Actionscript 3 :: Set Video Frame Capture Using Bitmap Data?

Mar 12, 2011

I'm implementing an Augmented Reality application for android using Flash. In order to get the application working on my Android Phone (nexus One) the Phone Camera must be activated as well. So I need 2 layers one for the background which is the feed of my phone camera and an other one on top of it which is the view from away3d in this case.So setting up a BitmapData object to hold the information of the most recent webcam still-frame I can make this work.

If I use papervision3D library and FLARToolkit we setting up the BitmapData using the following part of the code found from this video tutorial:

//import libraries
import org.libspark.flartoolkit.core.raster.rgb.FLARRgbRaster_BitmapData;
import org.libspark.flartoolkit.detector.FLARSingleMarkerDetector;

[code]....

ActionScript 3.0 :: Create Bitmap Data Cache For Each Frame Of A Movie Clip?

Jan 15, 2012

I found something when I create bitmap data cache for each frame of a movie clip:I got a movie clip, instead of presenting it immediatly on stage, I created a bitmap data array to store each frame of it, so I'm doing:

var body:MovieClip;     // some mc for body
var suit:MovieClip;     // some mc for suit, frame count is the same as body mc
body["part"].addChild(suit);     // it's a avatar, there's a sprite named "part" on body mc to contain suit mc

[Code]....

if i present the original body moive clip, everything is ok, but when I use cache, it begins to tremble, this is because the getBounds() method of movieclip returns different rectangle when mc is cached and mc is presented on stage. I tried trace out every getBounds() when caching and when Event.FRAME_CONSTRUCTED fire, they're different, making my cache crash!

I assum MovieClip class do not refresh until it's present to stage or some time in on frame, how can I get the real boundary of it if I need to cache it?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Live Screen Capture Webcam Snapshot (bitmap API)?

Apr 10, 2008

Got round to the point where screen grabbing an image and saving it to file is too much, so what i want to do now, is take a snapshot of a live webcam image (I have webcam display working) and display the snapshot/screen grab, next to it or anywhere in the movie. This way the screen capture can be stored temporarily in the movie. once the movie is closed, all info is lost. Once another screen grab is taken, then the previous one is overwritten. The idea is simple but having problems working out how to do it in AS3!

I have got to the idea that i may need to use the Bitmap API to copy a section of the movie, and then redraw it into a new bitmap object?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Bitmapdata.hitTest - Bitmap 'emptyBitmap' With Bitmap Data Created

Feb 3, 2009

I'm cutting my teeth in actionscript 3 on a game that has a character running through a world. So, I have set up my Hit Testing by using the bitmap data hit test method, since I figured my world is going to be destructible - it'd be nice to update the level and then redraw it and have the character interact with the new change. (That works beautifully) I am however; a bit confused as to how I have my hit Testing set up. I've been messing around with it, and it works for now - but I'm not sure why.. currently, I have a character set up by using a class I built and using a series of animations I created. So, this character has a walking and falling animation, etc. This is a movie clip.

Then there's a bitmap 'emptyBitmap' with bitmap data created - however; I never really added this as a child to the character. This is sized to the dimensions of my character. My level is created as a movielip, then it's drawn to a bitmap - when the level movieclip is changed, the bitmap redraws, and that's how this updates.

SilverLight :: Video Capture And Recording From Webpage

Mar 27, 2012

I am trying to build a web application that can capture audio and video from a web cam and upload it to our server. The solution should work with both Windows and Mac. Supporting mobile devices would be a plus, but is not required. My boss would prefer if the platform/framework was from Microsoft. My initial impulse was to start looking into SilverLight. Interestingly, there were plenty of demos showing how to capture video and display it to the user, As far as I can tell SilverLight will not record video.

I already have a component that can record video in a winforms application using DirectShow, but the goal is to build something that is cross-platform so that our program will work for Mac users as well as Windows users. A desktop application is not out of the question, but we would much prefer to stick to a web page. I am aware that Flash can record video from within a browser, but the higher ups would prefer to avoid flash. Is there any other way to record video captured from a user's webcam from within a web browser?

Actionscript :: Capture Video To Memory And Play Back

Feb 25, 2012

I want to use the ActionScript 3 Camera class to capture a video from a local camera (webcam, built-in camera, etc) and then play that video back within the flash application.I'm considering the possibility of sending it to a Flash Media Server and then streaming it back as an on-demand video, but I would ideally like to keep the whole thing client-side for best performance.I'm open to the idea of using a different platform (Java was one consideration) as long as it can be embedded in a web page, but I would like to keep development as straightforward as possible and make the process of accessing the application as easy as possible for the end user, which is why I chose Flash initially.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Data Capture Form With Remote ASP Server?

Aug 17, 2009

I'm making a small flash app that's going to have a data capture form at the end. The problem is that it's going to be hosted on someone else's server and we need to capture the data ourselves. Our server is ASP and I really need the data from the form to be sent to us where it will be written to a database. - Is this possible at all? I've been looking into URLLoader and URLVariables but our tests aren't working so far.

Here is the AS3 code I'm using in the flash file..

ActionScript Code:

Code:
contact_name.text = contact_email.text = contact_subject.text =
contact_message.text = message_status.text = "";
send_button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, submit);

ActionScript 1/2 :: Screen / Stage Capture And Post Data

I am working on a project that requires the stage (and everything on it) to be captured, converted to a bitmap and then that data to be posted to another domain. I have looked at the .getPixel method but that creates a ridiculously long string and more often than not, will crash the swf in the browser. How I could possibly approach this. Oh, I need to do this in AS2 too.
