would like to know the AS code to load an external video, say quicktime or something else, into a specific frame of my fla.... and have it visible in the website.
I'm thinking of putting in videos that are 792 x 396 pixels... What I would like to know is can an acceptable quality be viewed at this size keeping actual file size of the video as low as possible. The videos are basically monochromatic for the most part... are of me sketching on paper ... and my have some images displayed with voice-over...oh yeah.. the videos will all have a constant narration. Total video time (30 sec to 1 min)
I'm using swftools and the jw media player in Drupal. The vids are coming in from another server. The generic player was set to be the default. The generic player only has autoplay which we do not want (that's all we want to change). I tried Flowplayer3 but it supposedly doesn't work with xml. I'm trying jw now, and can get the player working, but it has a skin I don't like (it also won't play the xml-called vids) and I think the skin is coming in from the other server with the videos as it looks too good to be the generic player skin. So in summary, I need to keep the skin and just turn off autoplay somehow. I've read something about Flash doesn't like to pass xml between servers. but if that's the case then how come the videos played with the generic player?[code]...
I have 3-4 3 sec flv files and I need to play them multiple times I dont want to import the flv's and I cant load them dynamically everytime. can I load them at the beginning of my swf ONCE and play it anytime I want ?
I make my base swf in which I load external swf's. In my base swf I have mp3 player. Everything works fine until I need to load external Video gallery or mmedija.swf. In video gallery I have
I want to load 2 different elements on my flash video:First is a dynamic photo (I take the specific number from an external variable)Latter is a swf video... I saw that I need a loader and I can load everything.. but how many loaders I must have? Can I use only one changing the function called on end event?
I have a SWF loaded via a "swfobject.embedSWF()"I use Javascript's methods to pass calls via the flash APIs:call.player.sendEvent('LOAD', theFile)Using a XMLHttpRequest() call via GET to a PHP script I get a file url:Typing the URL into my browser starts the file, but passing the variable to the sendEvent() call does nothing. Why?
var response = http.responseText; loadFile(response); player.sendEvent('PLAY');
I am relatively new to flash, xml and php. I am looking to load a video which the url is stored in a mysql database into flash.I have stored the video url into the database.But how do i display it in flash?
I am trying to load video in to flash. using progressive download... From what i googled It was said to follow the below procedure Import video -> select already deployed on a web server -> add video url it creates a FLVPlayback component Is this the right way? I have done video loading using NetStream a lot of time considering this method as streaming, though i am not sure if what this type of loading is called..
I need to load dynamiclly video in flex video player on the web,I'm using standard video player component,when page load a want to load a video in it.I'm not flex programmer
I used AS3 to successfully load a web-hosted video file when I tested my app. within Flash CS5. However, I published as a Windows projector EXE file and the web-hosted video won't load from within Flash Player 10 running the EXE.
I am creating a Flash site for a client who wants to display many (about 15) fairly hi-res photos as well as a video. I am using the Video class to display and control the video, and the Loader class to load the photos. I preload them from an XML file up front, while "loading..." is displayed.
The video plays immediately after the loader finishes, and the user can also choose to view the slideshow, which has left/right arrows which show each photo with a simple fade tween between each one.
The problem I am having seems to be that when all these assets are loaded, the video and the "fade" effects are very choppy. If I cut down on the number of photos, everything works fine; but I have to include all of them, plus the video.
I am storing all the Loader instances in an array, and when they are requested, I add them to the stage and fade them in. When it finishes fading in I remove the previous one from the stage. So they are all stored in Flash's "memory", but there is only one Loader or Video instance on the stage at any given time. Is there a better way to handle this? Perhaps some way to cache the images but not bog down Flash's memory? I would prefer to have everything loaded up front in order to avoid needing a "loading..." for every slide.
We're putting together one of those "greeting spokesperson" videos for our website. The video is about 30 seconds long, and on the first load, it always disappears in the middle of a sentence. Refresh the page, and it works fine thereafter. The video plays through a FLV Player inside a SWF. The SWF is 695 frames long and has the following characteristics: 'fade-out' alpha tween starting at Frame 685A Stop action at the very last frameThe following code on the FLV player:
on (complete) { getURL('javascript:removeIt();'); }
I am trying to simply load and play a simple video clip using as3 code only no flash studio as3 authoring. I have not found anyone that knows how to do this with only as3 code. This is a flv video file. I just need a starting point in AS3. I need only the the as3.
I am testing a flash to run video on my web site [url]... it loads the skin but not the video. I have tested the page in a browser from my computer and it works but it does work when loaded from the web. When I test the page on my computer in internet explorer it gave a blocked content warning but worked when I allowed blocked content.?
Has anyone seen a Flash video player out there that will load and play two videos at the same time, such as for comparing videos? A potential client is looking for something along the lines of this. I've not been able to locate anything out there,and I'm wondering if there's a usability reason for this...Obviously, you wouldn't want the audio playing for both at the same time, and the bandwidth issue for something like this might be a concern too. My feeling is that you wouldn't want to restrict a user to just playing both videos at once, but give them the option to play them separately or at the same time, with controls for each audio and playback.
I just created a basic flash file to play a video on my web page and it's taking several minutes to load before it starts playback. I'm using progressive downlaod and the file is in *.mov format and is 84MB in size. At first that seemed large to me for web play back, but I thought it could handle it since I thought the way progressive download works is that it would start playing the first frame right away and progressively play other frames as they download. However, this seems to be downloading the whole file first (or a major part of it) before starting any playback at all.
Is there some kind of setting I'm missing or is my understanding of the download incorrect and the file size is too large? Some vitals: I'm using Flash Pro CS5 - To create my flash file, I used the standard import video wizard and selected the a file that is "on my computer" and "load external video with playback component" and then, I selected one of the standard skins.- To deploy the vidoe on my webiste I have three files:
1) swf file containing the FLV component
2) the swf file related to skin
3) the actual video (84MB, mov file) - Web page includes/embeds reference to swf file
Recently i have visited so many video enriched flash site like this one [URL] Most of them shows video in full size. I downloaded the video using FF plugin. Video framesize is very small compared to the stage size. When i tried to add video and resize the video acoording to the page size , it slows the browser. I tried to embed the flv inside an swf and loaded the swf using normal loader and plyed it.. but the quallity and performance comapred to these site is very low..
I made a video in After Effect and export it to flash as a FLV video.. and write de code to load it into flash.. but I need it to loop.. Here is the code
I have a an unobtrusive flash video looping in the background of a website, it is not essential to navigation - it is purely cosmetic.The flash video loops every 30 seconds.As this video is on all pages, it jumps back to the start when a new page is loaded.Is there an actionscript / javascript way to get it to remember the position it got to on the old page so it can start there on the new page?I do know that this can be accomplished by loading the flash movie in a frame as well as by having the subsequent pages load the contents in AJAX but I was hoping not to go down this route.I have seen other people ask the question and allude to the solution but they only posted that they got it to work without saying how.
I'm a PHP guy and know very little about Flash... I've got a few videos that I've run through Adobe Media Encoder, uploaded to my server, and imported into Flash to add a preset playback control skin. They're working well enough, but I would like them to start in the paused state when the page loads rather than just playing right away.
how to do a load bar for video, equal to that used on I can do a preload bar, but i want it to play the movie while downloading, and to insert a stop and a play button on it too.
i want to know if it is possible to play a video via flash player, when the video is located on different server's mysql. for example: i want to play video on [URL] which(video) is located in [URL] mysql
