View 1 RepliesI am building a video player using FLVPlayback and some custom controls (AS3). At the moment when you click the thumb in the progress bar the video pauses and you can drag to a new position on the track and resume playing from there when you release the thumb (this is done using FLVPlayback.seekPercent()).I need to update this so that as you are dragging the video is constantly updating to the correct frame.
I tried using the working that fires on release and calling it on enterframe while the thumb is dragging and everything went wrong. I can't see any reason for this to be a problem and the code so far is pretty straight forward.
What I did:1) created scroll.fla of document size 200px by 200px>> exactly the tutorial posted by Jesse Stratford at when ctrl+enter (preview), text can be scrolled. It works!2) created main.fla of document size 400px by 250px>> contains a movie clip (a box of size 200px by 200px) with instance name = 'box' and a button>> once clicked on the button, scroll.swf is loaded into a "box">> works perfectly fine, except, when scroll.swf is loaded, the text inside scroll.swf cannot be scrolled.

I'm now learning about class function on AS3, and I have little problems that may appear as a noob question, but I have searched everywhere else, and still found nothing.I make a function class separate on .as file, then I call the class fuction to attached the class function to a MovieClip.The class function working fine when I tested on TestMovie ( Ctrl+Enter ) The movieclip can be dragged.but when I double clicked it from .swf file (from windows explorer) , the movieclip function didn't work at all? And it works well also on .EXE file, just didn't work on .swf file ?
View 1 RepliesI tried to build a metronome in Flash AS2 with a rather lousy result because it won't keep the pace which would have been a suitable feature for a metronome. I tried a few different methods to do the sync with actionscript. I even tried to put the sound in the timeline but it didnt work any better of course. Here is the code: AS2 with constant tempo 200 ms, based on the onEnterFrame handler, framerate set to 5 fps:

i use movieLoader on my main movie to call it those seperate swf.
It seem like it doens't load in the rests.
My main movie is first embedded into html.
with this code I get the following errors:
"Access of undefined property stage.

I didn't get these errors when I had the code in an actions frame.Just now that I have them in a seperate document class they come up.

I have created a video player in AS3 using some of the code from Lee's tutorials to create the loadBar and Srcubber. My video works, the play, pause and rewind buttons work. However, I cannot get the loadBar and scrubber to work.

i'm just new flash and actioscript as well.i'm following exactly the tutorial of making a media player but on the progress bar and scrubber part, mine doesn't work.the progress bar won't progress at all while i'm playing a flv file, the scrubber works only by on loading the bytes but if i scrub it, it won't work. it will just be still works on playing the video from start to finish.

I am making a player that adds an advertisement before a video but don't want the user to be able to skip though the ad. I am using the progress component and an FLV Playback component for my player. I had tried to just hide the progress bar but it looks unbalanced. If anyone has an idea on how to make it so a user can not fast forward though the ad by dragging the scrubber that would be great.

I have followed the guide at this link to create a matrix code effect. The matrix code font file is available to download from this site also (mCode15). Once I get this file up and running and understand how it works, I'm going to tweak it somewhat to suit my needs.
Iam, however, experiencing some problems getting it to work as described in the tutorial. I have followed the tutorial to the letter, but when the flash movie file runs, only the glyph symbol that I used to create the_one and one_pod movie symbols is displayed in the code that scrolls down screen. I have embedded the font the way it describes and even added it to the library and set it to export for actionscript using the linkage option. But the matrix code that rains down is still only one symbol which never changes.

I type in the server location of my .mp4 file.Now when I save it and embed on a webpage it loads and works perfect, however it is not looping.
