Aug 15, 2009I'm have made some buttons (movie clip) and when I click on it, I want a file (home.swf) to load in a loader (mx.contents.loader) and I want the other buttons to do the same, all load into the same loader. I have no Idea how to do that. The way I have it set up now, the home.swf will load over the entire screen and that is not what I want. I just want the content to load into the loader and have its content change once I click on the other buttons. Here is a copy and past of that I have at the moment, I'm using Flash 8 to do it all.

Oct 1, 2007how it is possible to edit dynamic content and modify the content and save it, all within flash.I have tried some experiments in the past and have got the text to change etc which is easy but i need a way to save the content so the next time anybody sees the flash it will have the latest content until i change it again.

Html :: Css - Enable Content On Top Of Flash Content Without Using The "transparent"
Jan 24, 2010I'm developing a Flash application which is communicating with Javascript to allow more features such as custom html input etc., by placing an absolute positioned div on top of the flash application and controlling it's position etc. with Flash & Javascript.
Because these html elements have to appear above the flash content, I figured the following basic css would be enough to do the trick:

So, the htmlContent has a higher z-index than the flash content and thus it should be shown above it. Unfortunately, this only seems to work when you set the Flash object's "wmode" parameter to "transparent".
The problem with this setting is that it's seriousely decreasing the application's framerate to an unacceptable amount.
For static content this does not seem to be a problem, however for my application there's all kinds of elements that you can drag around which have to be moved real-time (while moving the mouse).
So, how do I enable html content on top of flash content without using the "transparent" wmode parameter or how do I optimize framerate when using the "transparent" wmode parameter?

ActionScript 2.0 :: CS3 Can't Write @ With Alt GR + 2 In Flash Form
Mar 6, 2009I have been developing a site in flash using external swf's. On the web site (contacts page) I made a flash form, when I uploaded the web site noticed a problem, in Firefox and Safari to write the @ I have to do Shift + 2, instead of normal, Alt GR + 2. The most strange is this: If I publish the FLA of the Contacts page and upload his HTML it works perfectly.
Here is the examples of what I'm talking about [URL] (in Contacts page), to write @ have to do Shift + 2, but here, [URL] (rendering just the contacts swf) works just fine - Alt GR + 2 to write @. I'm using Flash CS3 and AS 2.0

Jan 25, 2012I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong, but according to Adobe, this is how you use uploadFromByteArray(...) on an IndexBuffer3D object:

What I don't understand is which writing-method do I have to use to write the integers of my vertex-indexes? I've tried writeFloat, writeUnsignedInt, writeInt, even writeShort and all fails. I've set my ByteArray instance to ba.endian = Endian.LITTLE_ENDIAN, still no go.
I've made sure to reset my ByteArray position to 0 before I attempt to upload it to my index-buffer, but nothing shows up!
If I upload a Vector.<uint> instead, that works! So I know the problem is not with the AGAL shader.

Mar 16, 2010I've always found it very annoying that Flash takes over the write protection of files that has been used, and suddenly felt an urge to do something about it. I'm not sure if it always happen on all computers but at least most of the times I can't rename a folder if a fla-file in it at some point have been opened in Flash if Flash is still running. So I have to close Flash in order to rename or move files.

Sep 9, 2001To make it short. Macromedia Flash doesnt support Farsi and Arabic language BUT you still can use Farsi & Aarabic in flash. All you need is another program that called "Parspad" that will some how make Farsi & Arabic words appear in flash. To get the program go to this address [URL]. And you will find one of the best Farsi and Arabic editor with almost Hundred beautiful Fonts.
Steps in how to use the program with flash:
1- Open the program "Parspad" then type in Farsi / Arabic whatever you want
2- Go to "Parspad" menu >edit> or Highlight the text and right click copy.
3- Then go to flash and past
4- Select the text you just pasted and change its font to exact font you used in "Parspad"fonts that comes with it.. you have to scroll throw fonts till you find it. It should be about 100 different fonts that works with Parspad, but you have to choose the exact one you used in "ParsPad".

Flash Write ByteArray To File On The Disk?
Nov 17, 2009I need to write a ByteArray to a file on local disk with Flash AS3. The flashapplication is run locally (it's a projector exe).
I found the FileReference class with the save() function which works perfect. The only problem is, that this function opens a filebrowser and let's the user select where to store the file. However - i have the path already as string and need to save to this location without useraction (since i'm exporting a lot of files into this directory in one go and don't want the user to choose each one manually).
Is there a way to store a bytearray from a projector to local disk without opening a filebrowser?
I'm also using mdm Zinc, which actually provides a function to save a ByteArray to disk, but this function is for some unknown reasons not working. I already filed a bugreport, but I need to get this to work very urgently, so i'm looking for alternatives!
