced on a specific distance in time ( let say 6 hours ) to be connected.Is there a way to make LineSeries with DateTimeAxis not connecting points distanted in specific time ?

I have set up a pyamf gateway to that serves value objects that originate from a django admin panel, through sqlalchemy to my authenticated flex client. It's working great, however there is a problem. My sessions are persisting and clogging up the server, so after about 20 or so AMF sessions are authenticated, it refuses any more until I restart the server.

The application is used through Facebook. I click the button and the flash contains the notice while create is being executed, but after that it's empty again. It doesn't survive a redirect.
I've a problem, I'm using an AdvancedDataGrid. It loads about 3000 records with about 20 columns. I constantly get Flex execution timeout because the grid executes a lot inside LayoutManager. How can I make it asyncronousely or faster at all?
View 2 Repliesmy flex application sends a few concurent requests on startup. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to fetch them all so I've set them requestTimeout param to 5 secs. Additionally, I've defined a method that handles fault events. I'd like to resend a request when timeout occurs.It doesn't work though. Could you take a look at the code?

Is there a timeout on the connection made by URLLoader.load? If there is, what's its value, where is it documented and can it be changed? Also, what event (if any) gets dispatched if the timeout occurs? Is there a difference between AIR and browser application in those regard?

One of the functions that I'm calling fetches users from a MySQL database. There are about 30,000 users right now. The service seems to timeout when fetching more than around 22,000 rows, I get the "Channel Disconnected before an acknowledgement was received" error. If I call the PHP script from a browser, it fetches them all with no problems at all, however. I have tried increasing the timeout in the PHP script (which didn't work), but obviously this isn't the problem since the browser is able to pull them up with no problems.
I have a need to build a flash login page. No big deal, but I need to have six seperate login accounts. For example:
Username: user1 Password: pass = link to [URL]
Username: user2 Password: pass = link to [URL]
Username: user3 Password: pass = link to [URL]
and so on for up to six users.
Again the usernames and passwords would not change, but need to redirect the particular user to a certain page.

View 4 Replies(Flex 3) I have a TextArea component which needs to hold the user's clipboard content. The TextArea does the job relatively well for most cases but when pasting a large amount of data, I can't seem to get the content in the component at all due to the script execution timeout.
I've done a fair deal on investigation to try and hopefully find how I could make this work. I found that the TextArea is using a IUITextField (which is in my case an instance of TextField at runtime) do handle the job of obtaining the pasting data and then throws an event when it is done.
I have found no way to take a look at the source of TextField as it is a class in the playerglobal.swc library.
Is there a way for me to maybe see the source of that class or is there something I'm missing in my approach to figure out a way to make this work?
Is there some other simple method to redirect mouse/keyboard input from one object to an object behind it. I have used mouseEnabled = false where the object in front is only a UIComponent and it works. However mouseEnabled,mouseChildren=false is not working for an SWFLoader.
