I have a ear file and a war file, need to deploy them in two different ports such as 8443 and 5480 respectively. How to configure two ports seperately for those two files. I have no experience configuring JBoss.

I got this JVM.terminated.exit code -1 error while I am setting -Xmx2048m as maximum memory allocation. How can we set -Xmx2048m in eclipse.ini. My application throws out of memory error in -Xmx1024m configuration. So I should increase the memory size. I attached eclipse error log and eclipse.ini.

View 1 RepliesI've got a Flex application running on a JBoss server, with dev/QA/production environments. The application needs to coordinate with some other services, also with QA/prod instances. Currently I'm sending the current URL in via javascript values, like this:

I would like to know how to proceed to set up a work environment in order to develop Spring BlazeDS applications. Those server applications are meant to be accessed via AMF remoting from some client Flex application.Actually I have Maven and m2eclipse set up and working, local JBoss v6.0M2 running, Flex 4 plugin installed.Ideally, I would like to know how to create an eclipse project in which I can have both server (Java) and client (Flex) code and be able to deploy everything in one click to JBoss. Maybe there is a special Maven archetype for this setup? If not, I will be happy if someone can provide step by step instructions to setup all this stuff.

(Mostly new to Flash and AIR).What I would like to do is know ahead of time what local port a URLRequest will be using. If possible, I would like to hold a connection open even and keep using the same socket.What I'm basically trying to accomplish is doing some NAT-Traversal and port negotiation ahead of time. Once I have both the client and the server negotiated, I'd like them to connect and basically use HTTP in a peer-to-peer way to stream media, like this sample:

The problem is that I don't see this happening unless I can get some information from AIR on what ports it's planning to use. I would be OK with creating my own Socket connections to the server and using them, but I would need a way to leverage the Sound framework to stream in the same way from a socket.
I have installed and ran FMS Development Server 3.5 on my Fedora 15 x32 for a long while now. Everything works fine. However, recently I found out about the upgrades for the server. So I downloaded all of them (3.5.2 - 3.5.7)... the current version I have is 3.5.1... and it works fine. Installing any of the new upgrade versions on the server works fine... and when starting the server doesn't give any errors.
In /var/logs/messages it says:

however, checking the binding of my IP address, it shows no bindings to ports 80 and 1935. The admin server works successfully because I can see binding to port 1111.Whenever I run my test application which I used to run successfully on FMS 3.5.1, I cannot get a connection.So I was wondering whats wrong... why it doesn't bind anymore? is there something wrong with my upgrade process?? I even tried uninstalling whatever I currenltly have and installing the new upgrade... same result.
I just wrote a P2P video chat similiar to the Cirrus example application on my web site. It works great, as long as both users manually open the ports required for RTMFP. Naturally this is a deal breaker for me - since no one will use it. What is the standard solution in this case? Should I publish the instructions of how to open the ports on different firewalls? Should I write a small batch file to be downloaded that programmatically opens the ports? Is there a different (commercial) tool that allows me to bypass it in any other way?
View 1 RepliesI'm new to Flash and AS3, but with the help of many examples I have managed to created a scripted movie using some time lapse photography. I load the images from an XML file and use an event listener to add each image as a child of a movie clip. As the number of children grew, it caused the frame rate to slow, so I figured out that I could remove them after they were viewed and just keep looping through the array.
This works great on the local machine and when served up from the web server behind the firewall. However, if I try to access the file from outside the firewall, it loads the first image or two very slowly (if at all) then hangs. I've performed a net stat from the server and noticed that it is opening an inordinate number of connections to the remote client on various client ports (from 6 to 60+).

I'm working on a Flash/Facebook game. My swf and socket server are on different domains, so I have to use a socket policy file. According to Adobe, they have "filed with IANA, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, to reserve port 843 for the purposes of serving socket policy files." Unfortunately, my server has port 843 closed. I asked my server guy to open the port. Here's his reply:

I tried with flex and java in the backend. In this, I am able to upload files till 100 MB using remote object (blazeDs) where we will read the file as byte array and send it to the java method. If the file size exceeds after that, then I get the run time error in IE.

I need to load somehow the html code of a webpage A into a javascript string of another webpage B, on a different host. I know this is impossible to do with javascript alone because of the same origin policy, and I know I could do it loading the page via php on my server and then send results back to the user's client but I wouldn't be able to handle so many requests, so I need it to be done directly by the user's browser. I can use nearly whatever browser scripting language/applet framework common enough to be installed on the majority of my users' computers, like flash and java.On example, what if I use flash or java to load the external html code and then call a javascript callback function providing the source? When i make a small change in Flex code (eg, reposition of a button...anything), and run the project on server, it does make any change on output. Actually it depends on my luck... because it makes change in output randomly.what is is happening? tried rebuild, republish, clean , restart server, restarting the IDE, restarting the computer all available feature i could think. Then i got a Flex service class calling BlazeDS and executing the getCategories java method. Since Flash dosn't seem to understand typed arrays, the result from that method which i get back in flex is a simple array of untyped objects (the mapping dosn't seem to work here, even tought the class category exists in flex and has the same properties).
thats the first thing. but however, i'm converting the untyped objects manually into objects of the category.as class. the second thing is that categories have child-categories within the java object, which are also ArrayLists of the type category.java. the problem about that: my result event object only contains the first level of categories, looking into them the children are allways null. i dunno why they are empty, since they ARE part of the java object category.
and the third thing (the strangest by fast), you maybe noticed i named the properties of the category.java class strange, like idCat and nameTest instead of simply id and name. why that? because the property names of my flex result objects dont seem to change when i change the java objects properties names (result object properties are named "id" and "name" but the java class object properties are named "idCAT" and "nameTEST"). that it REALLY strange, since if i set the properties, like you see at nameTEST = "TESTNAME" it IS recogniced by flex, only the proertyNAMES dont seem to be recognized at all.
