Nov 6, 2011Is Flash a part of Captivate or do I need it to be able to put interactive quizzes into a document. It sort of sounds like Captivate 5.5 is all that I would need. My basic task is to take a PDF file and/or a MS word document and add interactive quiz questions to the document. I don't even need to record them to a database. I have been trying to learn what a bunch of these Adobe products are and what they do and don't do for over a week and finally I got some real help in this forum this morning.

Apr 8, 2012I've created numerous games which load and unload off a main menu.The player enters their name on the main menu before playing any games and when the player completes a game I want to save their time (taken to complete the game) and unload this time back into the main menu.Is there any way of saving the times using AS3 to a word document or something like this? I can't send the times to my website with php because the games will be used within a competition and it all needs to work with the internet.

Nov 16, 2010I have a SWF file in Dreamweaver. It's a photo gallery and one of the options available to click on the gallery is "Full Screen". When I play the file in Adobe Flash Player 10 the Full-Screen option works fine, but when I have the file embedded in Dreamweaver, when I preview the page, for some reason the Full Screen option doesn't work and nothing happens when I click it. ActionScript 2.0 :: Resizable Document And Background For Different Screen Resolutions?
Aug 23, 2010I am trying to achieve a flash project with a background that is required to be stretched. Otherwise it looks funny.
My idea was to create different dimensions of the background, and according to the screen resolution the visitors has, the flash document publishes the background that is meant for the visitors screen resolution.
* And, can the flash document "strech" also? So I can put the different backgrounds in the flash document, and the flash document widens so it covers the whole web browser window?

I am now trying to enhance some of the features.I would like to see if I can display one letter of each word so the Player has a hint. Think of this as a beginners level.The words are random from a text list. Either I can make the letters invisible and the game starts without a hint or I am able to select a letter using charAt() or creating a new variable substring()from the word which is the displayed repeatedly on the stage(not what I want) I have not been able to find a way to display one letter and display it in the correct order within the word and keep the remaining letters invisible.

ActionScript 1/2 :: Preloader Not Displaying In Simulate Download - White Screen?
Sep 1, 2010I followed a tutorial on gotoandlearn.com and followed it to a "T," yet cannot troubleshoot this myself. I built a simple preloader in AS2, but when I simulate the download for a Flash website in Adobe Flash CS4, all I see is a white screen, then it continues to the website. I previewed the bandwidth profile and I can see that it's working it's preloading magic; I just can't see the animation.
I looked through numerous forums and I am not using an components that are exported to the first frame -- at least that I know of. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Professional :: Video Displaying Full Screen, On A 1920x1080 Resolution?
Sep 15, 2010Video Displaying full screen I imported a video, which i have generated using the Adobe Media Encoder (size of the video 1080x450px). I am creating a 3 page slide show for an HD TV with a native resolution of 1920x1080px.
I have a new Flash file with that very stage (stage of my file is 1920x1080px). I placed a logo and then the video, positioned these two elements on the stage the way i wanted them and am trying to output them.
Issue: When i run the SWF file (which includes the video and the logo at a stage size of 1920x1080), the video takes up the whole screen with black lines above and below it. It almost feels as it is replicating a widescreen.

Apr 1, 2003I am doing drag-the-word quiz. When you match the word with correct part, the message pop out, saying Bingo! If the word is matched with wrong part, the "Sorry. Try Again" message pops out, says "Sorry. Try Again". I managed to make the "Sorry. Try Again" message disappear. However it dun work anymore after that. Sometimes it is quite funny. When I play it, the "Sorry. Try Again" message dun pop out at all.
Another problem - I am not sure how to make the word fit into the white box. I only know how to make the word drop on the white box. Can you tell me how to do it? I will be adding voiceovers to the quiz when the word is matched with the part. For e.g it will say "bingo" or "Sorry. Try Again". How to attach the voiceovers to it?
