In my project at the moment I am using Nicola Hibbert's liteAccordion slider.I have it all set up and it's working nicely but the project needs to have a YouTube video on each of the slides.I have used the classic embed code from YouTube to get the desired result, In Firefox and other browsers it's all good, singing and dancing.In Chrome, tears stream down my face as it has totally broke.

It seems that IE6 ignores the <object> tag, here's the code it embeds.

I used to use either IE or FF as browser for initial test. I recently moved to Google Chrome. Google Chrome does not give a range of errors for flash.For example the error below comes up in IE whilst Chrome simply does not work:Error: Error #2176: Certain actions, such as those that display a pop-up window, may only be invoked upon user interaction, for example by a mouse click or button press.As I was used to IE telling me this it took me ages to figure out what was going wrong.

I have the Netbook version of Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat and installed Google Chrome stable. I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash.Here is the behavior:1. YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Firefox displays YouTube videos without any problem.5. Ubuntu Lucid 10.4, with the same software components, displays YouTube video in Chrome without problems.Any thoughts on correcting this odd problem?

It only seems to be a problem on Windows FireFox/Chrome. It works fine on Windows IE, Mac Firefox/Chrome/Safari. I then populate the page with some Flash controls (in my case, I'm using Uploadify). When I click on the Flash control, I see the alert in Firefox 4. However, I do not see the alert in IE8 or Chrome (I havent tested any other browsers).
I'm using the Youtube AS3 Player API to load video's in a Flash Project. I get this really annoying Error when loading the Player swf:
SecurityError: Error #2047: Security sandbox violation: parent: http://www.degoudenglimlach.be/main.swf cannot access http://www.youtube.com/[[IMPORT]]/s.ytimg.com/yt/swf/watch_as3-vflbgr4dW.swf.
I tried adding the following to my code before loading the swf but it doesn't make any difference:

I am having some troubles embedding videos in a jQuery dialog. It displays and plays all well but it is always in front of other dialogs. When I pass another dialog over the one with the video the video stays on top of everything.

Recently I have made a simple flash application that utilizes a webcam feed and an embedded chromeless youtube player within it. I now need to make custom controls around the player but would like to be able to do that in html/css and control it with js/jquery. While I can find material helping me control the chromeless player directly ( as in solo embedded and not part of another flash app ). My question is that since the chromless player is embedded INSIDE of another flash app ( say test.swf ) can I still access the player in there from js?

I'm having issues with a YouTube video breaking a jQuery slider when viewed on an Apple mobile device. The slider uses a set width & height window that uses the overflow:hidden property. It looks great in all browsers except for Apple devices where all of the slides are visible in a row as if the overflow:hidden property did not take effect.

View 2 RepliesI created an ajax jQuery featured content slider that will automatically navigate through each tab. Each tab has some basic html. The one I used is this one: [URL]. For some reason, when I embed a flash video in it, the flash video overflows the div. It looks fine in Chrome and Safari but not the latest version of Firefox (3.6) on the PC. Is it not handling overflow or z-indexes correctly?
