View 2 Repliesim rendering html in a dynamic textfield.. is it possible to have scrollbars for my content that extends beyond the view.
View 2 RepliesI have the following spark Scroller
<s:VGroup width="100%" height="100%" gap="0">
<s:Scroller width="100%" height="100%">
<s:DataGroup width="100%" height="100%"
[Code]....
which is set to 100% width. The DataGroup is also set to 100% width. What I want to achieve is for the scroller's vertical scrollbar to OVERLAP the DataGrid. In other words I want the DataGroup to maintain the width of the outer VGroup even when the vertical scrollbar is displayed. I don't need the vertical scrollbar to move my content to the left, i want it to be displayed in top of that.
How do you change the html scrollbar (the one that you see in the far right of your browser) with your own images? I know it's possible because i've seen it before.
P.S.: I am aware of and I know how to change the color of the scrollbar. That is not what's expected. Also i think it's made possible by Javascript.
URL...This link works fine in my desktop computer, but when i try to check it with my laptop or netbook, it wont load the video thumbnails or so.It just keeps saying leniyor (loading) and gets stuck.The flash player version is the same with my desktop and laptop. I tried it over various browsers including IE, Chrome and firefox.
View 1 RepliesI have made a custom class which extends Sprite. This class is a vertical long rectangle with different contents inside. I used a mask in order to show only a part of this vertical "rectangle" (let's call it this way for clarity). Just at its side there's a scroll bar which has to deal with the scroll (up and down) of all this rectangle along its mask.
The problem is that I don't know how to set up the scrollbar in order to get it all working. I've made a function to set it up:
[Code]...
The scroll bar appears where I wanted, it's fully operative, but still it doesn't scroll up/down the container. From this point on, I don't know what to do in order to displace the container upwards/downwards at the same time the slider is displaced. Is there any Actionscript method to do that? If not, what is the formula?
I'm interested if there is some tool (preferably a firefox addon) that allows you to record http requests and view their response header and content.
View 3 Repliesi came across this problem and i have no clue why it's happening. basically, consider 2 nested movieclips on the stage, something like stage -> main -> filler. both movieclips have instance names (main and filler).
[Code].....
this throws an error 1119: Access of possibly undefined property filler through a reference with static type A. can anyone give me a hint on that, as it works with class A, but not B extending A? i understand it was meant to work?
I have android 3.2 tablet application that displaying flash inside webView. now I want to catch event when pressing some inner item inside (it does't direct to another url..)
is it possible??
loadVariablesNum("testimonials.txt", 0);
gotoAndPlay("load");
This code works perfect when testing, and it works perfect viewing the SWF, but when you view the HTML file with the SWF embedded, it doesn't display the text file content.
I started with flex for mobile a few months ago, and I find it very interesting. I am now building a mobile app, but I don't know how to go further.I have a TabbedViewNavigatorApplication, with 3 ViewNavigators. In one of these ViewNavigator, I want to change the content, but not the whole view (e.g. I don't want the actionbar to slide). Please have a look at the attached image. How to do this?
View 1 RepliesWe currently have an issue with in our Citrix farm with Windows 2003 Servers (x64, R2, SP1) Where Flash Flash 10,0,22,87 is installed and working fine when logged in as a Domain administrator but will not work as a normal (non administrative user) to confirm I've given a user who it did not work for Domain admin rights and it started working straight away. I'm using (and published within Citrix) the 32bit version on IE for compadibility reasons and have also tired this on a Window 2003 Server (x86 R2 SP1) and am getting the same results so I have to assume the issue is with Flash and not with my setup.
I've tried the following recommendations:Remove with Adobe Flash removal tool and Reinstalling via website with an Domain admin login using the change user /install command Remove with Adobe Flash removal tool and Reinstalling via install_flash_player_ax.exe installer with a domain admin account using the change user /install command Allowing Domain users Modify Premissions (to both the Directories and Files) to the M:WINDOWSsystem32MacromedFlashswflash.ocx & M:WINDOWSSysWOW64MacromedFlashFlash10b.ocx Following KB article [URL] and applying the premission changes recommended Following KB article [URL] and checking the registry premissions on these items I've enabled all ActiveX and Java related IE options in Group Policy to allow the to run for the Internet Zone When going to [URL] either as a Domain admin or a Regular user it confirms that "You have version 10,0,22,87 installed" Still I cant seem to get flash components of websites to load when logged in as a non Administrative User.
I'm about to have to write a web page/app that will serve the agenda for circa 100 people on a page. One line per person, one column per day with 3 clickable zones in each cell. In HTML, the page is way complex for the browser to load quick and there is no possibility to click on a border between 2 cells to for example split an event that spreads among several cells. So I search an not too overkilling technology to render this kind of view. I begun with a PHP generated HTML page but the number of elements in the page make the mouse move jerky.
Moving to JAVA would give me better performances regarding the reuse of the generator of the view but it will still be an HTML page. So, here is my question: do you think that going forward with JAVA and its graphical capability is the simple solution or is Flash a better option for this part of a Web App? I'm afraid of the code I'll have to write in JAVA to handle the GUI presentation as well as the events generated by the 1000's cells plus borders of the page. In Flash, the graphical part seems simpler even if the actions handling is still huge.
I'm currently using RobotLegs with the Presentation Model pattern to develop a Flex 4 project. I understand that all business logic related to a View resides in the Presentation Model associated with that view, however, I am confused when it comes to View specific logic.For example, I have an indicator that needs to be positioned relatively to list items depending on which list item is selected. Is it acceptable in the Presentation pattern to put the logic that will position the indicator in the View and simply have that logic run in reaction to a selectedIndex property changing in the presentation model?The reason I am considering this is that since the Presentation Model does not have a reference to the view it is difficult to come up with an ideal solution for manipulating view components.
View 1 RepliesI am wondering how to make a 360º view bubble, like they use for Google Street View, but have no idea how to go at accomplishing this task... i have the string of photos that i attached in photoshop(so that if you connected the left to the right it would be a full 360º view).
View 1 RepliesI am using Flash CS4 AS3.. When I open my browser "Internet Explorer 7" it opens normal. But When I open a link using the following Flash code it opens half in length and half in width. I need to click on "Maximise" button to view in full. How to solve the problem? It is our Intranet link.
PM3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,PM3ClickHandler);
function PM3ClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void { navigateToURL (new URLRequest ("http://engineering/history/thisyear/ceomessage.htm"));
}
I tried modifying the line as well. It also doesnt work.
navigateToURL(new URLRequest ("http://engineering/history/thisyear/ceomessage.htm"), "_blank");
I have one .mxml file (the Application) with a ViewStack (with 4 views) and a ControlBard, obviously I can change the views with it, but what I want to do is: in view #1 I have an image which I want to convert to a "hyperlink", so when I click it I go to View #2, is this doable? Also I would like to pass somehow some data (like a String) to that View #2 (lets say the it's a user avatar I click so I want to go to the second view which will show me his profile, that's why I need his name/id).
View 1 RepliesMy problem is that when I try to pass an object from the navigator.pushView(view, dataobject), I can't figure out how to access the dataobject from actionscript. I can access {dataobject.property} from MXML easily, but I want to set a variable in the new view to the passed dataobjects property.
View 1 Repliesin flash, I encounted a source file that is cropped and I cannot move it, is there some sort of cropped view in flash I dont know about? I cannot find anyinformation about it, it has rulers displayed as far as I remember.
Basically you cannot move in the file to edit anything viewpoint wise, everything outside of the movie area is invisible and not there? As if cropped.
I published a Flash file with the html wrapper.
Flash publish settings-
Size - %
Height- 100%
Width 100%[code]....
All good but there are no scroll bars on the browser when I make the browser window smaller? Search took me to this thread- http: [url]....The solution there is "find the parameter in your CSS that states "overflow: auto" or "overflow: hidden" and change it to "overflow: scroll".I did that and now I see a white scroll track in the browser but no actual scroll bar? LOL What do you think is going on?This is the page code-
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en">

know the AS for making scrollbars with the enertia effect on them, i have seen them in a few places,
View 6 RepliesI'm trying to create several pop-up windows that will initiate when buttons within flash are pressed. I've tried using this tutorial... [URL] However, when I try setting scrollbars=no so that the pop-up windows I'm making wont have any scrollbars, I find they appear anyway, and obscures part of the total html file which is trying to open. I've also tried this tutorial... [URL]. and find the same thing happens. Even though I switch scrollbars to "no" or "0", they still appear.
View 8 RepliesI have a button inside of a movie clip and need to call up a URL.
webbsiteButton.onRelease = function () {
getURL("javascript:launch('http://www.somewebsite.com')");
}
If you go here:and view my flash site at a resolution of 1024x768 in Firefox it has a vertical scroll bar in the browser but not a horizontal scroll bar (is there a way to make it have a horizontal scroll also) because you can't see all the copyright into at the bottom right. Also, Internet Explorer opens the page with NO scrollbars at all (you can't even scroll down to see the content)
View 2 RepliesIn Flash 8 with AS 2, how to customize the crollbars of ScrollPane component? For example, change the default color of the scrollbars of the component.
View 3 RepliesI have a swf which is 1700px wide.I want to embed it to a page so it won't have scrollbars even if the browser window is smaller then 1700.But I need it not to be resized down
View 8 RepliesHaving some problems adding the default spark.components.VScrollBar scrollbar. All I'm doing is creating a new VScrollBar, setting it's coordinates, a width and height and doing an addChild but it's not showing up. I'm adding other components too that do show up in the same code so that shouldn't not be the problem.What might I be missing?
var a:VScrollBar = new VScrollBar();
a.x = 100;
a.y = 100;[code].....
I'm using an iFrame in a Flex 3 project. The problem is that if the user opens my site in a small browser window, they don't get scrollbars. How can I solve this problem? Is there a way to force the browser to put up scrollbars?
If I set the main app to horizontalScrollPolicy="on" verticalScrollPolicy="on" or to "auto", then as you scroll down, the iFrame is stuck to the top of the browser window and obscures the content.
In the main app:
[Code].....
It's going to be used to view complicated scenes in 3D, but to make it work on laptops it's instead showing pre-rendered 360 degree renders of the objects.When you load an object, it first buffers 360 frames into memory, so that you can rotate around this object smoothly. When you release the mouse button, it loads in the high-res image of that frame.
Then, you should be able to zoom in and move around to inspect the model closer.Problem here is when I have the scrollbars enabled it wont work properly.Firstly, I had a problem where the vertical scrollbar moved out of the picture when I was scrolling the horizontal scrollbar.
Then after some more testing, they now stay where they should, but when I zoom in (will post code below) the horizontal scrollbar is not able to go far enough to the left to show the whole image.What happens is, when I zoom in, the scrollbar remains at it's left position, but I zoom in on the center of the image (zooming, by scaling the container. The image fill the container).
My problem is probably just a result of me overlooking some basic understanding. And sorry if the code is a bit messy, I've only done a little bit of clean up. The code I post below is without any scrollbars visible.
You can see that I've tried using scrollbar components too, and it works somehow. But I'm not able to scale the scrollbar depending on the content, so if I zoom in or out, the handle you drag on the scrollbar will be the same...
Image of app running if needed:
Code:
<mx:Panel x="0" y="0" width="100%" height="100%" titleIcon="@Embed('assets/img/cog_01.png')" title="vCog Subsea - Draugen Project">

Here is the code for using the UIScrollbar component with the HtmlLoader:
Code:

import flash.net.URLRequest;

I'm having an issue here trying to make scrollPane scrollbars to apear and work
I'm creating one scrollPane at runtime with
var sp_veiculos:ScrollPane = new ScrollPane(); sp_veiculos.name = "sp_veiculos"; addChild(sp_veiculos);
then I want to have an if statmento to make the scrollbars apear if I need like
if (numero_veiculos < 3) { sp_veiculos.verticalScrollPolicy = "OFF"; sp_veiculos.horizontalScrollPolicy = "OFF"; } else { sp_veiculos.verticalScrollPolicy = "ON"; sp_veiculos.horizontalScrollPolicy = "OFF"; }
