I am creating website for our company which uses intranet. We require the best quality website with high resolution pics. When I published it using FLASH CS4. It looks like low quality pics & even the whole .swf file looks low quality movie.

Currently one of our teams suffers from a very strange phenomena: after manipulating the z property of a MovieClip and changing the stage quality some event listeners of nested MovieClips seem to disappear (or at least not react to the proper events any longer).
The problem also only appears when doing both, changing the stage quality and manipulating the zproperty.
Here is a simple class demonstrating the issue:

Why is it that the flash animation is so slow to upload to the site...Is this something I need to do or something to discuss with the server folks at Godaddy?
View 7 RepliesI'm using AS3 and Flash Cs5 and trying to make an opening door effect for a flash website.I used this code which seemed to work:

But now none of the actions on frame 6 will work now. Its like something in this codeis preventing actions from working in the goto frame. Ive tried stop(); and gotoandplay, and nothing seems to be working.

The html files are supposed to load in a separate browser window for each html page assigned to each button. View 2 RepliesI am trying to create a flash website with the graphic of a lotus petal opening and the opening being reflected below as if in a pond of water. So I managed to get a ripple effect and a reflection effect from this site. Can anyone assist me in thinking this through so I can combine the effects into the desired result? As it is right now, I have 3 big issues. First off, I can only produce 1/2 a reflection. I believe it has something to do with my mc not being made at 0,0. But I did remake it to be at 0,0 on the finishing frame so I am not sure if this is the cause. #2 is that the text of the button is not reflected. And #3 is that the reflection is separate from the ripple effect. I want the water to cause the reflection to ripple as well (tall order??)
View 4 RepliesThe video gallery on my website uses an an FLV video gallery downloaded from Adobe. When I encode my Flash files to Quicktime then to FLV they look perfect but once uploaded onto my site and played back through the gallery the quality suffers, especially text which loses it's vector crispness.Url...The videos are under 'portfolio' the best example of my problem is the INTEL video 3 rows down, second left, text looks rounded when it should be sharp.I have run the videos through Adobe media encoder and After Effects and again whilst looking fine when played locally they degenerate once uploaded.

The 5 menu names are inside the same movie clip called Menu01. however its the same movie clip in each place of each menu so when i go to edit in place each menu comes up with home. I'm just checking the swf in Flash CS5 using ActionScript 3, publishing with command+F12 (key command on Mac OSX), but that alone should work right without exporting? And to go a little off topic, could someone kindly tell me how to embed the swf as HTML code, as I'm trying to setup this swf as an intro to my website and need to embed it as HTML for my index.html page.

I Google'd and searched these forums but had no luck finding any definitive explanation if these two settings are equivalent. Can anybody enlighten? View 2 Repliesam i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything

View 1 RepliesI have a flash presentation thats for a supermarket TV screen. Its big in file size 9.6MB. When I go file/export/export movie to quicktime and use the animation settings the file plays but leaves trail lines behind, skips frames and looks crap.
The quicktime settings I've used are either:
Animation
Quality Best
Millions of colours
All Key frames
24fps
or
DV - PAL
Frame rate 24fps
Quality Best
I need it to look high quality but I am not sure what settings to use.
