I have a flash file that a customer has sent me that needs changing. (It is a flash website header with links to the site pages and a logo above. I have deleted the logo above) One of the problems is the size. I would like to half the size of the document as there is a lot of white space in the top half where I am going to add a static logo to a webpage (with these flash site links below). When I open Flash CS4 and click Modify > Document..., I can change the height dimensions but the white background changes but the whole of the flash movie is now under the document.
How can I change the possition of either the rest of the document or the background of the document to fit under my movie so that the whole document displays as a flash movie at the correct size? Another problem that I am having is changing the links in the template to the page names that I am using on the site. I don't seem to be able to even find the buttons to make the changes. What ever I do to view them I can't 'see' them when scrolling the time line but when I export or preview the movie all the elements are there.
So, Since years the site ( Its a kind of CMS ) Just worked Fine, but about 3 days ago all the flash's object's in the Whole Site are with 300px X 150px. But it just happens in Google Chrome, in all other Browsers it just Work's fine!
How it would be fixed? Take a look at the code of the object:
So ive been asked to build a page for a real state company and the guy told me it should be similar to these [URL] Ive been trying a couple of weeks so far, but i dont seem to find a way to do somthing similar, i mean, i want to have the welcome screen as those two:
- the gradient background - flash occupies whole screen no matter what size it is - gradient expands sideways infinately - no matter what height my explorer window is, gradient is always in the same position relative to top, and if i keep expanding downwards the background keeps last colour of the gradient. - the brand logo looks as if it had top, left and right anchors, and it also limitates the minimum width of the explorer window
i though of addind a 3000 x 3000px square with the gradient and centering it, but i know there has to be a professional way of achieving that.
I made a website a year back or so and I'm having to update it now. However I've noticed the flash menu I have on the site doesn't seem to appear correctly anymore when I check in on a PC using IE.
Basically in the bottom left hand corner the swf background colour should appear grey (#333333) not white. Seems to work fine on Safari and Firefox.
Im looking to make the flash file dynamic so that when someone changes the window size the flash file expands with it and some of the items contained move also.
1. I am creating a Flash banner to go at the top of my website that is going to animate the name for the site one letter at a time. I have this part of the banner completed as a movie symbol that I have added to my main timeline. What I was wonder is if it is possible to set a timer or some type of pause for how long I want it to wait before looping again? I dont want to stop the looping all together but would like to maybe make it pause for 5 minutes or so before starting animation again. Keep in mind it has to be done within the movie symbol becuase I have other animation going on the main timeline that will just continuously loop.
2. Is it possible to set a flash swf to the background of a html document? The reason I ask is again with my banner I am creating I have a menu bar that is about 3/4 of the ways down the height of banner. I want me primary animation to be able to move behind this menu bar. I realise I can make the menu straight in flash adding my links directly to it, but I would perfer to handle that in straight html or whatever if possible.
A standard Flash CS5 document with one layer called background. The document is associated with a class called 'Game' which extends MovieClip. I am executing some logic in the 'Game' class after calling an 'Initialize' method.
I want to change the background color of the document at runtime to something else (e.g., a different color, a gradient, or a picture).
i know.... this is probably one of the most ridiculous questions, and is probably RIGHT in front of my face, or should be self explanitory, but since i'm new at this and i could really care less if someone calls me an idiot, i'm going to ask...how do you resize your flash file to fit a small/GIANT animation etc?
can you change the size of a flash document dynamically or with as3 and have the browser scroll bar recognize it and where could I find any information on this
I'm working on a Flash presentation, and I have a lot of text pages with buttons and movie clips on. The problem I have is that all subheads are set to size 35pt using Helvetica Neue Heavy, but on a couple of the pages a random subhead is displaying a lot larger than 35pt (I'd say 50pt) but it is definitely set to size 35pt in the Character palette. I have no idea why this is happening and it's driving me mad.
I have a main file that loads externally a bunch of flv videos. I'm using ApdevVideoPlayer as the player ([URL]). There are no playback problems when I publish swf file. But not when I publish a projector to be fullscreen. As soon as the flv video plays, it becomes huge (kind of like full screen). I want it play in its original size. I changed the "fullscreenTakeover" to be false but was still getting the same problem.
I am trying to load a swf into a movieclip of the same size but the swf seems to be resized somehow. The Movieclip and the swf are both 300 x 300 pixels. Yet the swf loads in scaled down and is only taking up part of the movieclip.I have the following code on the 1st frame of the timeline of the container movie:[code]
I've created a flash movie using 640x480 document size.In the published SWF file, the size looked fine when the window was maximized, but I've just published an HTML format, and all the the frame was really small and tucked in the top left corner of the browser.I've tried typing a "100%" value in the Height field of the HTML file, but this just centered the animation, it didn't scale it.
Is there any way to fix this problem? Do I have to go back to the FLA file and edit all the symbols and raw data, keyframe-by-keyframe?
1. Create a new Flash document of size 450—300. 2. Create two dynamic text fields on the left side of the stage. Type some text into them as I have done. Give them instance names of titleText and contentText. 3. Create a new empty movie clip (Insert -> New Symbol). Give it a name Image holder and hit OK. 4. Drag the image holder from the library to the stage. Position it right after the title text field (refer to screenshot). Give the image holder an instance name of imageHolder 5. Now we need to create the images that show up on the right side of each page. Feel free to use your own, or use the ones that I have. Remember the location where you save these images! You will need the path when we define the image sources in the XML document.
I have seen many websites having full browser window, I have tried doing that with a plain color, it worked with horizontal but didn't worked on the vertical manner. What size should I keep for the flash document so that it is fitted in the browser sizes.
I have a swf and the background image looks bad in a monitor 1680 x 1050 , it get cutTo define this in flash, I hace to edit my image to this size 1680 x 1050, but in flash How would I define this?. Can it be done in html code?
Within my flash file, some of the layers/objects go off of the sides of the document as I want them to. When I play the file within the test movie function within flash, the file plays fine and none of the layers that extend of the document cause problems(the samething happens when I play it in flash player). But when I open the file in a web broswer the layers that extended off the edges of the document show up. Is there anyway to get rid of this without having to redo the whole file? (ie, crop around the main document size, or set it to export only everything within the document and nothing that extends off of it?)
I'm creating a Flash presentation for a client. The finished product is to be played on a projector from his laptop. His laptop has a screen resolution setting of 1440x900.Would it make sense to make my Flash document the same dimensions?
Is there a way to set the size of the fla or swf document via actionscript? The stage size and the document size seem to be two different things. What I what to do is get the users monitor size then adjust my document size to match than and arrange my layout to fill the aspect ratio of their screen. Then use the stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.SHOW_ALL; to fill the window.

I'm making a website by using the document class. As far as now everything went as planned but when I made a preloader and loaded the site swf in an html page, the site was background-less.I tried to change the site background color, the preloaders' background color, the index.html background color but nothing.
Does anyone know a way to dinamically modify a flash document's size at runtime?I have a drop down of which the item can have any number of pixels in height so it might be taller than the flash document. In this case i would need to resize the flash document and also resize the it in html so it won't be cut off.
How can I change the size of the document dynamically? The document has a fixed size and when I use the Movieclip(root).width/height I change the size of the movieclip but not of the document. How can I access the width/height of the document?
Is there a way wherein I can enlarge the document property size and force the contents to align to the center? I'm new, so I probably started backwards. I made my file with animation just how I wanted it, then realized it would look better if I put a frame around it. But, when I enlarge the document properties to accommodate the frame, all content, including associated animations, are top flush left. I need them middle center.
I am trying to achieve a flash project with a background that is required to be stretched. Otherwise it looks funny.
My idea was to create different dimensions of the background, and according to the screen resolution the visitors has, the flash document publishes the background that is meant for the visitors screen resolution.
* And, can the flash document "strech" also? So I can put the different backgrounds in the flash document, and the flash document widens so it covers the whole web browser window?
