I want the selectedIndex to remain the same. So, if I delete item 2, the next in the list should be selected. The problem is that if I delete item 2, item 3 will be selected and I have no idea why.
What I want to do is, when I select an item in the datagrid, the selected item of the dropdown should be the correct one (the one which has the field idCompSuperioara equal to the third element in the selected datagrid row).
I have an array collection as the dataprovider to a datagrid. When I change a value in the arraycollection, a particular row gets updated in the datagrid. I want to get the index of that particular row. How do I get it?
I am performing a find operation in a datagrid on one of the columns. After I find the row containing the item, I make that as the selected index row, which highlights it. But now I also want to scroll the datagrid down or up (if the item is out of screen scope) to show that selected item automatically on this find operation.
I am in search of finding a way to display shopping cart items in a flash 8 datagrid in the order it was chosen by the user & also to ability to delete an item if the user choses. Currently I have the items displaying however they are displaying in a position as it is stored and called in the array. [code]
How do i delete the selected row in datagrid, and how can i change the selection color. at present it turns blue, i want it be red on selection, and then on some button click want to delete the selected row.
How do you get the selected index in a datagrid, thats it
by the way the actual situation is that I'm tryin to show the data of a selected row in a datagrid, when a row is selected the current slide is set as invisible and the message_view slide is made visible and the data is shown in a text box. e.g.
I change an item in Spark List. The item then moves to a different index in the list since I keep the List's dataProvider sorted. However, the selectedIndex stays where the item used to be. I want the List's selectedIndex to still be on the item that changed.
I have an ArrayCollection bound to an editable DataGrid, another component needs to know when the ArrayCollection changes (as a result of changes in the DataGrid) so it can also update itself, so is listening to the COLLECTION_CHANGE event of the ArrayCollection.
The problem is that the DataGrid only updates the ArrayCollection when the row being edited losses focus. This is not good for my app as a user could edit a column on a row and not click elsewhere on the table for a long time (causing the row to lose fucus), therefore the changes won't have propagated to the other parts of the application.
How can I make the data grid inform the ArrayCollection of a change every time there is a keyup event on a text input instead of every time a row looses focus?
I have a datagrid that loads content from a database. Once the data has been loaded I have a function that has selectedIndex=0; Right after that I call another function that tries to display the selected item across a couple of labels. The problem is nothing loads in the labels unless I run the functions twice. I'm guessing its some sort of data race problem where the item hasn't been selected by the time the function that displays the items in labels runs. How can I get the item to be selected before the next function runs.
I'm currently working with the OLAPDataGrid component and got stuck at a relatively simple task: I want to style the last row of the grid differently from the rest, so my cell item renderer needs to know whether he's rendering the last row with content in the overall grid, including those rows currently not rendered because they are outside the visible grid space. AdvancedGridListData's rowIndex property only gets me the row index of the renderer relative to the range of visible grid rows, i.e. when I scroll down the grid, a data item with an index greater than 0 gets the rpw index = 0.
I have used states in my application.The thing is I have made the first item in my list to be selected. so I gave like this,
if(itemIndex == 0) this.currentState="selected";
this works fine.The problem is when other item is selected the first item does not change its state,it remains in the selected state until its clicked.My code looks like this,
Is there any way to disable a few columns for a particular row in flex datagrid?
I have a datagrid with about 10 or more columns, say for example a few column names are: Item Id, Item Name, Item Status and VerifiedState. Initially I want the column Verified State to be disabled.
Now When the value of the column, Item Status is Review Passed for a particular row, I want the column VerifiedState to be enabled and editable. Is that possible in Flex datagrid.
I have a mx:Grid component in my flex application. But I would like to resize it by clicking and dragging in the border. This component doesn't allow doing that.I want to put a panel in each gridItem of this Grid component and resize it.
I want to give an array index to array collection let say 205 when it is started is it possible to do so in flex or any alternate of this.actually I need to index the objects with a specific no, in 2D array collection
say
205 a c d g f d 268 s g h g f f 805 d g h h f f d
where integers are indexes and alphabets are object referenced by these integers
In the following working example the list's selected index is supposed to reset to 0 whenever the text box changes. However, for some odd reason every other keystroke the selected item disappears and then reappears at the subsequent keystroke.
I have an application where I'm trying to update the String for a Label's text property, based on the tab which user has the mouse over. I've constructed a simple example displaying how I would process the eventHandler function if I was going to use the selectedIndex property, however it's the tab that has mouse focus, which may or may not be the selectedItem, that I'd like to reference and I haven't been able to figure out a way to do it.
So here is the example: <s:Label id="descriptionLabel" /> <s:TabBar id="audioTB" dataProvider="{audioVS}" mouseOver="audioTB_mouseOverHandler(event)" rollOut="audioTB_rollOutHandler(event)" /> [Code] .....
I have a mx Tab navigator and added several childs...I can use selectedindex(int) to open/select the respective (int) tab but How do I know the value of a selected/open tab?
I know AS3Commons-collection framework is a good one, but it can't use in ComboBox, recently.I try to use LinkedSet data structure to retrieve and store data in ComboBox, any one can help me?
I have created some shapes dynamically at run time by mouse drag, Now i want to delete any selected item the white board.How can i achieve that.Currently i am able to delete the last drawn item through "removeChild()" method, but not the previous items.
I've got a subclass of AdvancedDataGrid showing a tree-like data structure. How can I, given the index returned by calculateDropIndex, get the item at that index? After reading through reams of code, it seems like the least terrible way is:
var oldSelectedIndex:int = this.selectedIndex; var mouseOverIndex:int = this.calculateDropIndex(event); this.selectedItem = mouseOverIndex; var item:* = this.selectedItem; this.selectedIndex = oldSelectedIndex;
The other option seems to be tinkering around with the iterator property... But, judging by the way I've seen it used, that will get pretty harry pretty quickly too. So, how can I get the item at a particular index in an advanced datagrid without going insane?
I have a menu with many sub menus. I need to change the color of the selected button and then move on to the sub menu. My menu is horizontal and now it's not obvious the path that you follow.
I have a combobox with arrayCollection dataprovider, it selects nothing at start, but i see the first object label as selected, i want to add select text, as first option that selects nothing, just to indicate that the user didn't select an option yet.
I am using a combobox for the us states, link. The label is set to the full name of the state, while the value attribute holds the abbreviation. What I want to do is to get the selected item's value. So I tried combo.selectedItem.value and combo.selectedItem.@value, but neither of them worked.
