i changed fle types i saved pics in jpg, jpeg, bmp, png. but nothing works.
My friend is making a new signature for use on her forum and she wanted to embed an animated .gif file into her signature. She has no idea how to do this but it sounded to me like something that could be done fairly easily with flash and Actionscript. Personally, I have not used Actionscript in any of my projects since I bought CS3. Mostly I've just been too lazy to learn the differences between Actionscript 2.0 and 3.0, I know it uses a bit different of a syntax.
View 1 RepliesI have a flash projector file (.exe) that I need to add Code Signing to it so it does not say 'Unknown Publisher' in Vista. I read that for CS3 there is no authenticode signing. Was this added in CS4? I just want to check before I go ahead and purchase a 3rd party app like Juggler. Any software to add authenticode signature to a CS4 flash projector file? Jugglor is pretty old (2007) and I would like to know if there are more recent apps to package and sign projector files.
View 8 Replies- I create a new fla file in Flash CS5 Professional,- I go to publish settings and select AIR2 as the target- I click the Settings button on the rightThese settings are supposed to be saved with the fla file, since all of them are related to the project.Application name, icons, files to include, etc, are all preferences related to the fla file of which you are editing the settings.However, when you go to the "Signature" tab and select a digital certificate to sign the air application with, this setting will NOT be saved into the file.Instead, whenever you publish ANY air application, it will use by default the lastcertificate you have used, even if you used it to publish _another_ application.That is absurd, because this is a tab within the "publish settings" and all publish settings are specific to a fla file.

I've been using flash8 on my computer without any problems since I've purchased it, until now. Suddenly I'm getting this error message when trying to publish. It seems others have had this problem in the past but no one has a logic answer on how to fix this. I ran into a problem where I was getting a TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference while the debugger was reporting that the object was not null. Traces report that the object is null, but the variables list in debug view or rolling over the variable reported that it was populated with an object.

Error creating files. Icon file is missing.
I tried to delete and recreate the folder and pathes but the error still appears.
I am creating an application that requires a user to draw their hand signature on a tablet. Does anyone the best way to do this on Flex mobile 4.5? What do I draw on to, a Sprite, canvas?
Also, I would need to save the signature as a .jpg, could this be done?

For example, in local network, when Adobe Air is reading files from local server (\Serverstorage) and network will be in down for a second, Air becomes eat a lot of memory and it is increasing up to 1GB (while normal memory use is 100 kb or less).Just reading file with File('file path on local server'); from unstable network can cause this error.

View 2 RepliesIs there a clean and efficient way to import documents in a flash presentation?I have a big number of doc documents to import in a flash presentation and i'm wondering what's the best way to attach them. I've worked passing them to HTML before, but the doc to HTML conversion is messy, ugly and doesn't output valid HTML code, besides, it's a chore to clean the embed CSS style the conversion leaves inside the code. is there a library that allow to use a more portable format? if not, is there a clean way to convert a doc file to valid html code?
View 1 RepliesI'm loading an xml file that contains nothing more than a list of "valid" zip codes. Here's a sample of the xml:

What I need to happen is when a user enters a zip code, I need to return a "yes" or "no" based on whether or not the zip code they entered is in the xml list. So far, it only works if the zip they enter happens to be the last one on the list. This tells me that it's either not searching the entire file, or that it perhaps needs to search in a loop somehow.
Here's the code that works the closest to what I need:

View 2 RepliesI have a problem with the cartesian charts in the Adobe Flex SDK 4.5 and 4.5.1. Perhaps it's a bug, because it's not in the SDK 4.0, 4.1 and 4.6. Or it's just a problem of my code.
I made a little example project to range over series data in a CartesianChart (Line/Area/Column/Bar), a little bit like the google finance chart. When I add all series to the chart, the problem didn't occur. Only when I have multiple series and remove one or more series and than range over the data, the series data get compressed:
Chart image It seems like the horizontal axis didn't change or didn't get an update that the chart data changed, when I range over the current data.

On my network I have a couple of pc's all running a bespoke server which will return the username of the person logged in when queried.I have the following piece of code.

Now when this runs it doesn't work as I first thought. The iterations go though. the fourthOctet value is decremented. But somethinjg strange happens. You will notice in the above code that I have a hardcoded IP address in the loop. I have put this there to ensure that there is always a valid connection. So am aware it will always be connecting to 192.168.0.4.
But the connection only happens on the last connect call.
The ouput is:
192.168.0.6
Connecting to 192.168.0.6
192.168.0.5
Connecting to 192.168.0.5

I've created a fileUpload.mxml component in flex 3 which basically uploads m4a's to a designated server. The general code is below:

Everything works fine on a windows pc, but not on a mac pc. It stops at file. upload (uploadURL)(and thus doesn't trigger Event.COMPLETE).
I've been scouring the web to find a tutorial on how to implement a flex uploader, but didn't find any :(
Some tutorials just give the code and doesn't explain how to use them(sorry, i'm a newbie to flex)
