When the "Order" button is pressed the info is send to php file which sends info to the owner e-mail address, so he can review the order and confirm it. Basically I have a menu made up of 5 items, each item leads to another list which has a "datefield", "nemericstepper" & "order" button. what I am trying to achieve is when the "order" button is pressed the "date" & "number" information is sent to my existing order page, customers details are then entered in the required fields & this is sent including the "date" & "number" via my existing PHP script to my email.

I tried placing an event listener for the button in the AS file like so: I'm getting an error about undefined method,blahblah so I tried going through the main timeline. Go to frame 146(labeled "this"). myform creates instance of class formtest; subbtn is the name of the button created in the formtest.as file. how the heck do I remove this form when user exits frame?
View 2 RepliesI'm doing my final year uni project (1 week left) and having trouble with some actionscripting and xml.Basically I have all the usual AS coding sorted out for my XML data and it's working fine but what I want to do is replace the xml file with another xml file depending on what button (I have 25 different files/buttons to do) is pressed.
So button 1 will put in: xmlFile.load("button1.xml")Button 2 will replace the above scripting with: xmlFile.load("button2.xml")
Is this possible? I don't want to create 25 instances/frames of the full xml text as the xml datat is displayed on an animation and it would significantly increase the file size.
I am working on a projects showcase page. I don't quite understand how to break up all the info in XML in order to bring it into Flash. I have played around with a bunch of tutorials and samples but none go this deep.... I have 5 categories. In each category there will be a number of projects.
Each project has a description, title, subtitle, and its own image gallery. There needs to be a thumb, medium size, and large size for each image. Its the fact that there are multiple categories, multiple projects and multiple images along with a few individual facts. I am almost considering making an xml file for each category, but that seems silly.

I am using loadMovieNum function to load another SWF file when a particular button is pressed. I have also provided Home button for user to unload movie loaded using button press event. However, when the movie is unloaded the background letter and even the button texts become blur.

This causes a mc to fade in and out on rollover/rollout. But what I wanna make is a box that fades in when pressed on the button and fade out when pressed for the second time. But if I say

the mc fades in, but I cant do another on (press) to fade out. Is this too confusing?
Im trying to get a button when pressed to display text from an external .txt file (which I've done so far), but (1) I want it to only display certain paragraphs (the actual dialogue) of this text and (2) every time I click the button it should replace the old text with the new (like in any RPG). Also, I eliminated one variable. In another document, I was able to pull information from a text file from my web server without any problems.

View 1 RepliesI am trying to work with a simple HTTPService. The problem is that my webservice is conscious of the order of arguments it gets. I will tell the problem with an example:

Note that in the above code I have mentioned the parameter rows before facet, but the url I recieve is facet=true&rows=0. So I recieve the argument rows before facet and hence my webservice does not work. I figured out that the contents of array is always sent in alphabetical order, which I dont want.
Is there any way I can achieve explict ordering of parameters sent?
Note that I am not in power of changing the logic of webservice(its basically a RPC service supporting both desktop and web client).
I know how to get it to the top but I can't figure out how to get the child to the back

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to create a set of 4 vertically arranged buttons that 'split' apart when those buttons are pressed. For example, if you click the topmost (1st) button, the bottom three buttons will drop down so submenus (for the 1st button) can now be revealed beneath. Again, when you click the 2nd button from the top, the bottom two buttons drop down, revealing submenus, and so on.
Now, is there a way that I can use actionscripting to tween the buttons to not only motion tween a drop down when a button is first pressed, but also to motion tween the button to return up to its original spot when another button is then pressed? Right now, I have two keyframes, side-by-side which each containing a different y-scale value for an object. Can I do some actionscripting to get the object to motion tween upward to its original spot instead of "clicking," or snapping back to is original spot when another button is pressed?
I want the press button to detect the last button pressed and if the shapes match, make them do something...obviously. I think I'm going at it the wrong way. I need to stick a "triange" id into the button/mc then if compares that and then if there is a match works then... right?

I have a series of buttons inside an array. I am trying to get the buttons so that once they are pressed, they remain in the over state. Which is a darker color than the up state. So that people know which button they have pressed. Is there an easy way to do this for buttons?
