Do I am able from some numbers like 132145 to make them look like that "13:21:45 Today" or "13:21:45 Tomorrow" !? I see that in AS2 this is able to do but don't know how to do it in AS3

View 1 RepliesBasically we want to be able to open up a docx file in as3 or Flex 4 and convert it to a text flow while preserving formatting, embedded images, tables, columns, etc. I know theorectically it's possible as the new Text Layout Framework is powerful enough to pull it off, but I haven't been able to find any case where someone has achieved anything along these lines except for Adobe's BuzzWord web app which does just this. Ideally the solution would be for RTF documents as conversions to RTF from anything are pretty familiar.

How can I do this?I just want to remove all those hyphens from the String and convert it to a date value.The dateFormatter function accepts only date values in the format mm/dd/yyyy. used regex and removed all those hyphens,from the String. Now in an array I have the values, 20,Aug and 2008. How to proceed after that to convert to 20/08/2008?

View 1 RepliesI have a date field in flex and have the format set to YYYY-MM-DD. As long as the user clicks the calendar pop-up it set's it that way. However, I need to allow the field to be human enter-able so they can type in a date.The problem is, most users want to type the format MM/DD/YYYY. I have a tool tip that shows the format, but how can I check the format and change it to the YYYY-MM-DD format, or do something else appropriate (alert?)?

This Strings are set as the text value in a spark TextArea. What I'd like to achieve is that
A. the text gets highlighted and
B. the user can click it and it opens in the systems browser.
Using the StyleableTextField throws a typerror on Flex 4.6. I tried the simplest HTML text like this:
StyleableTextField(newsStoryArea.textDisplay).htmlText = "TextArea <b>bold</b><i>italic</i>."
Which throws;
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert
spark.components.supportClasses::StyleableStageText@fc3d0a1 to

then I loop the array to search the data I want to return to another function...my problem is how to format the date value in array to become this format before I can make a comparison with this value....

At the moment I am trying to evaluate how costly it would be for us to build a new text component using the TLF (Text Layout Framework).Really important is the question if we can import the HTML text, produced by the RTE straight away. I know that there are some limitations regarding lists with TLF 1.1, but does it work in general?

View 3 Repliesi'm trying to add whitespaces in front of my text, but flex removes all but one whitespace from the text. So i can't format the text.
Here is the specified line:
<s:p> - Lorem</s:p>
<s:p> ipsulum</s:p>
Here its shown correctly but when running the swf it reduces the whitespaces of the second line. Of course i tried to use CDATA but this didn't work too.
Any know of a good program to convert a SWF back to FLA?

In order to package adobe flex mobile application for iOS, i need to convert my .cer certificate into .p12 format. Following this tutorial on help.adobe.com i always get this problem when executing last openssl command:
"no certificate matches private key error in pkcs12" From what i understand i need somehow to get private key, that was used to create the certificate (do i understand this well??). How do i get the private key mykey.key if i only have .cer and .mobileprovision files mentioned above?
