View 1 Repliesthis is the error I am having:
TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter listener must be non-null.at flash.events::EventDispatcher/removeEventListener()
at project1_fla::MainTimeline/btnName()
here is my code:
ActionScript Code:
import caurina.transitions.Tweener;
import caurina.transitions.properties.ColorShortcuts;[code]..........
I am occasionally getting flash popup this error:
Error #2044: Unhandled error:. text= my code is here:
[Code]...
I'm using Flex SDK 4.5 to create swf files, recently I got the following error when try to open my swf file:
[Code]...
I totally have no idea whats going on with rsl loading step. how to solve this without have to statically linking rsl into swf file?
Implemeting RSL in Flex 3.2 The build comils perfectly but opening it shows Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type. URL:Whereas I have confirmed the requisite files are there in the folder. i.e. SWZ/SWF. I also noticed we assetCache does not contains framework swz.
View 1 RepliesI use a flex app (A) to load another flex app (B) using SWFLoader (both built using Flex Builder 3 sometime ago).Everything works fine as expected across all (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari) desktop browsers.However, if I use a TabNavigator within the flex app (B) then when you click on any of the tabs it unloads the flex app (B) and re-starts flex app (A). This behaviour appears to be limited to Webkit based browsers (Chrome & Safari) the rest of the browsers (IE, FF) work fine.
View 1 RepliesMy application currently contains a number of Widgets that are managed by a Widget Manager. When the user clicks on a widget (e.g. a Helper widget), the Widget Manager loads the widget into a separate sibling application domain with the following line of code:
wgtInfo.load(null, null, null, moduleFactory); //wgtInfo = IModuleInfo
However, I am unable to use the widget's variables and functions later on. I attempt to find the Helper widget from the Widget Manager's list of widgets, and I do successfully. But when I try to caste the Helper Widget from type IBaseWidget (the interface all widgets share) to type HelperWidget, I receive the following error:
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed.....
This is because the application domain of the class trying to use the Helper widget is different from the application domain of the Helper Widget. I tried to fix this by loading all widgets into the same application domain as the loader:
wgtInfo.load(ApplicationDomain.currentDomain, null, null, moduleFactory);
I now get the following error whenever I attempt to load the Helper widget:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
How can I load my Helper widget into a common application domain that is accessible by the other widgets?
I have a main movie timeline that loads an external swf. When I unload the swf from the main timeline I get an error from this:my_FLVPlybk.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, vidEnd);
is there any way to remove the event listener from the loaded swf from the main timeline?
This isn't an exact duplicate of AS3: add event listener to loaded swf, actually it seems to be a mirror situation with non-mirror solution..
I have a test flash file that registers its own listener at first frame's actions.
trace("it's going to be OK");
stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, aKey);
Unfortunately neither line works when .swf is loaded into another movie. Assuming that stage object is wrong for such situations, which object should be used to get listener?
Is it necessary to rewrite loader in parent swf, as said in the linked question?
I need an event listener which is global so when every content is loaded a function fires up and function places this content. I've tried
stage.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,function(evt:Event){placeem(evt, "stgW","stgH")});
but that's not right, gives me errors
So - I'm building a generic preloader to apply across my site... functionally it's working fine - but I have this issue, however, where the loaded SWFs start playing as soon as they exist in memory - rather than when they hit the display list.Because this preloader is 'generic' I would like to avoid any specific timeline control of the loaded 'child' swf by the preloader. This has proved itself tricky, and really my only successful workaround has been to set up a timer delay on the child swf that delays progression of the timeline until the preloader graphic has had a chance to remove itself (an alpha out routine). What would be perfect is if there was a way of listening for an 'addedToDisplayList' event - used in the child SWF. Note that the child swf is loaded into the display list at the end of the the 'alpha out' routine.I tried setting up a custom event to be dispatched at the end of the alpha out routine... but couldn't successfully target it in the child SWF. In lieu of a better method, this might be worth working on further
View 3 RepliesI'm having trouble adding a cuepoint listener to a dynamically loaded .flv which targets a dynamically loaded .swf. I'm also adding cuepoints via actionscript.
Basically everything loads okay but I get a compile error in the the function cuePointHandler when referencing mc_slideLoader.
Scene 1, Layer 'Actions', Frame 1, Line 601061: Call to a possibly undefined method gotoAndPlay through a reference with static type flash.display:Loader.
I'm still a rookie with AS3 so I'm thinking the Loader class doesn't have a gotoAndPlay property and some how I have to get it to act like a MovieClip?
Here's the actionscript.
ActionScript Code:
// using Flash version CS5
import fl.video.*;
import fl.video.FLVPlayback;
[Code]....
I have imported 5 images to my mc using "for loop" and have add an event listener for loading complete. I can able to know, in which movie clip it is complete. the code is below:
Code:
for (var a:Number=0; a<arr.length; a++) {
var tmc:MovieClip=new MovieClip();
thumbMc.addChild(tmc);[code]....
Now I need to know is, the name of the image which is loaded for each and every loading.
despite using ADDED_ON_STAGE it is throwing TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference Below is my code of main class and menuScreen class.
MAIN CLASS
ActionScript Code:
public class main extends MovieClip[code].....
why does flash return an error (Error #2099: The loading object is not sufficiently loaded to provide this information.) when i try to remove the PROGRESS event listener?
Code: Select allvar thumbLoader:Loader;
createThumbnails();
function createThumbnails():void
[code].....
why does flash return an error (Error #2099: The loading object is not sufficiently loaded to provide this information.) when i try to remove the PROGRESS event listener?

i am using the ProgressEvent listener just so i can get the bytesTotal.. after getting the bytesTotal, i need to remove the ProgressEvent Listener because i only need the defineBytesCount function to run once..
I've got the following problem: I have a button with two listeners: a mouseover and a mouseout. When I mouseover I trigger a TweenLite x tween that tweens the position of a textfield inside the button. It tweens back on the mouseout.
This is the code:
btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, onMouseOver);
btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, onMouseOut);
private function onMouseOver(e:Event):void{
TweenLite.to(e.target.lbl_txt, .2, {x:12});
}private function onMouseOut(e:Event):void{
TweenLite.to(e.target.lbl_txt, .2, {x:8});
}
When I am already hovering the button before the listeners are set and then the listeners are set I get this error:
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property lbl_txt not found on flash.text.TextField and there is no default value.
at packagename::Main/onMouseOut()
We are getting ready to start trying to convert our older content to AS3.To this end, I have been trying to develop what I though would be a relatively simple. It just an attempt at an adaptable mc button class that my animators and designers can kind of "plug and play" so I can spread out some of the workload.I keep getting "Error 2007 Parameter listener must be non-null". I understand why its throwing an error. simplified block:
Package{
import flash.display.MovieClip
import flash.events.[code].......
The slideshow its referring to is a something I purchased online and is embedded into my movie.Does it mean I need to put and onComplete function on the page thats loading this? Is it for the xml or the slideshow movie?
Error #2007: Parameter listener must be non-null. at flash.events::EventDispatcher/addEventListener() at slideshow_fla::TheWholeSlideshow_1/xmlLoaded() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete()
I'm having what's probably a very basic problem, but I keep getting this error message: Error 1079: Label must be a simple identifier. I'm trying to have AS navigate through a panorama I made in photoshop and turned into a movieclip (panorama_mc). I want it to move from end to end (registration point is in the center) without going past the end of the photo on either side. I also want to make sure that when you get to the end, you can navigate back in the other direction.

I'm trying to build a small game to try and get into ActionScript. This is my first real attempt at ActionScript.Currently I have an Enemy superclass and an Enemy_One class that extends that superclass.When an enemy has moved off screen I want to remove it from the frame. Here's the errors I'm getting:
Code:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at Enemy/checkHitPlayer()
at Enemy/loop()

I'm getting this error on a pretty simple presentation, AS3, CS5.TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.at paperstartover_fla::MainTimeline/playout()Situation:I have a hidden button which goes to and plays "out" on MOUSE_OUT(the function to do this is called playout)that works fineBUT...I then added a CLICK event listener to the hidden button, function being gotoAndPlay ("start")When the button is clicked, the error occurs. The timeline goes to the right frame but stops dead.I was thinking this could be because Flash thinks it should be doing the playout animation at the same time?
btninvis1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER,p layover)
function playover (event:MouseEvent):void{
btnpaper1.gotoAndPlay("over");}
[code].....
I have had a go at using event listeners. So far I have failed. All I want to do is when I click my mouse on the bird mc it moves.Here is my code:
Code:
package as3test
{
import flash.display.MovieClip;[code].....
And here is the TypeError:TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter listener must be non-null.at flash.events::EventDispatcher/addEventListener()
at as3test::movieclip()
I do have some programing background from my past. anyways, on to the error listed in the title. I thought I was getting good with the Timer class, but alas, I think this error has something to do with my Timer embedded in my switch() code block:

I have a question about AS3. I'm new to coding/scripting/AS3/Flash, so I'm sure that I am making some rookie mistakes. I keep getting the following error (I only get the error when I use the if() conditional. If I remove it the code runs fine. But I need the functions to run only under certain conditions):

i am making flash web site with flah cs3 as3. everythig was perfect but nnow codes are getting crazy. there is a photo gallery that has little picture thumbnails on right and when one of them is clicked , that photo is loaded from out of swf and appear in big size on left. today as i was fixing last little things codes gave me errors..Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type.
i changed fle types i saved pics in jpg, jpeg, bmp, png. but nothing works.
in Flex I'm able to load a Image into an Image component (mx:Image) via a URL and it will display it, however in Flash if I try to load the same image via URL I get an unknown file type error. If I browse to the URL in a broswer, I can view the image.
Code: Select allFlash Error;
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type..
image url trying to load in flash;

I am trying to make an animation with three seperate buttons that when clicked on make one set of text disappear and new text appear in its place. My code so far looks like this:
stop();
//---Bio Button Text---\
go.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLCIK, bioplay);
[Code].....
When i try to add an event listener in a class it keeps producing 1046 error - Type was not found or was not a compile type constant
Code:
package {
import flash.display.Shape;
import flash.display.Sprite;
[code].....
Atm im putting a a game i build into my main flash app.Everything works fine except the keyboard listener.unny.AFTER a mouse click on the 'loaded' swf the keys 'arrow UP' + 'arrow DOWN' start working.I created already a script that loads the listeners IF they are not loaded yet, but i think thats not the problem. Same situation.After clicking on the movie it starts to work, but apparently the listeners are already applied. All other listeners work besides the keyboard listeners.Stand alone(the game swf running by its own) the game works perfectly!btw the game is importing a main document class.
Code:
this.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN
var keybListenerLoadedUp:Boolean = false;
[code].....
