I have a small ux problem with this embedded object: When scrolling the page up or down using the scroll-wheel of the mouse, it stops working when the mouse cursor is hovering over the video. Are there any html / css / param settings that I can modify to avoid this? See the site itself for a working example. I experience the problem both in Windows 7 64bit and Ubuntu 11.10 64bit so far.
I am essentially loading images from an XML file and animating them to continuously scroll across the stage. I have finally got the code working decently well, the biggest problem is a slight stutter in my Tweens. I am using the Tweener class and I am animating loaders as follows...

Do you think that the Tweener class is causing the occasional stutter/shake from the images or the fact that I am animating the loaders themselves. I am aware there is bitmap smoothing but I cannot do that with loaders.

View 3 RepliesI'm doing a project that uses a looping video clip sized 1280x720 - but I just can't get flash to play this without a stop and a jitter when it loops. I've tried various implementations of looping code, currently I'm using a very simple variant: on the FLVPlayback component, I have

I've even tried using video at the size, yet that too stutters on loop. Is there any way to eliminate this, as it spoils the illusion of a continuous loop entirely. I'm using CS5 right now (recently upgraded from CS3).
edit: I'm using a PC that EASILY should be able to run HD video, if I check the Task Manager, it's using around 3-4% of the CPU, yet I still get poor performance and stutter on loop!
When using Flash Media Live Encoder 3 to dynamically stream live video, the subscribing to it is "jumpy", for lack of a better term. I have no issues with swapping between bitrate streams on pre-recorded video, but when I use live feeds one of the streams seems corrupted. I've tried various bitrate settings and different people experience the video differently, but about half the time, one of the streams is all tiling and stuttering.
Example: If publishing 3 streams (200kb/s, 600kb/s, and 1200kb/s) and the bandwidth drops, causing a downshift from 1200 to 600, after the transition the 600 is in this weird stuttering 1 second loop and persists to do this until the dynamic stream requests a switch to one of the other streams.I've tried reinstalling FMIS, FMLE and no matter what I do, there seems to be a 50/50 chance that a viewer will experience this. What's so weird to me, is I'll watch it in 2 separate player instances on the same machine and one of them gets the stuttering on the 600 stream and the other one doesn't.
For some reason when the mask fully reveals the art, the waves stutter (frame 26) and restart their animation from frame 1. I've included a link to download the CS4 flash file. [URL]

Everytime the player loads the radio stream, it has a stutter start and then it buffers for a few seconds (how long depends on your internet connection speed) and then it continues playing. I want a buffering icon to appear during this brief buffering period. Watching the sound.position, I see that its increasing pauses at approximately the 0.4 second mark when the stream buffers.
When buffering finished it continues counting up to infinity as the stream plays. I thought maybe it would be possible to write an IF statement saying if the current sound.position is equal to what it was a second or split-second ago (i.e., it's not increasing, the stream is stopped for buffering), display the buffering icon. But I don't know how to write this IF statement.
I noticed that when programming a simple motion in ActionScript (e.g. object.x += 5) that when a keyboard key is held down to cause the motion, a stutter is created in the appearance of the movement. Is there a way to remove this or to make it appear more fluent?

I am loading a different external SWF into each one using Load External SWF behavior.Although each SWF is a different file, they are exact copies of each other (have exact same functionality); all 3 are text boxes with both scrollbar scrolling and mousewheel scrolling.Problem is, when on the stage at the same time, they all three respond to mousewheel scroll at the same time. I need them each to respond to users' mousewheel scroll only if the mouse is over the respective area (so that way they don't all scroll at the same time).The file was developed for me and the developer is not available at this time.

I wrote a short AS program to create a tileList and it functions fine, but I need to be able to scroll the list of pics according to the position of the mouse with out actually moving the scroll bar.... example of what I mean: the farther to the right mouseX is on stage, the faster my tileList scrolls to the right, if mouseX moves to the left of the stage, so does the scroll bar...Here`s my code so far:

scroll pane loads scroll bars for the movie clip as soon as it loads the movie clip, so there is no scroll bars the movies height and width are one, but after its loaded it changes its size to bigger than the scroll pane, but the scroll bars dont show up because of the size of the movie clip when it was first loaded, can anyone help?
