Flex :: Exclude Files From Being Copied To Bin-debug On Build?
Aug 11, 2009
Using Adobe Flex Builder Pro stand-alone, how do I filter or exclude some files in my project source folder from being copied into the bin-debug folder during a build? Flex Builder is based on the Eclipse platform IDE, this could be as much of a question about Eclipse as it is Flex Builder.
Is it possible to run the ADL without a GUI so that I can run FlexUnit tests during a nightly build? Right now, when I execute our test runner on our server (Ubuntu 9.04) it fails with the output: "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:".
I have a very stupid problem. I'm using Flash Builder (Flex) 4. My application displays a video using VideoDisplay component and some images. The video filename is always named video.mp4 and the images are inside a folder called "real/". The video file and the real folder are in the SAME location of the .swf built.
The video source in the code is set like this: videoDisplay.source = 'video.mp4';
I can use Maven with FlexMojos to generate swf file, but because I have several mxml files need to build, could I build them in 1 Maven pom file?I know if I separate them into several projects, Maven can build them. But because these mxml files have some shared functions, it's not easy to manage if I separate them.Another question is the size of swf file. The original file size build by Flex builder is about 80KB, but the file size by Maven is about 800KB. Is it normal?
I made an application in Flex 4. When I export a release build, it generates a whole bunch of files. (including the skins used, etc, etc.)How do I make those plentiful files except the container HTML file, get compiled into a single SWF file?E.g.My folder should only contain:
my_app.swf my_app.html
But my_app.swf should still run like a normal Flex 4 app, only this time, all the files, images, skins, etc are inside that one SWF file.
I have to paste the copied shape on the center of the visible part of canvas. The canvas is on the panel and panel is having scrollbar and I need to position the shape , so that the center of the shape is the center of the visible canvas.I am also zooming out the canvas and should be able to paste on the center of the zoomed canvas.
When I try to export my application to native installer with using Export Build Release, it isn't importing my sqlite database files which are in my application directory. Is there a way that I can import those database files ?
In TFS 2010 build, I have a new build and I want to call an ant script that builds Flash. How do I call the ant script? Also How can I compile the Flash directly? I've seen the Power Tools and this question but it doesn't help me as we don't have TFS 2008. I can't find any documentation on how to use the power tools except the 1 sentence on the bottom of download page saying to create your build the old way and import it (which isn't very helpful). I've installed the power tools on the agent computer but I don't see any new options in the Toolbox when I'm designing the build flow.
I just started working with ant a few days ago. Right now I have a general buildall.xml which should call each project's build.xml. Because some projects depend on each other, I need to rebuild some other projects which depend on it. This isn't a problem--I'm just setting the depends property of the target. However, ant is always building the dependencies, even when the files haven't changed.Let's say project1 has no dependencies; project2 depends on project1; project3 depends on project1, 2; project4 depends on project1, 2, and 3; and so on.I could hack a solution which looks at project K, and checks if project 1 .. project K have updated files using uptodate. If so, then run the target. This is messy and appears unnecessary.
What is the cleanest way to implement this?EDIT: So I decided to just hack in a bunch of targets, "check_projectK" where it does the uptodate checks on all of its source files, its build file, and the build files of the 1 .. K-1 projects. Due to dependencies, this is always handled correctly. However, this is still a large amount of copy and paste for a large workspace.
In flex charting, I want to draw something like "reference lines" which are related to specific series, therefore these lines are not independent series and should not be shown in legend. Is it possible to exclude some series from chart legend?
I'm trying to build a webmap application in flex. For this, I've got a fxg-file which represents the maps. It's in a also there are some elements, like POIs, text etc., in this group. I zoom the with scaleX and scaleY, this works just fine for the map. But the problem is: All children zoom also. I don't want this. They should stay the same place on the map and the same size.
Heres some code the as function <fx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.skins.Border; [Bindable] public var hoehe:Number = 1; [Code] .....
ComponentsLakwView contains some labels etc. This should not be resized?
I've got a Flex TileList which has an ArrayCollection as its data provider. The ArrayCollection is used elsewhere in the application so modifying the base data is not possible.
There are two items at the start of the collection (indices 0 and 1) which I don't want to be rendered.
Is it possible to exclude these items from the TileList rendering?
I have a flat data array that comes form a remoteobject, I want to group whatever is to be grouped, but leave single items (the ones with no common data with anything else) alone and without grouping, it's annoying to open each node only to find there's just one item inside, so there was no need to put it inside that group anyway. I can't find any reference and I don't know if getting the hierarchicaldata out of the groupingcollection and then iterate thru it would be any good, sounds like a lot of duplicate work.
Is there a way to compile SWC files in different targets (Debug vs. Release) similarly how you can compile a SWF file with the AS3 Conditional Compiler constants?
This link shows how SWF files can be compiled with predefined compiler constants:[URL]..
But I need to know how to achieve this with SWC files instead.
Note: I'm using FlashDevelop (Windows 7) to create the SWC (if that's any help to refine the answer).
Anyone know how I can do this? cus I really dont want to have that there, can I cover it?I'd also like to disable the hotkeys like ctrl += to zoom in etc...(How do I detect a zoom in, then make it zoom out?)
i am loading swf files into my main swf.and i want to add someting zinc scripts for my application.so i may adding zinc script but. if mdm zinc builded my main swf to exe, my events dont working. swf files are not loading.
I'm looking for a way to set a version or build number to match across a few files using Flashdevelop. I'd like it so that before I build my project I can set this version number quickly across all interested files simultaneously without having to open each file, select and paste the new value.
In my main AS file I have a variable set like so:
private var version:String = "1.2.3.4";
And in two other XML files I'd like to have the same version number appear, maybe like:
Anyone know how to set up a Flash AS structure that doesn't feature any code in the actual compiler FLA and instead places all code in external .AS files? I believe this begins by setting up a Manager class and then setting that as your FLA's Document Class, yes? Everything else runs through the Manager?
When I first downloaded Flash CS3 Professional, I was able to enter an exceedingly useful debug mode by compiling using ctrl+shift+enter instead of ctrl+enter. I could toggle break points, step in, step over and view values stored in variables at a whim.
I must have accidentally toggled some option somewhere, because this interface no longer shows up. Instead, the only extra interface I get is the output menu with the following text "Attemping to launch and connect to Player using URL <file path> [SWF] <file path> - 71984 bytes after decompression" and while the swf does halt if the as3 code reaches a break point, it doesn't tell me which break point nor give me any options to progress the flow (not even through the pull down menu I have to utilize in order to end the so called debug session).
Build a web gallery with amazing flash slideshows with dynamic XML files Screenshot: Attachment 72395 Features Transitions, zooming and panning effect You can choose from Random, Wipe from Left, Fade to White, Cross Expansion and other 60-plus transition effects. Zooming and panning effect is optional for advanced flash templates. XML-driven This flash slideshow are XML-driven. The XML document allows more personalized controls over the flash. Auto-playback and repeat mode The flash slideshow will play automatically after preloading, and it can repeat playback.
Dynamic customization Besides XML control, the advanced templates provide many more custom options, so that you can create slideshow that fits into your existing web design: width , height, border color, background color, thumbnail size, etc. More about dynamic customization Usage and demo visit: [URL]
I have a swf that I need to attach the flex builder debugger to. I have full access to the source code, and can make a debug build of this swf.
However, this swf is being loaded by a non-debug build of another swf which I don't have source code to, and can't make a debug build with.
I've tried mocking this up with two very simple swfs, and while it works fine when both are debug builds, when the outer swf is a non-debug build, while I can get the debugger to connect, I don't get trace messages, breakpoints don't work, and it seems to lock up the flash app.

I'm trying to build a small app that will iterate through an array of sound files to see if they are valid.I'm simulating corrupt sound files by taking .png's and changing the extension on them to .mp3 The idea is a sound will start playing and the timer will start. When the sound is done playing the next sound will start and the timer will reset and start counting down again. If a sound does not finish within 45 seconds the timer will complete, output the name of the file that did not finish, and then skip to the next file. For some reason though the timer does not reset when the sounds finish playing, it just keeps counting down from wherever it is.
I have a working TCP/IP socket server that loads 3-flash files in succession. How can I unload previous files and eliminate the garbage build up? 2-Flash clients are active, 1-the loader, 2-the next Flash file being loaded, however "the Flash files don't unload." Maybe there's a "put - kill" method or something similar to addChild removeChild in as3.
There is probably no way for this but does anyone know a method of excluding certain functions from a build by use of a meta tag and or compiler option?I want to expose some functions for testing but not have them bloat the application on production. I could create separate testing classes and test for a complier directive or option and only load them if necessary but I like the idea of having the test function on the actual object (in the class).
When I start debugging a Flex project, I have a error because some xml aren't find, so i copy manualy all the files from the project (/src) to (/bin-debug).This happen to some xml files no every single file.
