Flash :: Why Can't Log A User Out Of Facebook In An AIR Desktop Application

I'm building an AIR desktop app with facebook support using Adobe Flash builder. So far it's working alright, except for one detail, once a user logs in, that session stays open, even if the logout button is pressed. My logout code look like so:

I set APP_ORIGIN to "[URL]". I checked Adobe's documentation and they say: appOrigin:String (default = null) ” (Optional) The site url specified for your app. Required for clearing html window cookie. But I don't know what that means, what is the 'site url specified by my app'? Where do I get it? Sorry if this is a noob question.

I have a facebook canvas app (flash).
I have a user who is visiting the app.
I have a button that the user clicks for the purpose of inviting a friend to the app.I understand that this can be done via the js sdk: http[url].....However I am already using the facebook_as3_api, and I would prefer to avoid using multiple facebook api's. Does the facebook_as3_api have a way of doing this, and if not, why not?

I have a facebook application where the user choose 4 of his friends and then it creates a video (swf) with the pictures of your friends in it (loaded via xml). So I need to share this video on the user timeline. Everything works fine but the video is not embedded in the post on his timeline, there is only a post with the link to the page in it.The weird thing is, if I post the url directly on my timeline, the video is embedded, but not if the same link is posted via the application.here is my code called by the share button in js :

I am trying to work out an approach to developing a desktop application that would play movies, games and various flash material such as flash games and flash flip books. The movies will be in both video format and swf format, and will need to be compressed and encrypted for transmission to users and decompressed/decrypted by our player so as not be viewable by other players. The installer would be platform / OS dependant.
The player / user interface would need to be written in a 'portable' language so it can be cross-complied to different platforms ( Windows, Linux/Android, Mac, Iphone/Ipad, ... ) If this is not possible than atleast it should work on the PC and MAC. The idea here is to ideally maintain one code base so the client will experience the same interface on each platform we support.
My questions are-
What would be the best approach to develop these applications?
Is it possible to acquire public / open source code where much of the work has already been done and then add my code to it?
If open source code is available where could I get it from?

I have a flash application. One of the options is to copy a pdf onto the users desktop, but I can not seem to get it to work. I am writing a flash application that sends "fscommands" out to batch files. Currently i'm developing a facebooks apps with falsh application. i've have completed the development with all API required to run a facebook apps. Everything went well and it's live now. My question :

How can make user to go directly to the application page everytime they click the link posted by user who already use the application instead going to the canvas page applications. i'm been trying to look for the article that support saying that user will go directly to application directly to canvas application page instead of going to the application page.

Lately I've been studying (or at least I've been trying to) the facebook api for flash. But I can not find good material or code examples. I've been reading this [URL] but there I can't find what I need. I just need to make possible for new users to loggin into my game (it's a MMO - sfs 2 + as3) with their facebook accont. Anyway the problem is that with this documentation I can't find not even how to get the user name properly. I'm completely lost and don't know what to do.

I need to embed a flash application(that will access FB API from within) in Facebook Canvas page.If I use , some FB related details(like session key) will be automatically passed to the flash. But since, FBML is going to be deprecated, I want to use iFrame. Is there any way to pass those variable automatically or do I have to retrieve them in PHP and pass it to flash through loadvars?Also, if I have to do it manually, is there any documentation for the php sdk 2.1 ? I have a small problem with a the Facebook sharer.php! I'm developing a small flash application (kind of slideshow) that will be embed into different website. In the application there is a button that send a request to Facebook to share a link. So based on the Sharer.php doc, I send a request like this :

The facebook page pops out, I see the correct title for 2 seconds and then facebook replace it with the title of the current page. Is there a way of preventing Facebook of rewriting the title that I chose? I know that I can use this in the head of my HTML document :

By far the weirdest thing I've ever seen. On some machines (!) IE (!!) attempts to load an SWF file via HEAD request instead of GET. This happens only when the page is running in Facebook IFRAME application - when running solo works fine. Naturally, on FF and Chrome everything works just fine. The SWF is embedded using jSWFObject. There's no visible common feature to the machines which experience this problem - laptops, desktops, XP, Vista, 7.

I am writing a desktop application and trying to decide between using AIR (FLex) or Java.Some of the requirements for the application are: needing to securely connect to webservices and JMShave a very interactive UI (lots oflittle and big features)displaying videoCommunicate with a C++ applicationTo implement the web services and JMS for Flex we were thinking of using Merapi to communicate with a Java application. Does this mean we should probably go with Java or does the better graphics capabilities of Flex still make it a better choice?
