I've tired to do this with Silverlight, but I'm really unsure on how to upload the image. I use VideoDisplay to display the webcam. how can I fetch and play audio in real time ? Is there a way to save the video locally without using a flash media server?

Oct 16, 2011Im the new kid on the block so I apologyze if I'm not doing very well.Everything works fine till the moment in which I set the wmode param of the flash movie to transparent, then the movie completely disappears (it loads, as I can listen at the sounds) but it doesn't show.I would like to have a full background image with the transparent flash movie over it, that's all, if somebody can tell me how to fix this or even a new way to do it, it will be so good!!Here is my code, so simple, by the way:

Feb 26, 2011I'm looking for a flash script/library to capture video and audio from a webcam and then somehow get a saved flv to my encoding server. I'm not looking for something that will host the videos for me. I just need something simple to capture and then upload. I really want this to be open source and free.
I've done a fair amount of searching and it seems that most of what i can find is either a full blown service with hosting, or the red 5 suite. I've been trying for a day to get something going on with Red5, but honestly I haven't done any flash or java development in over 6 years and this seems way too complicated when all i really want is a flash object i can stick on a webpage.

Javascript :: Jquery.flash Plugin Not Working In IE6?
Jan 31, 2010I use jquery.flash() plugin to embed flash into my website. The problem is that in IE6 this doesn't work. I tried swfobject (1.5), also, but it gives me (sometimes) some strange errors with n null or something like that, so I decided to use jquery.flash() also. (I use both swfobject and jquery.flash() now)
So, basically, swfobject works but gives me that strange error sometimes (all browsers), so NOT all my flash banners work, and jquery.flash() WORKS in all other browsers, except IE6.

Oct 1, 2010I'm trying to write a simple flash mp3 player while using JQuery and it's SWF Object plugin.I'm adding an swf to the page using this code:

The player should be invisible one-pixel object that interacts with javascript. When i'm calling javascript functions from within flash objects (using ExternalInterface.call()) it works fine.

Jun 3, 2011I have an AVER-TV HD Video Capture Card. Using Flash AS3 I can display HD content on the screen just as if the card was a WebCam. However, the performance is not that great as it get's quite 'stuttery' and is not smooth. I wondered if there were a way I could get StageVideo to help with this? It seems the StageVideo object needs a NetStream to operate. I've tried attaching a Camera to a NetStream Object and then passing it to StageVideo. The Camera seems to turn on, but it doesn't display anything on screen. Do I need to do something for the NetStream / StageVideo to display the output on screen? I really hope there is a way to use StageVideo with this HD Video Capture Card as I imagine it would be a lot smoother.

So I want to capture images at max resolution indipendently from webcam automatically without setting the resolution every time ( if I have a webcam with 1.3 MPixel, I want to capture images at 1.3 MPixel; If I have a webcam with 640x480 Pixel, I want to capture images at 640x480 Pixel; and so on... ).

Apr 6, 2010I'm using the jQuery oembed plugin to display videos from a Vimeo feed. The only problem is they display over the top of my navigation menu. I have tried setting the z-index of the menu but this makes no difference. A common suggestion seems to be to set the wmode parameter to transparent or opaque. However, passing this as a parameter to the oembed function makes no difference.

Jul 18, 2011What I want to do is have control over the streams so I can send them wherever I want, have it interface w/a mic and cam, and the ability to capture and record them. At this point I don't have any specific specs or limitations. It will be used in a commercial project so the license must allow for that. Free and OSS is preferably, but commercial and proprietary is not out of the question if it's worth it.
I don't see html5 as a viable solution at this point so I'm assuming it's going to rely on flash which is fine, but I do not know actionscript. I'm not opposed to learning it, and assume I could pick it up fine within a week, but keep that in mind. If I have to build something myself from the actionscript libraries (I assume they provide enough functionality) I can do so, but I'm hoping for a quicker solution than that.

Apr 10, 2008Got round to the point where screen grabbing an image and saving it to file is too much, so what i want to do now, is take a snapshot of a live webcam image (I have webcam display working) and display the snapshot/screen grab, next to it or anywhere in the movie. This way the screen capture can be stored temporarily in the movie. once the movie is closed, all info is lost. Once another screen grab is taken, then the previous one is overwritten. The idea is simple but having problems working out how to do it in AS3!
I have got to the idea that i may need to use the Bitmap API to copy a section of the movie, and then redraw it into a new bitmap object?

However, flash player plugin (for Firefox/Chrome etc) has a bug which breaks usage of international characters when its using WMode for the html embed. WMode="widnow" works.
