I have datagrid with data populated.when user clicks on one particular cell of one column ,popup window has to be dispayed.And also same requirment is there for another column also.I could not find how to do it for cell.doubleclick and click properties are applicable to row selection.

I'm using Flex's Advanced Datagrid for a project and need inline comments, in a similar style to Excel spreadsheet comments.A little visual indicator should indicate if a field is associated with a comment, and on clicking on the element should open or trigger an action for displaying that particular comment.

I didn't know how to bring a link in the datagrid. So used the Text control to display the "View" label. Now If I click this item, "View" in the datagrid, I want the Pop up function, i.e.,defectCommentsPopUp() to be called.
If you create a popup via:[code]It will create a popup and bring it on top of any other visual piece. I have one problem though. This 'popup' needs to stay up even when the user interacts with the background.I would use modal, but I need the ability to interact with the back. Any way to tell the popup manager not to remove the popup when the user clicks off of it?

I have a popup that displays over another button. Most part of the popup is covering that (big) button. When I hover the mouse over the popup. the button still acts. I've changed the popup to a button as well, but the result is still that the mouse becomes a hand, which I don't want. Is there a better way to solve this? If not, how can I disable the hand?

I need to close the popup(adobe flex), non modal window if I click on the parent page of the popup. I have to do the out of focus check and then do some validation before close the popup. So what I was thinking that is there any inbuilt focus check event or do we need to create custom event for that?

Now this popup1 again opens a new popup(lets call it popup2). When I close the popup2, I need pass an Object to popup1. Which is the easiest way to do that?

When I do it it puts a 0 in that cell but I really need an empty value, like a Null or a NaN whose are going to be cleaned later with a labelFunction. Specifically, I'm displaying three phone numbers per line and the user needs to be able to select one of those numbers, from any row, but not the whole row.

I have an AdvancedDataGrid that loads data from a web service. It only loads the top level stuff and then as you click the arrows it gets that data. All I want to do is to find out if some text is in one of the cells. I originally did this:

And then it fails, because it can't get the source, I think. I am completely open to other strategies and I have been stuck on this problem for 10 days now. This seems like it would be relatively easy. I have been going down a slightly different route. I am now trying to iterate through the HierarchicalCollectionView with a cursor. This seems to work. But, when I get the node I can't do anything useful with it... I have been looking for examples but so far they all stop at the point of getting the node.

I created an item renderer for a advanced datagrid and decided to put color on some of the cells. However the result comes with a vertical gap between the colored cell ( you can notice a big gap of white lines between the red cells on the screenshot)
