I am injecting two properties (question and answer) to the FaqItem component from an auxiliar file (using BabelFX) that depends on the id of the FaqItem, but it is only working when I choose the second option. If I use the first option, I get a child but with the text in question and answer fields is empty. I need to use the first option.

Oct 27, 2009I'm trying to create an HBox in flex that has only the top corners rounded. HBox (and all the other flex containers) have a cornerRadius style, but it applies to all corners. I'm not seeing a way to specify the style of individual corners.
Is there any built-in way to do this, or will I need to write my own custom drawing code to draw the background with rounded corners?

Jun 7, 2011I have a VBox with fixed width and height, and I add image objects with fixed width and height. I find that if my objects' height exceed the VBox's height, it doesn't show the object. I tried validateNow(), but it doesn't work. The object is added, but VBox just doesn't display it, so it leaves a blank with a same height as my other object.

Flex :: Change Size Of An HBox In Flex To Fit It's Container?
Jul 28, 2010I create an HBox, fill it with a grid of buttons, and set the scroll policy. When I resize the window, the stage changes size, and so does the HBox ... to a point. Once it reaches the height of the Grid it contains, it stops shrinking, like it has a "min-height". This ruins the scrollbar that I'm trying to establish in this case.
I've set the height to 100%, shouldn't it always take the height of the stage, it's parent?[code]....
Actionscript :: Zoom Effect And Make A Component Visible At The Same Time Flex 3?
Feb 10, 2011I want to introduce a canvas component by zooming from a height & width of 0.0 to 1.0. I want the component to be invisible until the zoom begins and then for it to be visible when it begins zooming.
However, if I bind the zoom effect to a showEffect trigger on the component and then make the component visible, it will first show the component at its regular size for a split second before it begins the zoom effect. If I combine the zoom effect and setting the component visible together in a parallel, it will also flash the component at its regular size for a split second before the zoom. If I make the component visible when the zoom effect starts through its effectStart event, it still does it. Does anyone know how to make it visible only when the zoom effect begins so that it doesn't flash the component at its regular size for a split second before the zoom effect?

The second level HBox is initially hidden.When I click the label, 'Show more Options', the second level HBox is displayed.Now I have the space occupied by the 'second level HBOx' empty and the 'search' button appaers below the space.My first question is, Is there a way to position the Search Button in such a way that, the space is not there and after the 'Show more Options' label is clicked, the 'Second Level HBox' appears?And the second question is, Can I position the Search Button at the center of the page. I first created these radiobuttons in mxml and it worked fine, but now that the radiobuttons need to be dynamically generated in actionscript it doesnt work.
When stepping through in the debugger I get to a binding error (1009) when trying to execute the addchild statement and nothing shows up in the VBox.
