the PolicyFile's url is like this :[URL]and my restful webservices address is like this : [URL]crossdomain.xml include my flash's host url.the weird thing is flash still tried to load the [URL] like this first is right and response 200. the second response 400 .finally, the flash still told me SecrityError#2048
I get following error: Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: [URL] cannot load data from 192.168.3.5:4854. at TicTacToe_fla::MainTimeline/TicTacToe_fla::frame1() ". I tryed to solve this problem about 3 hours, but I failed I have the file crossdomain.xml in the same folder like my .swf file on the server with this content:
I'm having problems with the flash buttons on the flash website i made for a client. for some reason the buttons in the top and bottom menu work on some people's computers but on some they don't. I don't know what to do, i had this code for all the buttons,
I'm building a page flip catalogue that calls in individual swf's... everything working perfectly except for one thing... I'm trying to call in a net stream to a video object and I'm getting the following error.
SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: [URL]cannot access null. No policy files granted access. at flash.display::BitmapData/draw()
[code]....
There is a crossdomain xml file on the server so I'm not sure what else to try, Have tried all the normal checkPolicyfiles = true; etc but still no joy.

I'm currently playing around with sound visualization in Flash and AS3,Anyway, I'm using this code:
PlayMusic.as ActionScript Code: public class PlayMusic { private var sound:Sound;
[code]....
I'm certain the path to the mp3 is correct, it starts playing, but here is the wierd thing, when I'm running it I get a steady stream of these:
ActionScript Code: Error: Error #2030: End of file was encountered. at flash.utils::ByteArray/readFloat() at classes::DocumentClass/loop()
And if I just remove this line "t += ba.readFload();" I instead get zeroes (from the trace(t)-line) mixed with:
ActionScript Code: SecurityError: Error #2121: Security sandbox violation: SoundMixer.computeSpectrum: file:///Macintosh%20HD/ Users/myuser/path/to/swf/main.swf cannot access . This may be worked around by calling Security.allowDomain. at flash.media::SoundMixer$/computeSpectrum() at classes::DocumentClass/loop()
And well, as if that wasn't enough, if I try and run it a couple of times the whole application just crashes (not only the swf, but Flash CS4 too).
System info: Macbook Pro 15" 5,1 (latest edition) Running Mac OS X 10.5.5 and Flash CS4 (10.0)
So i've got a piece of an app that's grabbing the JSON result from a Twitter search, then calling a Loader to grab profile images for each result to place next to the text of the result.[code]when it's trying to rescale and draw the bitmapdata.I have a LoaderContext checkPolicyFile = true set when it loads the actual user image source, I have allowDomain and loadPolicyFile set for crossdomain.xml at URL... and I basically have looked at and tried everything in all of google and I still keep getting these security errors and not having the images shown properly.
I've tried everything that i've read, but it's still not working. I have a swf file that loads another swf file, but when I compile, I can see a few traces of the swf file being loaded, but then I get hit with:
(I'm embedding the swf onto a separate 3rd party website). If I just embed the swf by itself (without the swf trying to load the other swf) it's fine, but as soon as I try to load that other swf, that's when I get the error.
Security Sandbox violation Error #2123 (checkPolicyFile; sampleVideoAccess)The problem is not that I want to take an image of anything at all it is that I am exiting a view in Flash Builder 4 mobile application after disconnecting from the incoming stream but I get this error It looks like the slideview transition is taking a bitmap image of the "View" before leaving for an alternative "View". I use local
SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: app:/epand1.swf cannot access rtmfp://p2p.rtmfp.net/{====my developer API code====). No policy files granted access. at flash.display::BitmapData/draw()
URL...I'm trying to connect to the java server which sends back the policy data. From the IDE, absolutly nothing happens.Where can I start to know what's going on? I've looked at so many forum posts and exemples but nothing seems to correspond to my problem.the policy file allows all, the ports are open, the file and directory of my local swf are added to the trusted list in the flash global security settings.I'm using Security.loadPolicy File ("xmlsocket://xx.xx.xx.xx:xx"); with the right IP and open port which my server listens to.
I'm using URLRequest to load XML data which works well ....what i'm trying to do is force a secuity sandbox violation so i can test my code but i don't know how to test it so my question is, How do i force crossdomain or some other security error that will trigger the security sandbox violation?
I have a Flex 4 application the needs to retrieve XML from a web service and the web service does not sit on the same server as the Flex 4 application.
I was getting the Sandbox security violation #2048, I eventually figured out that I needed a crossdomain.xml file on the web service server which I put in C:Inetpubwwwroot. Tried again and all was good, it worked. But, I don't want the crossdomain.xml file to reside in the root of the server because I only want the crossdomain.xml file to affect the directory the web service is in.So I put the crossdomain.xml file into the directory where the web service resides and used Security.loadPolicyFile() but it does nothing, I get the Sandbox security error again. I checked with HTTP traffic with Fiddler2 and the request is being made successfully so I know that the application is getting the file, it just doesn't seem to be using it.
Is there something I'm missing? Below is the AS code I'm using, i tell the application to use the policy file in the application complete event handler, and i load the xml in the buttons click handler.
What I did:1) created scroll.fla of document size 200px by 200px>> exactly the tutorial posted by Jesse Stratford at when ctrl+enter (preview), text can be scrolled. It works!2) created main.fla of document size 400px by 250px>> contains a movie clip (a box of size 200px by 200px) with instance name = 'box' and a button>> once clicked on the button, scroll.swf is loaded into a "box">> works perfectly fine, except, when scroll.swf is loaded, the text inside scroll.swf cannot be scrolled.
I have created a crosdomain policy file, I have added code to my flex app, and I still get security sandbox violation...have I done something wrong? Here are my errors and file snippets:
Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: http://mysite.com/folder1/folder2/media/swf_demo.swf cannot load data from http://mysite.com/folder1/folder2/media/locXML.xml.
swf_demo.swf is my flex application
The following lines have been added to my flex application:
I am trying to call an external swf from an Android app but am getting "SecurityError: Error #2070: Security sandbox violation: " My container code is simple and it works when I call it locally.CODE FOR CONTAINER SWF calling local Hope.swf - (WORKS)

allow I am using a DROID app so what security domain would I allow if I could. BELOW is the code for my swf on a server I am trying to call:
I'm now learning about class function on AS3, and I have little problems that may appear as a noob question, but I have searched everywhere else, and still found nothing.I make a function class separate on .as file, then I call the class fuction to attached the class function to a MovieClip. The class function working fine when I tested on TestMovie ( Ctrl+Enter ) The movieclip can be dragged.but when I double clicked it from .swf file (from windows explorer) , the movieclip function didn't work at all? And it works well also on .EXE file, just didn't work on .swf file ?
I tried to build a metronome in Flash AS2 with a rather lousy result because it won't keep the pace which would have been a suitable feature for a metronome. I tried a few different methods to do the sync with actionscript. I even tried to put the sound in the timeline but it didnt work any better of course. Here is the code: AS2 with constant tempo 200 ms, based on the onEnterFrame handler, framerate set to 5 fps:
I am an action script novice, however I have just created my own custom load bar and scrubber for the flvplayback component using a tutorial but the code didnt work. I also tried this code given to me:
I am running a socket server using PHP. The socket server runs fine because I can connect to it using PHP.Now, I have a flash application that is trying to connect to it:
When I run the application locally, it works! However, when I upload it to my server I get a sandbox security error (#2048). The flash app is actually hosted on the same server as the socket server, and there is cross domain policy file in place.
I get a Flex 3 sandbox error #2048 after connecting to a Socket on a Java (1.5) server. The server code is all mine, i.e. not running under Apache. Flash Player 10.0 r32.The sequence is as follows...
1 Java server starts, listens on port 843 for policy file request and on port 45455 for my other requests.
2 Flex client served by Apache (although I get the same result if I run it from the file system), socket connection made on host:45455.
3 Flash Player requests policy file from port 843. This is the standard behaviour with the new security settings looking for a master file. It happens regardless of whether a different policy file has been specified.
4 I serve the following XML from Java through port 843:
5 The player writes the following into the debug policy log...
OK: Root-level SWF loaded: http://localhost/bst/BasicSocketTest.swf OK: Searching for <allow-access-from> in policy files to authorize data loading from resource at xmlsocket://192.168.2.3:45455 by requestor from http://localhost/bst/BasicSocketTest.swf OK: Policy file accepted: xmlsocket://192.168.2.3:843 OK: Request for resource at xmlsocket://192.168.2.3:45455 by requestor from http://localhost/bst/BasicSocketTest.swf is permitted due to policy file at xmlsocket://192.168.2.3:843
6 I send a text message from the client to the server on port 45455 using writeUTFBytes() and flush() (this is my own home-baked message protocol, and is correctly processed at each end)
REG/REGISTER;simon;Si
7 Java server thread listening on port 45455 responds with
REG:0/REGISTER:SUCCESS;simon;Si
8 The Flex client receives a ProgressEvent and the event listener I bound to the socket gets called. I process the message (write it to a text box on the screen)
9 The Flash player throws a 2048 sandbox error and the socket is disconnected! This is after the message is received and processed successfully. In fact it is about 12 seconds after. Nothing else works through the socket.
I have tried explicitly loading a policy file with a call to Security.loadPolicyFile() in the Flex client, but the reality of the new player security is that it is basically ignored. The steps are that the policy request will not get sent until a socket i/o operation occurs. At that point the player always goes to port 843 first looking for a master policy file. If it finds one, and it is permissive, it goes no further.
I have tried a variety of alternative ways of terminating the policy file and policy file contents, including deliberate errors just to see if the Flash Player is awake.I can see no reason why I would have a 2048 being thrown. I accurately serve a socket policy file on the designated master security port, which the player itself logs as correct. The socket then successfully sends and receives a message from the server the contents of which are available to my code.
P.S. Please don't tell me to use BlazeDS or LCDS or Granite, or something else as a server, I'm looking for a solution to this problem, not a redesign. And please don't ask me to use an XMLSocket instead - I tried that and get exactly the same result. I have chosen my architecture carefully and deliberately and I want a binary socket.
EDIT :In response to James Ward's request in his comment, here is the entire error message:
Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: http://localhost/bst/BasicSocketTest.swf cannot load data from 192.168.2.3:45455.
I have a stripped down test client which has a handler for each socket event and outputs a message to the screen. This is what it shows:
The close event is fired immediately after successfully receiving a response from the server, however the Error #2048 does not appear until about 20 seconds later. If I try and send a further message after close, but before the error, the Flash Player throws an invalid socket exception.
Yesterday when playing a game (Balloons Tower Defense 3) I noticed that the game started to slow down over time and then randomly speed up very quickly. Looking at the memory usage dropping each time I assumed it was the GC running.
As a legitimate question, is there anyway to force Flash to GC from, say, Firefox? Perhaps there's an addon or a command you can run that will do this? I know that you can do System.gc() but this game isn't mine so I can't modify the source with a "Click here to GC" button.
Specifically, the developer of a web service I'm trying to call has installed a cross-domain policy file on his server at:[URL] So, in my SWF, I'm calling this:
[Code]....
Of course, it's not there, so it fails to load. (If the developer could install the file at the root, I wouldn't have this problem, so I wouldn't be using System.security.loadPolicyFile in the first place). It's not just in the IDE - when I test the app in Firefox with Firebug, I can see that the SWF is attempting to load the policy file from [URL].
I've stripped down the SWF so that it does nothing else but attempt to load the policy file from the subdirectory, and it still fails. So, I don't think this has to do with any idiosyncrasies of my specific app. Bottom line - does the System.security.loadPolicyFile work? Is there something else I need to do in conjunction with that call to get it to work? Or, is there something I'm doing wrong?
Working with a SWf where it's worked all along, loading data from url...But, now, if you switch from Flash Player 10 to Flash Player 10.1, I get the standard security sandbox violation:[code]The crossdomain.xml is still in place and if I downgrade to FP 10 (or earlier), it works as expected.
