ActionScript 2.0 :: Send Info To GetURL?

I have a get url code to activate a lightbox which works perfectly.
ActionScript Code:
sample_link.onRelease = function () {
getURL("javascript:openShadowbox('ww.example.com/video.flv','Player',Title','videos','640','360')");
}
I have several different videos I want to lightbox. Rrather than having several instances of sample_link for each video; I want just once instance, where the getURL is changed by a separate button .
ActionScript Code:

I am trying to get a .asp example file from an actionscripting book to work, but it keeps telling me that there is an error trying to open the .asp page on my server.I uploaded the .asp file, and the access file onto my server, but it is not communicating.Are there any browswer settings or web-hosting settings I should be aware of before I try to send and receive information from a database? Also, I eliminated one variable. In another document, I was able to pull information from a text file from my web server without any problems.

I have a Flash form sending variables to an ASP script (bono.asp) in order to print a discount bonus. The bonus grafic is then shown in a new window for the user to print with his/her data on it. (name, address, etc). Well, the problem is that it not only opens a new window with the bonus (without the data ), it also opens the bonus in the current window (with the data), forcing the user to "go back" to the flash website and loading the entire animation again. I have a submit button created in an Actionscript file. I want to send data when user clicks the submit button(never mind how the data is sent-I just need to check the event listeners). I tried placing an event listener for the button in the AS file like so: I'm getting an error about undefined method,blahblah so I tried going through the main timeline. Go to frame 146(labeled "this"). myform creates instance of class formtest; subbtn is the name of the button created in the formtest.as file. how the heck do I remove this form when user exits frame?

I'm trying to finish off a Flash menu that was done for my website & I'm a bit stuck - New to this game. Basically I have a menu made up of 5 items, each item leads to another list which has a "datefield", "nemericstepper" & "order" button. what I am trying to achieve is when the "order" button is pressed the "date" & "number" information is sent to my existing order page, customers details are then entered in the required fields & this is sent including the "date" & "number" via my existing PHP script to my email.

I have some scrolling content (info). I've also made my own scroll bar.I want the scrollBar dragger to be positioned in relation to the info._y as the user scrolls info.I have created two vars: one that worsk out where info._y is as a percentage and the other that works out where the scroll._y dragger should be as a percentage...

also onMouseWheel working too.I need a small bit of code that takes the % of info._y and moves the scrollBar dragger to the same % but in relation to the Stage.height...so if projectGalleryPercent = 50%, make dragger._y 50% of Stage.height using scrollBarPercent.

I am actually discovering Classes.I try to make a class that reads out an XML file and than converts it into arrays.the array is well created in the class file, but I can't send it back to the swf correctly: it only duplicates the first item of the array in an infinite loop, but when I trace it into the class the output displays it right..

a week ago I bought the following monster template template:[URL]..my last changes to it were to the popup boxes that appear on the SERVICII page when you click those titles there. Right after those changes it compiled and published, everything ok, i did several other tasks in Photoshop then back to my flash and at the next recompile, Error - Send don't send Flash has to close. I reopened it and it keeps closing forced. I tried undoing my steps but nothing worked. I am desperate, the project is due completion on saturday and my source is messed up.
Can anyone tell me why I get that? Has anyone been in a similar situation.I am a flash newbie, I saw no errors in "Compiler Errors" or in "Output", just force closing the Flash CS3.

I've created a 'flashvars' tag in my embed code (aid=test), which I simply wish to add to the end a GetUrl statement, contained in within a button (which is on the first level of the flash movie). This is the code I've added to the button...
on (release) { getURL("http://www.platinumselect.com?id="+aid);}
But this doesnt seem to work!? Is there anything else I need to do?

I am customising a Template Monster template that has a flash menu.When I changed the getURL code (using AS2) of my flash menu buttons they work for an external URL but do nothing in my site. EG.THIS WORKSgetURL("index.html");THIS DOESNTI have everything in the same root folder and the animated menu bar works perfectly in-situ, just wont go from page to page.
