I am trying to send a simple HTTP message from Flex to C# server, but it seems that I am getting tow calls, first is the real one and the second is an empty one.
Why is that and how can I handle it?
This is my C# code:
TcpListener listener = new TcpListener(IPAddress.Any, 9400);
listener.Start();
Console.WriteLine("Server started");
[Code].....
I been trying to send a true HTTP response a notice another thing, the second call is coming without waiting for the first call, if I am putting the response thread to short sleep(100 milliseconds in my test) then I am getting the second call before I been able to response for the first one.
Here is an issue i'm struggling to solve for quit some time now.I have a python + GAE backend with a flex client that communicates via JSON. I'm using flex's HttpService bound to a Responder with result and fault callbacks. When python raises an exception, I don't seem to get it in flex. I did some research and found out that the problem probably lies in the fact that the flash runtime cannot handle http responses with status code other than 200.
I'm a new grad, so please be kind. I'm working on validating input in a Flex DataGrid cell that the user can edit. The rows in the DataGrid are backed by an mx.collections.ArrayCollection that includes a [Bindable]Model that I wrote. I want to validate against a custom client-side Validator, if-and-only-if that passes I want to validate the input on the server. If client-side validation fails, I want to display the normal validation error (see image below). If server-side validation fails, I want to use the same sort of UI components to notify the user. The solution should not include any external framework (Cairngorm or PureMVC).
[Code]...
How do Flex programmers validate on the server, immediately after the valid client-side validation passes?
I realize it seems silly to search out this "synchronous" design and I hope someone has an answer to solve my problem with best practices. In my defense, the reason I want to validate on the server immediately following client-side validation is so that I'm using Flex's validation framework. If I get an invalid response from the server, I want to leverage the built-in UI components that Flex has to tell the user something is incorrect about his/her input.
i am new on steaming & flash server; when we try to use RTMP over HTTP the outside client gets the internal IP address of the FMS server instead of the NAT one or public IP address, how can we solve this.
What would be the crucial things to optimize when you have hundreds of people connected to your application, with most of them being in a video conference with RTMFP direct_connections, and also some using RTMP connections?
Our app seems to go down under heavy load. - RTMFP stops working (no one can connect to the service with RTMFP NetConnection) and RTMP NetStreams don't work either, however Text Chat works.
Server we use have a connection limit of 500 connections, and 2.5mbps speed limit per connection (a video conference with 4 people uses less than that so it seems fine).
Does is matter what HTTP server I use?In the process of upgrading from FMS 3.0 on Windows using IIS 5 to FMS 4.0. Will dynamic HTTP Streaming work from a Windows server?
I installed the FMS 4.5 on a debian system already running an apache web server. I configured the httpd.conf as mentioned in d6093a7e2f8312a374a1bde-8000.html but when i call a streaming url e.g. http://<IP>/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8 the request is still handled by the old apache, not by the FMS
If I have a Quad-core server and 8 RAM, how many users can it handle while streaming a 48-128Kbps audio-only stream of Mp3 or AAC? I guess there are some users here that are handling similiar cases, and maybe employees with estimates
I am experiencing an issue with playback on RTMPE streams. after investigation it seems that the FMS server is firing the NetStream.Play.Complete message at random points, indicating that a stream has ended. This is happening and random points during the stream, not even close to the end.[code]As you can see roughly 17mins into playback...although the stream is 1 hour 24mins long.I have tested this numerous times, and each time it is at a different point in the stream.Intermittently the NetStream.Play.InsufficientBW warning is being fired prior to NetStream.Play.Stop.I am using a player built on OSMF 1.5
I am having trouble wiring up an event listener to a fl.transitions.Transition.
Is it possible to somehow view all the events an object fires? That way I could check I am using the correct event (and possible view better ones to use).
I have a rollOver event on a pop-up button in flex. I want that the menu is opened on rollover. But if the user accidentally goes with the mouse over the component the menu should not be displayed. So on rollOver I want to start a timer (wait for half second) and than check if the user is still on the pop-up button (rollOut was not fired).
My example code so far:
private function rollOverMenu(event:Event){ rollOutNow = false; var shortDelay:Timer = new Timer(3000);
[code]...
The Alert "time is up" is never shown, any ideas why my timer event does not work?
I am working on Flex project these days and having java background. In my current task, same pop up is opened when two different types of custom events are being fired and I have to hide a button for one event type. So, how i can get event type.
I have an asp page that loads a response " user=exists " everytime I try to update a database record (when of course the record already exists!) How can I handle this response with AS3 in Flash?
I have 2 files, 1 to dispatch the event and 1 to receive it (of course in addition to the event class itself).
I've done this before with both dispatching and receiving files being mxml, but this time the dispatching file is an actionscript class, and it's not working this time. Is it different for actionscript classes?
Here's a dumbed down version
The dispatching class dispatches the event as soon as it's created.
public class ASClass extends UIComponent{ public function ASClass(){ dispatchEvent(new MyEvents(MyEvents.FIRE_EVENT)); } }
in my main mxml app, I instantiate the ASClass which automatically dispatch the event as soon as it's created and the main mxml app should receive back.
protected function appCComplete(event:FlexEvent):void{ addEventListener(MyEvents.FIRE_EVENT, gotEvent); var asClass:ASClass = new ASClass();
I'm (slowly) learning Flex 4 and working on skinning a custom component that extends SkinnableComponent. The component is all in ActionScript and essentially looks like this:
[Code]...
The issue I'm having is on NULL REFERENCES in the Constructor for the various SkinParts, because they're not created yet. I'm trying to find out when is the best time to access them to assign their .text values. I know I can override partAdded() and add the .text value as each part is added, but I'd rather just listen for some magic event that is dispatched when they're all available.I'm not sure whether or not it matters, but the accountName, accountNumber variables are assigned by using a repeater with a dataProvider on the host component. I'm not sure if that too has something to do with when the data is available to the AccountSummary component - which may also needed to be waited on. I was able to successfully use FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE to assign all my .text values to the SkinParts, but is that the right event/best practice?
how can i handle a streaming timeout (client stop stream to the server), i made an application which streaming webcam to my FMS, but how can i detect the client timeout ? Need code server side i think, but what
We use f4vpp to process MP4 files after they are recorded by FMS. A couple of times now we have noticed that the output of f4vpp stops at exactly 2GB.
Have others here seem this same problem? Is this a limitation of f4vpp? Is it a bug or dependent on our system perhaps?In case it matters: we use f4vpp on linux.
I want to validate the user detail screen and infrom user ifany error when he moves out of flex screen.Basically we have submit button out of flex area and userenters detals in flex screen and submits using jsp header
Now, I know if you click on "trends" then firstView "views.TrendsView" will be shown. Now you are in that view and click again on "trends" (bottom nav bar) which event will flex dispatch?
Using flex builder with flex sdk 3.4.0 if the module is remote like url...The READY event is never fired, i don't understand why.Do you get the same behavior? Original code is from url...[code]
I want to persist the AdvancedDataGrid column order for the user if they move them around and close the window or log out. I have code (see below) that works when I place the code in a grid parent container - eg, a title window. I'd like to generalise the functionality by placing the code in an AdvancedDatagrid subclass rather than each grid container so that all my grids have access to a single location when saving/loading their choices. My approach is to store the datafield names and grid name in an array and save/read to/from the shared object. and update the column order based on that order. The invaldation fails when I use the code in the Advanced Datagrid subclass but works fine in the grid parent.
private function loadSettings(name:String = "custom"):void { var gridName:String = this.stripUIDNumbers(this.uid); var temp:Array = new Array;
We tried to stream from FMS 3.5 flv files through HTTP,How can we prevent Progressive download when we stream flv via HTTP?We tried some configuration but it seems that files are always download to the local computer temp folder Can someone point to documentation that explain how to stream flv without Progressive download ?
In our company we upgraded to fms 4 and installed the apache that comes bundle up with the installation. We had it configure and now we can play videos in html 5 by using the http protocol. The question I have is, can we use https protocol instead of rtmps? I've been doing a lot of research and I found documentation that says to put a minus sign in front of port 443 (-443) in the fms.ini file in the ADAPTOR.HOSTPORT line but it also says that with this configuration port 443 will only receive rtmps connections. My next step is to put the minus sign in front of the port number and restart the server and just try to establish connection using https to see if i works.
I have FMS installed on windows server 2008. I have a large number of videos which are served to my clients using rtmp protocol.Now we have designed a new player with some controls which apparently do not work while an rtmp video is playing.
We have setup a brand new FMS 4.5 for http streaming to ios devices. We are feeding the source via rtmp to livepkgr application. Upon digesting the iOS feed via the url below, there is no audio being passed. I can check the stream using the rtmp protocol and there is audio. [URL]..
Is there any way to use an Adobe AIR application as a local http server? i.e. Adobe AIR application listening to http://localhost:8020 and I'm able to use a browser to access the application? If I can, is it true or pseudo multithreading? Is there any library or code that I can look for?
As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http?What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server.fterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
