For example, I would like to drag the object from the top left corner to the bottom right corner, in one straight line.
I tried to rotate the bounds rectangle, but it seems that you can not rotate a Rectangle.
How do I drag an object in a non-vertical (or non-horizontal) line?

I have a Spark horizontal group (s:HGroup) in Flex with a specified width.But all labels outside the group are hidden (after the 100 pixels).

(this is an example, I'm adding elements to the HGroup in Actionscript, not knowing how many) So how could I wrap the elements inside a HGroup to a new line when there is an overflow?

View 1 RepliesIn my flash page I made, in the right side, a horizontal infinite menu with a magnifying glass that has the same effect. This clip is made separately and is loaded into the page by an empty movie clip. All works well when is not in the page, but when it is loaded the lens is not moving. I figured out this problem putting this AS into the empty movie clip:

But another problem appeared. Wherever I use the mouse, the lens are acting as if I am manipulating it. The lens are moving according to the position of the mouse. What can I do?

I want to zoom in and out, by setting the minimum and the maximum attribute of the dateTimeAxis with a slider. I have a Flex Column Chart that has a range of 0 - 6 on the y-axis. I have added the following block to change the default colour of the horizontal grid lines to black.

This works fine for all but the horizontal grid line at the top of the chart (at y=6). If I change the maximum value for the y-axis to something different then this new max doesn't have the formatting applied (but all the others do).
how do I get the top line to be black like the rest of the grid lines?

I don't know how to update the candle graph in real time (using Ajax?), and is it a good way? I use Python a lot. But I cannot find tools as easily to use as OFC.

I don't think there's a way to do that with the animation tools (I'd like to give it a go, but I have no idea, once I've drawn a line and converted it into a symbol, how I could access the anchor points and whatnot of said line to then do some funky stuff with curveTo, or whatever better solution is out there...

It is the purple line. As you will see the creator has a purple line doing several movements. I only need to know how it is done. Like this example mine will have an image as a background. View 1 RepliesI'm currently learning Flash (CS4, AS3) and am creating a game. I have currently 1 flv file with 4 scenes, I then move from left to right and then to scene 2 and go from left to right. This is the game where items pop up that need to be clicked on and you get points.
Is there any way I can combine these onto 1 scene? Flash only allows you to have a maximum of 2880px wide.The reason for this is the transition between the scenes is RUBBISH and that my AS is not working correctly in between scenes (it loses values).

View 14 RepliesI really like the text effect Pom used in the footer contest, and would like to use the same grid-type method of creating mc letters but with a different effect. i understand how to change the parameters and shapes of the letters, but can't seem to figure out which piece of code is purely for the explosion effect. basically, i want the letters but with the 'Repel' effect from[URL] here is Pom's AS:

It's a bit of decoration to go behind a logo. When the dMove var is commented out I get the appropriate line of squares fading in and out at random spots along the x = 78 axis, but when introduced nothing appears at all...

I'm trying to work out how to create a simple demo that works as follows: A ball falls from the top of the stage.Player is able to draw a line anywhere on the stage. The ball will bounce/roll along the line such that the player can guide it at will. I don't think the coordinate rotation will be a problem for me but I can't figure out how to transform a line drawn by the player into a hit detectable sprite -- or realkly any way that I can get those line coordinates into my coordinate rotation routine. To keep it simple, I'm just working on the first part of the problem, getting the line to where I can hit test or know its position.Here is my code so far:

It always traces 0,0 instead of my current line coordinates - and even those I don't think would be sufficient.
in Flash CS4 I have static text like: Line1 and line2 It's in 9 point Arial Regular as a device font. If I set the line spacing below 3.9 the second line dissappears from the compiled SWF file. It still shows in the FLA file. The same thing happens at 6pt but NOT at 5pt or less.
