Flash :: Call A Dreamweaver Layer/iframe From A Rollover?
May 2, 2009
I have a flah heading with rollovers and the body of the web page is done in iframes and layers, can I hide and open layers with the rollover in the flash part of my web page
I have created a rollover image in fireworks, which works in the preview option on fireworks.I have exported it as : html & images, exporting slices. This works when I open it straight from the file BUT when I try pasting it into dreamweaver (insert -> image: fireworks html) the box where the rollover image appears but with a cross in it.I have also tried copying the html from fireworks into dreamweaver but this doesn't work. When I try this the image appears and the link works BUT the rollover doesn't?This is the code I use:
The way it works is that when menu.swf is clicked it changes the .src of iframe1 to load the appropriate subpage.html. Then when you click the subMenu.swf it changes the .src of iframe2 to load the appropriate contentpage.html[URL]..
It all works perfectly in Firefox but in IE the ExternalInterface call from the subMenu never reaches the container page to change the .src of the iframe. It seems as though it's something to do with the .swf being inside the iframe because I am still able to call a javascript function from within the iframe using an html button.
I'm making an interactive map of the U.S. The layer with the outlines of the U.S. states sits on top. It has to sit on top because otherwise the outlines don't show up above the color fills for each state. I want a popup balloon to appear when you roll over each U.S. state. However, when I turn a state, say, New York, into a button, the button layer sits below the outline layer. So when I create the popup box for the button's rollover state, the popup box is *under* the US state outlines. How can I make the button rollover state exist on the highest layer?
I have one problem I am not able to solve at the moment and probably someone will have quick answer. I have a .fla file with with several layers let choose one line...
Main Scene - Scene1 Fisrt Layer - PageGalerieVeci (instanceName PageGalerieVeci_layout) in PageGalerieVeci layer are two other layers
I am doing a site with a top flash nav, and Iframe with some flash and html in it.Is there a way to have the flash in the Iframe give actions to the flash nav??when you hit the porperties button, i want the nav to change to FOR SALE.something like:
Suppose I have three different movie clips. mc_A, mc_B, mc_C I want to have a rollover call a function that changes each movie clip. But I don't want to type it out like this:
Above you will see that I used this, it made sense to me, but this always refers to the main timeline (root in my case). So how do I pass the name of hte clip I am rolling over to a function?
I am new to actionscripts and I'm having some difficulty. I am creating a website that teaches kids about the about the brain and I am creating a website very familiar to this one, http:[url].......
So far I know how to draw and call a simple movie clip such as what you see below. What I am trying to do is create the features that you see on the above website.I'll try to explain as best as possible what I have done so far:I created one flash file and drew the background for where the text will display. Next I created several movie clips for each of the brain parts and I placed an invisible button over each of these movies. For example I told the button,"cerebellum_button" to play the movie "cerebellum_mc" and told it to go to the"turnon" label."Once it stopped at the label "turnoff" it displayed the text to explain what the cerebellum does.
I feel that my code is redundant because Im having to create a button for each animated movie clip and in each on of the movie clips I have text that will display. It seems to me that I can somehow create text for all of the movie clips in one centralized location and call each one of those text by using labels. Is there a way that I can centralize all of the text then call it? My aim is to have the user roll over the brain part, have it animate, and have it display the text to explain what that brain part does.I have one invisable
button and one animated movie that includes text. cerebellum_button.onRollOver = function(){ cerebellum_mc.gotoAndStop("turnon");[cod].....
Is it possible in flash to use an iframe? I understand that you can use a dynamic textfield to import HTML text but as far as I know you cannot import images into the field.
I have a website that I am creating in Flash CS5. There are several different pages of context and each of these pages are loaded from it's own XML file. I am trying to figure out how to add an iFrame to one of these pages. Specifically, I am trying to add the Facebook Like Box to a page and I figured the iFrame would be the best way to do it.
CS3 on a 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo Mac running OS X 10.5.8.I have been able to create my webpages and upload them to the host. They are viewable, linkable etc. Everything is working, but now I want to include some flash elements.I built a flash file in action script 3.0 and saved it in the files folder of Dreamweaver, I dragged and dropped the swf file into the design screen and saved it. I have uploaded the html file, the swf and fla files and the created js file to the host server, but the flash element does not appear on the page when I view it in the browser.
I have been using Flash for years by the skin of my teeth. I like the asthetics so I can seem to stop using it. Anyway. I just threw this website together using a flash menu at the top and an iframe in the center to change the content. I know I could just re-do the whole site and make it work but I think that I am probably missing a really simple code fix in Flash to make Firefox load the pages in the iFrame. The website is www.greathousefarm.com and I am on a mac so I did it checking Safari and it worked perfect. Than my husband checked it in Firefox and it kept opening a new window instead of loading into the frame. [code]...
Is there a simple code addition I can use to tell Firefox to target the frame?
An image says a thousand words:URL...A flash object in a CKEditor dialog is being blocked by the IFrame element. This only happens on Chrome. I have tried changing the z-index, that didn't work at all.
I've got a div over an iframe, in the iframe there's a website that contains a youtube movie. On mac firefox and safari everytyhing works fine, on windows both IE and FF put flash on top of my div.
The situation I have is really similar to google image interface, I noticed that google images manages to correctly overly an immage over a website with flash content in any browser both win and mac.
How they manage to do that? Considering they have no access to iframed page code. I tried reading their code to find solution with no success.
my css drop down menu is hidden behind a flash element I have on my site. I have tried changing the z index but still nothing. Please help.... here is the page.[URL]..
I am trying to add the a Facebook iFrame to my Flash website. Since there is no real way to actually integrate the Facebook iFrame into the website, I was thinking of simply trying to overlay the iFrame on the Flash website. This is done fairly easily from what I understand but have another issue. I want to be able to disable the iFrame when I select a button on my Flash website. Is this at all possible. Any other routes I could consider?
I have a flash video player that I would like to embed in other pages, so I created an iframe to do this. It has to be an iframe because it depends on other swf files that get loaded into it (plugins).
The weird thing is the video does not play when loaded inside the iframe, but if I go to the html source and cut and paste the tag outside of the iframe it works.[url]...
I need my SWF banners to display in an IFRAME, and after a set amount of time, they need to animate and end up behind another SWF on the page.
Currently JPGs and GIFs do this just fine, but when the IFRAME contains a SWF, it displays on top of the other SWF, not behind it.
I've already tried the following:
-setting z-index on the SWF and IFRAME -setting wmode=transparent
I know the obvious solution here is to use object/embed code in the div, but for reasons beyond my control and too annoying to discuss here, this isn't an option. The SWFs must be placed using an IFRAME. This makes setting WMODE impossible, and when the IFRAME contains a swf, the browser ignores z-index.
I'm working through Dreamweaver fairly well, and I'm now wanted to import Flash buttons I've created myself into Dreamweaver for a website I'm currently building, and it's here that I'm finding the problem. I have been to the 'get URL Function', but it says something about needing to link to a web page? But my problem is how can I link Flash Buttons to a web page, when my site is still being developed and not published? Do I have to publish first?
I made 2 websites. One in flash and one in dreamweaver (CSS) site. I want to design a front page which checks for correct flash player and if user does not has flash palyer or plug in then it will redirect the user to the html site without asking.
