Dec 16, 2011Every security setting is turned to its lowest setting on IE9. Every single Norton setting is turned off, every one. No file scanning is taking place.
Nevertheless, the scroll bar goes to 12%, sits there, looks stupid, and then the message appears "Cannot contact reliable source".
I set Norton to recognize the file as a trusted file. No difference.
Is Adobe deciding to make these downloads impossibly difficult as a business strategy? Never in my decades of using computers (I've been doing so since 1972) have I encountered such a ridiculous procedure.
And I'm supposed to pay $39 for stupidty? Why, as far as I'm concerned, Adobe should be fined for the idiocy it is doing to its customers. Even having to close the browser at the right time (I never get that far) is the dumbest procedure I've ever seen. Or is this part of a strategy to sell Macs?

Sep 30, 2011im a digital artist (beginner) and i want to make some flash animations..i downloaded the flash cs3 (after seeing some comments that cs5 it not a big deall) from adobe but when i tried to install it i got an error so i download it from another site but i got the same error after extracting the files and tried to install English:: setup has detected an error and can not continue. For assistance contact customer support Adobe im not soure but i thing that at the one i downloaded from adobe site i got something like '' can not extract files'' then got the error from above so maybe some files are missing here are the files i got after they got extracted

Dec 7, 2009I'm making a web page and I wanna include a contact form in it so I'm making it in FLASH CS4. Using Action Sript 3.0. I watched some video tutorials in YouTube in how to make the Code and PHP form. But when I finished the form on flash I published it in SWF and when I click the submit button this error shows on the OUTPUT tab:

Actionscript 2.0 :: Adding Error Messages To PHP Contact Form?
May 8, 2009I followed the contact form tutorial and it works perfectly. However, I would like to add error messages so that the user is prompted to enter information in a blank field. I followed a tutorial from this site to figure out the code (I am very new to actionscript).I've entered the if and else statements in to the code. My problem is that if when I test the file if a field is blank it will bring up the necessary error message but it will still send the email and when it goes to the success frame, the error message is still on the pageke a look at my code and let me know what I'm doing wrong?

Jul 6, 2010I have followed a tutorial for a email validation contact form perfectly (to my knowledge) but I keep getting an error when the form is filled in correctly or correctly apart from the email input:
TypeError: Error #1006: value is not a function.

This obviously points to the SubmitFunction() in the AS3 but I don't know why

ActionScript 2.0 :: Php Contact Form - Unable To Receive The Contact Email
Sep 26, 2008the source files work perfectly when I upload them to my server - but when I insert the form into my flash website - I am unable to receive the contact email at all. The problem must be with the flash file becuase I have not altered the php (except to send to my email)
I am using Flash CS3 (but publishing for action script2) I have double checked all my input field sare named correctly with var_names that match the php code. The form fields have been created as a moviclip named "form" and the following action script attached:

Oct 20, 2009I am having difficaulties getting a preloader to work when I have multiple thumbnails loading. I am trying to simply have the loading spinner movie (preload) dissapear when the image is loaded, and the image fade up (medThumbLoader)Each instance of the thumbnail is contained in a movie clip (so approx 12 instances of these) generated via xml, with the following code, I assume as each is in an individual movie clip the variables wouldnt clash: Im not sure if you can use getbytesloaded for multiple instances though?

Jul 4, 2009I'm looking for a reliable mocking framework for ActionScript. I've been using mock-as3, but I'm annoyed with what I feel is a hack-ish solution for triggering events. There are other a few other reasons why I'd like to have some options, but not sure if I necessarily need to go into them. I've also looked into Mock4AS, but the interface appears to be cumbersome.

Jul 15, 2009I am stuck in custom video player for a long time. The original example of the thumbnail buttons are jpg image. They work. However, instead of stable place of the thumbs, I changed the thumbs to swf file with motion.

Jan 19, 2010I have an FLV player on the stage. I'm setting the source (flvplayer.source) as a variable. When the proper file is in the right location it plays perfectly. I'm trying to set up an error report that is generated when the source FLV isn't there. So far I have:

Mar 4, 2011I have created a new Flash file using A3.It has a menu system which all works, I have included trace code that outputs button pressed.So the next step is when the right button is clicked it takes them to the next scene. Aug 26, 2010i have a Air Project in which i have added three extenal source folders. but when i reopen project or strat flash builder again i get icon on those folder like this but when i open the configuration for that project and try to validate the path and adding it again i get message like this but the path is valid. proof is this pic what could be possible error,,, is there any way that i when ever re-open project i get no warning and able to navigate through the linked source code. now i am doing it
1- deleting on of the linked folder
2- again adding that folder.
