I am trying to create a vertical scrolling gallery. In the past I've created a horizontal scrolling gallery but can't figure out how to switch the horizontal scrolling gallery to a vertical scrolling gallery. I know I need to change the positioning of the movie clips from horizontal to vertical just not sure what to change in the code.
what I would need to change in order for my horizontal scrolling gallery to become a vertical scrolling gallery?

My flash movie is being hosted in an iframe that is outside of my control. I have a combobox in my flash movie and whenever a user moves their mouse inside of the combobox and scrolls the mousewheel, It should normally scroll the combobox only. What is happening is that when the mousewheel is used, the outside host page scrolls vertically as well

View 4 RepliesI have a mc (fStrip) which looks like a piece of filmstrip with thumbnail images in it. I want this mc to move when the users mouse is positioned over it, but I only want it to move only along it's x-axis and in a direction opposite that of the mouse. And I want it to move or flow smoothly.

Im looking for a quick solution (if its out there) using the autohide feature using the FLV Playback Component.
Current situation: Using ActionScript 2. The FLV component fills the stage. Autohide is set to true.
It looks to me that since the video fills the stage, the skin will not hide. What I would like to do is have the skin fade out if the mouse doesnt move for a certain period of time.
I dont know if it is possible, but I need to disable reaction on mouse.
Here is the example. Dont worry about the second snowboard. If mouse remains on the first, movie still replay over and over. How do I stop it?

I'm trying to create a vertical auto scroll. The idea is to move up or down the image gallery when the user passes the mouse over a mask movie clip. Problem is I'm not sure how to determine the right coordenates form this movie clip. Let me explain, I can imaginary divide this movie clip in half. Top half let me move the gallery to the bottom and bottom half let me move the gallery to the top. It will be great if some easing could be added in the process.

Basically, my problem is that i've got 15 buttons labeled Channel 1 to Channel 15, but when the page first loads up, it skips down showing the very last button at the bottom, rather than the very first button at the top. The top button is off the screen.

Coworker is developing a Flash project and has a small dynamic text field inside a movieclip. Imagine the text field being 200 pixels wide by 50 high, and sitting at the top of the canvas. As she moves her mouse around the LOWER part of the canvas, directly 'under' the text field, her cursor changes from the standard arrow, to the vertical bar (that is used for text selection). This is inexplicable and odd and is also interfering with her ability to do other things in the project. Has anyone seen this behavior? She has turned off 'Selectable' for the text field but that doesn't help things.

Ok, in the "fla", you will see a circle who rotates versus mouse movement (I would like to make a delay rotation for a smooth feelling when mouse is moving, those like "_x += (_xmouse/5)" but with rotation. Other thing I would like to do,is... that the movement stops progressively a few degrees before the mouse reach de cian angles(a1,a2), and then, the circles doesn't move if the mouse is moving under those angles, like a... an inactive area(U1), and if it could work with instances.

I'd like to control a mc movement on_x direction (or _y) when the mouse mouves horizontaly (or verticaly). So when I mouve the mouse to the right the mc mouves to the lefht and it mouves to the right when the mouse moves to the lefht. It's for a window effect.

I've been trying to use the mouse for movement but have only met with frustration so far. I can get the movement to work but then the object collision on the tiles doesn't work or vise versa.

BUT, it only works if the code is applied to the first frame on the main stage.How do i make an Mc, inside another MC (ex: Stage ->Mc1->Mc2), scroll when i move the mouse?
